In August of 2023 I dropped my 2018 ****** Tundra off the ***** ******** for a simple tune due to a turbo charger put on my truck from another shop. Originally the plan was roughly $1,500 for the software and tuning. I paid a lump sum up front, then was asked to pay more before the job was done. Excuse after excuse has been told to me and empty promises of the truck being done. From fuel system add ons to exhaust abortion and added oxygen sensors. The list goes on and on. Ive now paid over 11K and have seen no pictures of parts that needed replacing or videos of dyno tuning. Which were all agreed upon verbally before I left the shop. Hes now sent me an update bill requesting me to pay him $2,200. $400 of that **** is for a battery, that kind you I replaced 2 weeks into the tuning job as he said the tuner was having issues due to battery voltage. So now he says the battery is bad again, which is under warranty. So why am I being charged? I believe hes charging for things that arent being done. Ive paid roughly 85% of the total cost (including the new bill) and dont want to give him any more $$ until the truck is done, running right and my old parts are returned. I believe he is robbing ***** to pay **** as when I dropped the truck off, he made the comment of a customer not paying a bill for a *** that was sitting there for months. My truck has been there for 9 months now. I feel like a lot of other customers have to have the same complaint but havent reached out.
