For 3 years we have attempted to get this office to fix the incorrect coding for a preventative colonoscopy which was coded as preventative and corrected by the doctor who did the procedure and the facility but this office where the anesthesiologist is from still hasnt corrected the mistake and still sends me bills after 3 years!!! Why cant they fix this??? Poor customer service reps who arent doing their jobs and following through. They keep blaming Cigna and they are the ones who need to fix this!!!

I asked if I would be notified of out of pocket costs & was told that I would be contacted. I was not contacted. On the day of the procedure I was surprised with a ~$900 bill due up front. The billing estimate alleged that the estimate was mailed. I did not receive this billing estimate in the mail until 2 weeks AFTER my procedure. A month later I received an email bill from Gastroenterology Associates that disclosed another $374 owed. I was shocked as I already paid the ~$900 fees outlined on the billing estimate. I called & was told that the bill is correct & that I would be receiving ANOTHER bill for $360. I called the facility admin & spoke with ********* who informed me that there are 2 agencies involved in billing. I expressed my concerns & noted the failure to disclose that there are 2 agencies involved. She responded by saying that its not a new thing for 2 agencies to be involved & that there is a line on the billing estimate that mentions the possibility of additional fees. She consistently blamed the delayed mail for my dissatisfaction. The issue is the intentionally deceptive billing process. The line is sandwiched between paragraphs & reads: Additional charges for Professional Fees, ********************** may also be incurred & billed to you by Gastro Health. It does not give any sort of estimate for how much these additional fees might amount to. Nowhere is a 2nd agency mentioned, so how is one to know that there are 2 agencies involved based on one vague line? Why did I not receive a billing estimate from this other agency prior to my procedure? Informed consent is receiving an estimate of costs pre-procedure so that one can determine affordability. Informed consent is NOT a vague line that says you MAY incur additional fees. I am finding out a month after my procedure that I have over $700 worth of additional fees? This is a significant amount of money that should have been disclosed in more detail than you might have additional fees."

Sadly, I cannot submit a review with zero stars, because I would if I could. Gastro Health set me up for a medical procedure and told my that according to my insurance, my co-pay would be $270, which it was. I had the procedure and all the bills except the co-pay were taken care of by my insurance company. But then Gastro Health sent me a bill for $1124.00. When I called, they had no idea what was sent to insurance, if anything, but they said they'd resubmit. The say they did. A month later, I get the same bill. When I called Gastro-Health, they said my claim was rejected because my insurance was not in force on the day of the procedure, the same day my insurance paid the other claims. Obviously, something is wrong, but they appear to want to fix it. Their customer service is terrible. My doctor himself is great, but as for Gastro Health, terrible.

I have received multiple bills and emails for a claim that was processed and paid by my insurance company back in February of 2023. Phone calls to this billing company for services rendered in **********, **** go unresolved. They are billing for for the full amount billed to my insurance company when they've been paid as participating providers. They are horrible and being the wife of a physician for whom I did insurance billing for 12 years I find this practice abhorrent and totally unethical and unacceptable. Many practices these days are now owned by equity companies who know nothing about medical billing.

I received the same erroneous bill from their billing department three times even though I wrote back each time and attached a copy of the $1,760 that I paid at the time of the procedure, which was in Washington state. I was told the $1760 was the total cash price for the procedure since I wasn't using insurance. The erroneous bill mentions amounts that are completely inaccurate including that I paid only $260. The total due doesn't seem to correlate with anything else on the bill. This bill is saying "final notice." If this goes to collection, Gastro Health will be hearing from my attorney. What does it take to get this straightened out if they disregard the information that I am sending them. It's like a brick wall.

I would like to express my sincere disappointment in how Gastro Health handled my health matters from diagnosis to medical treatment. I've been diagnosed and treated for H. Pillory infection with a very harsh antibiotic treatment that in turned caused atrophic gastritis. With all the stomach issues I've been having, my gastro did not see any value in having my stomach examined and didn't see the value in having an endoscopy taken in the timely manner, which could have prevented many other issues from progressing. I finally requested to have an endoscopy taken months later, and was charged a $356 fee ahead of my treatment. The day before my endoscopy appointment the Gastro Endoscopy center called me asking for another payment of $1,000!! I ended up cancelling my appointment due to this outrageous cost for a simple diagnostic procedure and went to a different medical practice. Still waiting for my refund of $356 that takes 6-8 weeks to process via check. If you care about your health, look for a better practice, doctors that truly care about you and follow-up on the medical treatment how it works or doesn't work, because the medical treatment that was prescribed by Gastro caused me massive health problems that I'm still dealing with and trying to fix.

Last year when I made my appointment to see Dr F******* it took five calls to the office just to get an appointment set. Either the calls go unanswered, or when you finally get somebody to answer they put you on hold and never come back except to disconnect the call. You have one of the worst reputations for providing patient services. Check your own reviews, and you'll see. Recently, I just received a notice from your office to schedule an appointment. I just called and was disconnected four times. Twice the representative picked up and put me on immediate hold, but never returned except the disconnect the call. Last year, I got plenty of lame excuses that you guys were having phone issues, internet issues and staffing issues. There should be no excuses for that one year later. I think you guys just do not know how to provide excellent or even decent patient customer service. You're very good at providing substandard service. I voiced my concerns and complaints to Dr F******* in person last year, he vowed that changes were coming and that he was going to talk to the Office Manager. Sadly, it appears one year later you guys are still extremely deficient,l. If you guys even cared about your reputation you would be doing more than just responding to the numerous poor reviews you have on the internet with something other than contact our office for help. That is part of the reason bad reviews are being written is because your office is horrible, so it does absolutely no good to contact your office just to be hung up on, again.

Gastro Health has been acquiring medical practices just like other healthcare entities. Different offices will have different reviews as will the doctors employed in each location. I have lots of family and friends n the medical field and have learned that bigger is usually not better. My gastro doctors practice was acquired by them recently and of course I was disappointed having using that doctor for over a decade. So I had a colonoscopy performed in March by their ************ location. Before the procedure I alerted Dr. ******************* to a recent problem with rectal bleeding thinking it was from a hemorrhoid and asked him to repair that while doing the procedure. He told me the results were good, no bleeding hemorrhoid , no polyps (found the last two times) all clear. However the bleeding got worse and I took my films to a doctor from ********* in *****. Immediately he pointed out the source of the bleeding from various locations caused by Radiation proctitis . If I could see these spots after he pointed them out , How the h*** was this missed ? So I scheduled a procedure for them to cauterize these sites but then after doing the prep, which was as extensive as a regular colonoscopy, I thought to myself what else might he have missed ? Well they found an 8MM polyp that certainly did not grow in six months. My point to this review is not to be critical of Gastro Health as a corporation, but do not ever think that bigger is better. A sole practitioner or an independent practice is never judged by volume, billing, time guidelines or profit given to them from above. These things do not normally lead to better patient care.

I regret to say that I had a disappointing experience at Gastro Health Medical Center with Dr. ***************************** and her assistant, Genessis. I encountered several issues during my time there that left me unsatisfied with their services. One significant concern was the difficulty in getting in touch with the medical staff. It was frustrating to find that my messages and calls often went unanswered, which made me feel unheard and neglected. Effective communication is crucial in healthcare, and I felt that this aspect was lacking during my visits.Furthermore, I found the professionalism of both ********************** and her assistant, Genessis, to be subpar. It's essential for medical professionals to maintain a high level of professionalism, both in their interactions with patients and in their responsiveness to inquiries. Unfortunately, my experiences did not align with these expectations.Overall, I cannot recommend Gastro Health Medical Center based on my personal encounters. I hope that they can address these issues in the future to provide better service to their patients.Remember, it's important to provide specific details about your experiences to give your review credibility, but it's equally important to maintain a polite and constructive tone. Constructive feedback can be more impactful in encouraging improvements.

The care I get is great but the communication is terrible. If I miss a call from them I get a message saying to call them back, when I call back they have to leave a message for the person I'm calling and they don't call back. I don't know if they are not getting the message or what but it's terrible.
