  I traveled Peru through Exoticca in March 2025 and I loved everything Exoticca planned, prepared and served for me and my wife. So, I just booked with my second trip with Exoticca through ***** who has been very helpful in arranging my travel needs.

  I have used several companies to travel and have been the MOST impressed with Exotica. From the booking questions and help/support to the airport arrival to the airport support leaving (Egypt) I think Exotica does a great job finding LOCAL guides to help support you the entire trip. The group tours seem to consider all the different levels of ability and they work to build in something for everyone. I have another trip booked for 2025 and will be using Exotica again in 2026 I am sure!!

  Disappointing Experience with Exoticca Not as Advertised We recently booked a Peru trip through Exoticca, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. Despite trying multiple times to upgrade our hotel accommodationsthrough phone calls (where we were on hold for over an hour) and repeated emailswe were told we had missed the deadline, even though we had been trying well before that point. The hotels provided were advertised as 3- and 4-star, but by U.S. standards, they felt more like 2-star motels at best. One of our rooms in ***** even flooded, another lacked hot water, and we repeatedly dealt with malfunctioning heaters and unpleasant odors.The tour guides were also inconsistent. Every day we had a different guide, and we were not informed ahead of time who our guide would be. Some guides were in a rush and constantly told the group to hurry up, which made the experience feel more stressful than enjoyable. Additionally, several excursions only lasted about 3 hours totalincluding transportationleaving little time to truly explore.Overall, Exoticca needs serious improvement in customer service, hotel quality, and the actual execution of the itinerary. The trip we booked was very different from what was advertised. Sadly, I would not recommend them and suggest others look elsewhere when booking a travel experience.

  Excellent customer service. We had taken an ******************** trip earlier this year and it was a super experience and had booked one for later this year and dealing with Exoticca staff has been very positive and accommodating. Today, I just cancelled and rebooked my trip for later this year (having the flex cancellation option) to save $1000 on the trip and get a better flight - cancelling the booked trip, getting the credit to apply to the new booking only took minutes - hassle-free.
