Please see the attached complaint I filed with the owner named "Email to Tony_01102025.pdf". The complaint is so long because of the amount of mistakes that I can't fit it into this section due to it exceeding the allotted amount of characters. The pictures in the attachment says it all. I've sought 3 opinions on this roof with the completed work that's been done up to this point by the contractor. All 3 have said this work is poor/unacceptable with one saying part of the roof needs to be ripped off and another stating the entire roof needs to be ripped off and redone. The flashing is done incorrectly all over the house. The attached letter you'll review will highlight every area they've made a mistake. The owner refuses to take ownership of the poor craftsmanship and the lack of adherence to the manufacturer's installation guidelines. A reasonable person will acknowledge how poor this job is by simply looking at the pics. The fact that he's even arguing with me is disgraceful. It blows my mind that he can stand behind this work. Again, look at the pics and documentation. The evidence is overwhelming. I can't let this guy on my property to do the repair work when he doesn't even know what the guidelines are for installing a metal roof. It's appalling and disgraceful that he has a license. I'm done commenting. You'll see for yourself when you read the letter and see the pics. Thank you.

***** is a business owner, the only thing that comes up on his business is that he does not pay his employees. I Guess we should have known he wasn't going to pay his contractor. Seems like a common theme with *****.

***** Breached the contract by stopping work. He simply stopped the work because he thought something looked wrong. When our Owner met with ***** to ask what is wrong about the roof, He said he didn't know what was wrong with it. It Just doesn't look right, and they sat in his driveway for 10 minutes while ***** looked on ****** to find something wrong. After not finding anything on ******. He then wanted a week to get second opinions. Well, it took about 3 weeks for ***** to get his opinions. His opinions that we saw didn't even get on the roof.

As you can see in his email, he has no factual evidence of anything being installed incorrectly. He just circles about saying how Disgraceful or Appalling our work is.

He is sending Drawings of Details that do not pertain to his roof.

We contacted the Manufacture about his Drawings and our work since this is the first time anyone has ever complained about any of our Metal Roofs. They completely stood by our work and said that it looks great, and nothing is needed to be fixed.

Also just to mention, Manatee County Inspection also passed.

Unfortunately, ***** is not a reasonable man. After the 3-4 Weeks Stoppage, Our Owner Met with ***** and tried to see if there was any common ground we could meet at. Of course, ***** was very combative.

We believe, ***** thought he was going to get Money from his Insurance after Hurricane ******. Well, they Denied his false claim of leaking and water damage. Because to this day he has no signs of water staining or any water damage in the home.

He also said we damaged his siding on the home, well we have photos of this area before we started work.... Guess what, Pre-existing Damage.

Unfortunately, At this Time, this is with our Attorney as we continue to Navigate through this difficult customer.

First off, before I respond to Leggett's rebuttal, I must thank the Lord my Savior for giving me the patience, wisdom, and strength to help overcome one of the most trying experiences I've dealt with in quite some time.  Trials and tribulations truly do lead to growth opportunities by producing a stronger, more genuine, and persevering faith.

I would like to address every part of Leggett's response by providing factual and visual evidence.  Regarding the visual evidence,I'll refer everyone to the attached pictures.  There's an old saying that goes something like this, "A picture is worth a thousand words".  I'll let the people reading this review formulate their own opinion.  The pictures say much more than I could ever put into words.

Second, the preparation that went into his response is indicative of the preparation his company put into my roof.  His reference to me not paying my employees is a perfect example.  I'm not sure why he's trying to bring my business into the equation.  He's obviously trying to attack my personal character.  The issue is that he googled my company name and got the wrong one.  There are many companies in my industry throughout the entire *** that have my name or a similar one.  The ** description that pulls up when googling my name says that employees are not paid.  The issue is that I'm a non-asset based business. Sorry ****, I don't have truckers on my payroll and you googled the wrong company.

Regarding the comment that I stopped the work, this is actually TRUE!  Yes, he told the truth about this one.  I pulled him off the job when it became evident that he didn't know what he was doing. Let me explain something really simple, and its roof flashing 101.  Or as my late father-in-law would say, "it's first grade second semester".  ****, the owner, told me that he was going to put the ****** trim over the wall flashing and then caulk the top of it, instead of z flashing it.  I was BLOWN AWAY when he told me this.  Please reference the attached picture that ends in 105.  Notice in this picture that the wall flashing is below the ****** trim.  ANYONE that has any idea about flashing knows you don't do this.  I can't stress this point enough.  The flashing has to be tall enough to be tucked behind the ****** siding to keep water out.  His team cut the ****** siding above the flashing and then caulked the daylights out of.  His proposal to me, as mentioned above (regarding placing the ****** trim over the wall flashing that was too short), was so preposterous to me,there was no way I could let him back on my roof.  If I did, I'd eventually have leaks absolutely everywhere since he did this around my entire second story.  By the way, he admitted I was right on his last visit when we were trying to come up with a resolution on how we were going to resolve everything.  I'm sure he doesn't remember that as well.

As it pertains to his comment about me googling to find something wrong, let me explain this thoroughly.  Besides not caulking the back side of the z-closures, where the ribs of the panels intersect the z-closures, **** didn't even know what a box end of the panel was.  The drawings that I got from his manufacturer, which he insists don't pertain to my house, clearly show that a box end of the panels must be done on the inside of the z-closure.  It acts as a secondary barrier for water intrusion. **** had no idea what the box end was and I googled it to show him a video.  After he viewed it with me, he insisted it was a "box end of the rib".  After he said that, I thought in my mind, "how in the world does this guy have a license" and "there's no WAY he's stepping on my roof again.

Additionally, my insurance company is Frontline Insurance.  They were AWESOME!  They paid out my entire claim within a few weeks.  The claim was not denied as **** states.  This is absolutely, unequivocally false and I have cashed checks to prove it.  I have paid **** 50% up to this point and I have filed a claim against his insurance company.  ********************* sent an engineer to inspect the roof on January 31st.  I have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the results.  I've also had 3 roofing companies,a project manager, and forensic engineer give me their opinion on the matter.  I'm willing to bet the reviewers of this complaint will come up with the same conclusion as the professional opinions I sought after reviewing the attached pics Ive provided.

In closing, I'll say this.  If for some reason, you don't believe any of the above to be true, please go to ************************** and read the reviews from ******* *., ********* *., ******* *., and ****** *.  Combine those reviews with the pictures I provided and then you can formulate your own opinion.

I believe all things happen for a reason.  I also truly believe in my heart that God put this business in my life for a reason. That is, to protect consumers from unqualified contractors who exploit companies and individuals who aren't necessarily educated or experienced in the construction field.

    Sincerely,
    Roger
