Absolutely HORRIBLE payment processor/company. My customers banks flag the ********************** as fraud sometimes and get ****** at me for it. Also, I cant even charge over $2,000 if my customer manually enters their card and over $4,000 if they use the card reader. Ive had to do 3 separate transactions sometimes if I had a job over $10,000. It also takes 7 business days sometimes to receive the funds. And dont even mention canceling your account. I have contacted them MULTIPLE times over the past year asking to cancel my membership and they say they require all my bank and membership info in order to do that. You cant even cancel it from your account dashboard, which is absolutely PATHETIC. I also email them directly from my email attached to my account. I dont care if its for verification purposes, *** never dealt with a company or service that doesnt allow you to simply cancel it from your dashboard and requires your bank info, account info, card reader ID (which the card reader broke within 2 weeks and charge you if you lost it and cant return it), and a few other things. Please beware of that. Also, their support is absolutely horrible. I switched to QuickBooks and its 10x better than this horrible company. Ive gotten charged $1,086 in the past ********************************************************** Also, their limits are absolutely horrible and you cant even charge something over $2,000 if your customer needs to enter their card manually, and I couldnt charge something over $4,000 even with my card reader. I dont care if the fees are lower, dealing with this company and having to deal with my customers getting ****** at me because their bank flags it as fraud is not worth it AT ALL. Avoid at all costs. Also, Id like my $1,086 dollars back as well, but theyre too trash of a company to do that for their customers after I ask for 12 months to cancel it.Stax Payments

Bait...switch...scam you until you figure it out for yourself. Make sure you remove them from your bank account because if you don't they will continue to **** money from your account after many attempts of cancellation. They keep changing the reason why you didn't cancel, even with email proof, and continue sucking money out of your account. Number 2 they brought me in at a certain rate and did a switch after 3 months for no good reason. Scam artists at the best and I don't say that lightlyStax Payments

Stax has repeatedly added Performance Analytics and Chargeback fees to our accounts, even after expressly stating that these fees WOULD NOT be added back to our accounts. We got burned once by Stax with thousands of dollars of these fees for stuff we didn't sign up for, and despite Stax stating we wouldn't ever be charged these fees again, they did continue to charge these fees. Ultimately, after a bunch of illogical back and forth discussion, **** eventually said it was our responsibility to to check our statements every 30 days and reject the fees they add every 30 days if we don't want to be charged these fees. You heard it here. Stax will charge you fees, then you request they be removed, and Stax will tell you they're removing them and won't add them back, then they'll add them back and tell you it's your fault for not checking your statement every 30 days to tell them (AGAIN) that you didn't want to be charged those fees. This is theft, plain and simple. And this is far far away from being transparent. Stax LIES!Stax Payments

A complete and utter scam. Do not by any means switch to them, because the entire thing is a bait and switch. They promise you 1% and then charge you close to 3%. Then they gaslight you and tell you you agreed to it, but when I ask them to show me where it said that they "cannot" find the email that stated it.Stax Payments

since 2020 I have tried to email them when I set up my Payment depot account: to this day I have not received an answer. I learned that they became Stax and to this day I cannot log in to my account. I called the number 877 and the other numbers 855 : there is no way to get a human being that works for stax. I received an email by a *********************** that was totally scripted: a link to Stax website without any information on how to set up the account sign in: and a link to the phone of PCI compliance: which again no one answers the phone. There is no possible communication with any Human.Stax Payments

1 starI used their service for a couple weeks last year. Their fees went up more than triple overnight with no reason why. I've been trying for 2 months to get my 1099-k and was told they didn't do one so my CPA went ahead and filled my taxes. Today, the tax deadline, 2 months after being told they didn't do one, I get an email that states sorry for the delay but here it is. Stay away from this company. It's nothing but issue after issue.Review fromSepehr L

1 starHorrible company, no customer service and you cannot get help from anyone at the company if you have an issue. Credit card transactions do not get batched out and they steal your money. Very sneaky and shady company. I am now reading the reviews from other people and I have had the same issues with this company. I wish I had come on to this platform to vet them before I started working with them. I cannot believe they have an verified rating with a 1/5 star customer review rating. I think this is why they operate under various company names so you don't realize who they really are.Review fromKim Yen N

1 starI operate a small salon and have been a customer of Payment Depot for several years. However, since their merger with Stax, I have encountered an issue involving an unauthorized charge of $79.99 for PCI non-compliance. It's important to note that I am consistently compliant with PCI requirements. Each time I identify this unauthorized charge, I promptly dispute it, and Payment Depot has consistently issued a refund to my account.According to the December 2023 statement, there has been another occurrence of the unauthorized $79.99 charge. This marks the fourth instance of such an incident. Once again, I am reaching out to dispute the charge. In line with previous communications to them, I have enclosed a section of the statement that highlights the unauthorized charge, along with a PCI screenshot demonstrating my compliance. The recurring nature of this problem raises significant concerns for me. I am seeking clarification on whether this issue is persistently problematic or if there is a possibility that it may be a scam that remains unresolved.Review fromCherie B

1 starStax is a fraud and steals $$ from small woman, minority owned business! I've been waiting on my deposit since 11/22/23 (almost a month). They sent me two new Dejavoo terminals out of the blue, I used them for an event and ran 66 credit card transactions during the course of the evening. The systems failed at Batch out at the end of the event and an agent assisted me to receive a batch report to show all of the credit card transactions. I have emailed countless times and called customer service. They respond when they feel like it and sometimes not. I am based in CA and they call my phone at 6am or super early so I won't get their actual call. I desperately need my money to make payroll to my employees and the customer service agent (ASHLEY) hung up in my face this morning, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! They keep trying to put the burden back on the customer to prove the transactions were valid (although the credit cards were ran through THEIR HOST TERMINALS). I am out of over $2,000 and they don't care at all. PLEASE DONT USE STAX AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND A COMPLETE SCAM! I am owner of ******** ******** ******* and I am happy to provide additional details to anyone else being ripped off. My next move is to SUE THEM IN CIVIL COURT.
