I booked 2 discounted tickets on the travoport.com website - total cost $2225.08 - for short notice travel to ****** due to a death in the family.Within 2 hours I was contacted by phone by someone with an Indian accent *************) telling me that the ticket will not allow any carry-on or checked luggage whatsoever as it's a promotional ticket. When I asked for the ticket to be cancelled at that time, I was told that this is not possible and "nobody can stop this process at this time and you'll not be able to get a refund". At best, he told me that I could be a no-show and then try to get a refund from the airline (United).It's a total scam and something needs to be dine about it!Initial Complaint

DO NOT USE THEM!!!Booked a flight and then we got an email demanding us to call them. We did and they said because we had booked it less than 2 weeks then we have to pay the normal rate of 1800. I refused and asked them to honor the price that was listed. We did not see any of these stipulations on the website nor on our order confirmation.They basically then say you will not get your money back for 7 business days, thus forcing you if you don't have much money to take a higher price.They are thief's. On Feb 26 2024 I booked a flight from ******* MS to **** PA for $371.36. After receiving a call from the company stating I couldnt take anything with me except a 4 lb purse I asked for my money back & was informed that there would be no refund. After a number of different scenarios (including changing my flights) I agreed to take the original offer. When I called back to check on my flights I was informed that it had been cancelled!! Unknown to me!! And I still was not getting a refund even though I was not informed of the cancellation. Since then I have gotten a regular flight for the same money. When I called them to state this they didnt have anything to say. But I still like my money back.Initial Complaint

I booked one way flight on May 19, 2024 to ********* at $581.73 total trip cost and didnt receive eticket email for 2 days. I called the customer service and was told to wait next day and someone will contact me at 9 am local to verify my flight. On May 22 ,I called and was transferred to flight reservation agent who informed me the actual fare is $1900, i only paid to reserve a seat i was on standby,and it was a promotional fare. None of this information was stated on the website. She went on to claim she could give me a discount and I would have to pay $900 additional instead of $1300. I refused and informed her to cancel the booking and disconnected the call. I called again feeling uneasy and the same person said she would call back half hour later due to technical sues but never did. I logged into my online banking and they had instead posted a payment of $927.80 instead of $581.73. I called again demanding demanded to speak to Supervisor since the same person was handling other calls and would have to wait for call back. The Supervisor claimed the total fare was $1900 and was made ware of this fare when his reservation informed this morning. He said he could offer an alternative option to book a flight on May 25th, different price and cant cancel reservation and liable to pay $927.80- and an additional $800 . They used my credit card I used to book the trip at $581.73 and instead charged $927.80 without my authorization and about to add an additional $800. I called my bank reported this fraud , was advised to block the card before the second transaction occurs and wait for first transaction to be cleared so that I could refute these charges!Initial Complaint

I went on travoport website and booked two flights from jfk to aua for aug 6th to 11th the total came up to $886.40. I receive a phone call from some at there company saying are you aware of the travel restrictions I replied what travel restrictions because it doesn't state that on the website. they then go on to tell me I can't take luggage on the flight or pay for it at the airport. I stated that's ******** I fly all the time so I know. Travoport then says I would have to pay an additional $300 per person for my luggage I said h*** no are you crazy. Travoport then says well you can't get your money back you already been charged. I said excuse me how was I charged for something I didn't commit to. Also it states on your website that the charge will not post until your tickets was issued. I never received any tickets. I wake up Sunday morning and see a charge from American Airlines in the amount of $814.60 I never booked anything with American Airline. So I know it was them, I read reviews saying they do stuff like that. I could also send the picture of the amount they took off my credit card with american airlinesInitial Complaint

My sister booked a flight through Travoport to ****** for $287 round trip in 05/14/2024. Today 05/15/2024 they told her on the phone for a backpack it would be a total of $500 or more. The flight was with American Airlines and a carry in is free with them. Travoport was so rude to her. Yelling at her and adding possible fees. I ordered a round trip ticket from Travoport on May 1 for $179. They called back within a couple of hours saying that the ticket would not allow me to check any luggage for my 5 day trip. I asked the reservation be canceled. They said that they could not refund the ticket, but would upgrade the ticket to one that would allow checked luggage for an additional $203. I had no choice to accept.On May 13 I called to request an invoice for business purposes. I was told that it would be emailed within an hour. An hour and a half later the invoice was not received. They kept repeating inaccurate information about the reservation to me. They also said that getting the invoice would "take time," even though I was told earlier that it would take less than hour. After several calls and speaking to a manager I finally got the invoice 4 hours later. Most of the people I talked to at Travoport were quite rude and couldn't even find the correct information about my reservation.I will never book through Travoport again and would not recommend Travoport to anyone. It seems like a scam organization. I would prefer a full refund and to book directly with the airline.Initial Complaint

In 5/8 I booked airline tickets for $326. The company then called me claiming that if I wanted to take a bag with me it would be an additional $300 dollars. They claimed the website informs consumers that additional baggage fees would apply. That was nowhere in my booking information. They said the new charge would be o er $600 when Delta was advertising the flights on their website for $406. They are scamming people with advertising suggesting cheap flights, but call the consumer with excessive additional charges. Delta currently charges $35 for a checked bag, not $300 or more.Initial Complaint

Misleading sales!!!! Deceitful actions and over charges on any airline tickets. **************** will not help. Refusal of all callbacks to discuss any of this
