    Subject: Complaint Against Professional Plastic Surgery Miami Refund of Deposit To Whom It May Concern at the Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Professional Plastic Surgery Miami regarding their refusal to refund my deposit despite my repeated attempts to resolve this matter directly with them.I initially paid a deposit to secure a procedure with the company. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to proceed with the surgery and contacted the office to request a refund. Despite my numerous efforts to communicate with them, including phone calls and emails, the staff has been unhelpful and unwilling to provide a resolution.I believe this practice is unfair and unacceptable, as I am entitled to the return of my deposit. The lack of transparency and cooperation from Professional Plastic Surgery Miami has left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.I am seeking the assistance of the BBB to mediate this issue and help me recover my deposit. I kindly request that Professional Plastic Surgery Miami provide a full refund and improve their customer service practices to prevent similar issues for other clients in the future.Thank you for your attention to this matter.     I was scammed into paying a deposit without being informed it was unrefundable. I didn't even receive customer service, attention to my communication nor consultation. Contract needs to provide at least a reply to have the audacity to keep the deposit. From previous complaints, it seems to be a practice called fraud. My credit card company has also been listed in a complaint for not handling my case properly and with appropriate investigations.

    I had elective plastic surgery on 9/26 with Dr **** *********. I was told by the staff I could fly back home 3 days after surgery. I now know that patients should stay near the surgery center for one week. I have had several complications post operatively and staff only available by text. I was not getting responses until 2 a.m., and sometimes none at all. When I call the office they immediately put me on hold, and then hang up on me. I have asked for the surgeon to call me back several times with no luck. I have gone to the emergency room because my drainage tube was stuck , but they didnt have a qualified provider to help. I then had to see another provider for which I had to pay out of pocket because my insurance wont cover the visit. I currently have three open wounds on my incision that were previously closed. One of them is leaking yellow pus, which indicated infection. I texted the number for post op care given by the staff at professional plastic surgery and also called the office this morning. I was told there are no doctors in the office, but they are seeing post op patients. When I asked what provider was seeing the post ops, I was told the nurse, and in the same sentence I was told they were being seen by the medical assistant, Naivi. The post op instructions (they texted me), were carefully followed. I also was told during my pre op appointment that I would be receiving lipo for no extra charge, but was told on my post op visit that it wasnt performed. I am a nurse and have been in the medical field for ********************************************** all of my life. This is totally unacceptable and very dangerous! Ive also asked for my records and operative note be faxed to me three times, but no one will send it. Im seeking a refund and I also want other patients to beware of this facility. There is no way, after 2 months that I should still be having these complications. I havent been able to work because of this

Additionally, recovery recommendations and necessary follow-up actions are determined by the patients surgeon.

    We understand that living out of state can pose challenges, particularly with time differences that may result in delayed or off-hours responses. Nevertheless, we have maintained communication with you and have documented all interactions to ensure clarity and accountability.

    Delayed healing is a recognized complication that may arise after a procedure and does not necessarily reflect on the surgeon's expertise. As your surgeon recommended, obtaining an abdominal ultrasoundadvised on November 1stwas a critical step in assessing your condition. Without those results or an in-person examination, it becomes difficult to fully address potential issues, such as a seroma, which can develop into an infection if untreated.

    We must emphasize that a diagnosis cannot be made remotely. In-person evaluations are essential for accurate assessment and effective care. Our team is prepared to assist you with any required treatment during your visits to ***** and will continue to support you until you achieve full recovery.

    In August I completed an online inquiry for liposuction. Included in that inquiry was my medical history of a clotting disorder. Within 24 hours I was advised via text/email that I was an excellent candidate for 360 liposuction. I made a deposit of $250 and scheduled my date for surgery. On 10/3 I was not medically cleared for the procedure. On 10/4 I requested a refund for my deposit. The business refused to refund my deposit stating that deposits are non refundable, noting that I signed a financial agreement. The business violated the American Plastic Surgery Association code of ethics: Members should provide services under the terms and conditions which permit the free and complete exercise of sound medical judgment and skillI made good faith deposit for this service based on the their characterization that I was an excellent candidate for this service. I am not medically eligible for this service, The business defrauded me accepting a non refundable deposit with full knowledge that I was not an excellent candidate for this procedure.

    I had surgery done by Dr. ******** It has becoming intolerable since I had the surgery. I dont think it was done properly because it has been a pain ever since. I have been seen by several doctors and it is noted that it needs to be corrected ASAP or I may not be able to walk properly. I sent pictures to them noting the irregularities.

    Dear ***/ madam A friend of mine told me that Professional Plastic surgery can do what I needed done a lot cheaper than *********. I contacted their office and wanted to set up an appointment to have my surgery done . They asked me to pay a deposit $250 and during all my phone calls to them they never mentioned a NON refundable deposit . Even through emails no such a thing was mentioned. Last week I had a change of heart about the surgery and about being away from home. I called their office to cancel and get my money back. They ,at this last phone call, and only this last phone call said that they dont refund . All I want is to get my money back since they never mentioned a non refundable deposit over the phone or through their emails. Please let me know if you need me to send their emails. I also want to let you know that my cancellation came a month before my surgery and you should also know that there was no mention in any form about cancellation either. I hope you can help resolve this matter. .Thank you kindly for all your help.*******************

    I purchased a tummy tuck in February 2024 and was told I would receive a full refund minus the deposit if I cancel. I canceled and requested a refund June, 12, 2024. I paid $4500 on 02/14/2024. I was told my refund would be $4,000. Now Im being told the accounting department wont approve my refund. This is not ethical nor professional and I want my refund or id like to pursue legal matters. Now Im also being told the accounting department is only there on Fridays. It has been more than 2 weeks of this back and forth.

    I paid $1,000 to professional plastic surgery for a procedure I never received. At the time when I paid the $1,000 on two separate occasions, I was told my payments would be refunded if I am unable to get a medical clearance from my medical doctor. I contacted the company today but was spoken to very rudely and was told I would not be given back the $1,000 I paid. When I asked to speak to a supervisor the representative hung up on me. I am asking for a full refund of the $1,000 I paid to this company. I have not received any product or service from them and was assured my money would be fully refundable if I couldn't get medical clearance from my doctor.

    On 6/14/24 a full refund (including deposit) was verbalized following a ** scan they recommended on 6/13/24, with results received, they recommended I obtain the surgery in a local hospital given the founded medical issues on the ** scan. So, they canceled the surgery, despite them telling me they could perform the surgery despite my previously informed medical information prior to scheduling the surgery, including my $500 deposit. They indicated the refund would be initiated on 6/17/24. I made a $500 deposit on 9/29/23, $4100 paid on 5/31/24 and an additional $328 was requested, not previously indicated or informed, during my preop appointment, and paid on 6/12/24.Total owed: $4928 They have not initiated any refund or respond to my correspondence.

    I made 3 payments to the company towards a procedure, the original doctor left the company, I was instructed to choose a new doctor and procedure date. I requested an update on my itemized statement. I have been told for months that I would receive it by email over the phone and no one has contacted me. I would like a full refund and move on they do not seem trust worthy to perform my surgery .

    Hello, the facility has contacted me about having the procedure done and paying additional monies but still once asked for a statement and documents to provide to my primary doctor for clearance no one will release it to me.
