They hand write your address on the letter and place normal post stamps on it, hoping you think it's a letter from some relative. They leave out the return address too, so you can't know who it's from without opening it. Red flag #1: They're deceiving me before I even open the letter. The letter has a hand written post-it note saying "[my name], Please call now. [phone #] Ask for David" So more deception as they try to convince me this is from a person who cares. The letter, which contains "PRINTED EMAIL" on top, is addressed to David, not me, from Safeguard My Car. But it's signed "David F*****, Director of Client Services, Safeguard My Car". So David sent an email to himself, printed it out, then mailed it to me? They probably hope the confusing scenario will push me to call them. But all it leaves me thinking is "wow, this David F***** sure is incompetent!" The printed letter says "URGENT" large on the top to try and make me panic. The second sentence of the letter is "We show that they have insurance, but never finalized their service contract". This is a blatant lie. I find it hard to imagine that any legitimate company needs to manipulate people this much to potentially gain a customer. All this has taught me is that I'm dealing with a company incapable of honesty.

This company sent me a deceptive letter from “David” who appears to be writing to himself about a car that he thinks I own. It’s the same scam they’ve been perpetrating for years, and has been described in the other complaints you already have on file so I won’t go into it again. I wish there was a way to hold them accountable for what is essentially mail fraud. There is no “David.” I don’t know how they got my name but I want my household taken off their mail list permanently. Shame on BBB for continuing to rate them at all.

Definitely a scam, I got the fake email letter in the mail and called. The letter does not say who it came from (no return address) David wasn't available (probably busy writing emails to himself) Evan picked up and couldn't even tell me the company he works for and sounded unprofessional right away asking for personal information.

So, similar story to everyone else, letters, calls, but I’m going to go to the courts and complete whatever I need to complete to prosecute each and every one of you. See, I’m the type of person that does big things, silently. I’ve spoken to this company multiples of times requesting the letters and calls be stopped. Following that I received 2 letters, not just one like a slap in the face and complete lack of respect. This is my privacy, my life that you WILL NOT disturb any longer. It doesn’t stop at my review, it begins. You will wish you had stopped when I requested the first two times. And I can assure you that your response to me that I will no longer be contacted after todays date is a waste of your time. You will be prosecuted.

Same as the rest of the people on here I keep receiving letters from David to himself on fake email documents trying to get me to call probably just for more warranty people to call me. The problem is I know their fake and I don't even fully own my car to make these decisions anyway. The best part is a warranty is usually only good for 10yrs if I am not mistaken and my car they mentioned in the letter is exactly 10yrs old so the warranty is no good anyway. Really wish you fake *** people would leave us all alone and go back to the holes you emerged from. I worry about the people who can't point out the scams and fakes because stuff like this can ruin people's lives.

My mother received a letter addressed to David from David from Safeguard my Car. I called and asked why it was addressed this way and who was the other David? The woman could not tell me. She said “I don’t know I’m not the one who writes the letters”. Pretty convenient! She also got real offended when I suggested it was a scam. I feel like most legit companies would not get offended and understand the concern. I also called myself as my mother is elderly. So, to me this company is preying on the elderly. Shame on them!

******* scam artists still using deceptive wording and sketchy practices to try and trick buyers into a garbage warranty. Never ever give them your business, and burn every letter you receive. Somebody should try returning to sender with some "presents" attached. Every "business" with this kind of marketing model is guaranteed to be providing nothing but a black hole to throw money into.

I received a piece of deceptive mail that was intended to appear legitimate. It was an "email" from Safeguard My Car to "David ******", a Director of Client Services at Safeguard My Car, likely a fictional character. The email starts off with "David, Will you please...", and ends with "Thanks, David ******...". So "David ******" is sending an email to himself with instructions to reach out to me? Absolutely pitiful. Also, anyone who has used an email client before knows that printed emails do not look like this. The document has been manipulated with my own information--first and last name, address, vehicle make, model, and year--to appear official and urgent. I am concerned for those less able to discern official business from cheap, unethical scams like this one. Whoever is writing these should be ashamed and take a course in business ethics.

Received a letter stating my service contract for my car purchase was incomplete. Called and spoke to Rolando who stated he received my contact information from my insurance company. He went on to say that when we check the box to agree with the terms and conditions that their company was given permission to contact me. I contacted my insurance company and did a three way call. My insurance company stated they did not provide my information to them and are not conducting business with them. I asked Rolando which insurance company provided the data over and he did not know. I requested they put me on their Do Not Contact List. Nothing but scammers and liars.
