To Whom It May Concern:I visited the Good Feet Store located at ****************************************************************************** on December 8, 2024, due to ongoing issues with hip arthrosis. When I asked about the price, I was told one pair of insoles would cost $580.00. I was asked to step on two pieces of paper, which highlighted the pressure points on my feet. I expected to receive custom-made orthotics a few days later, not immediately.About 10 minutes later, the associate returned with three pairs of orthotics. The situation quickly escalated when he presented a laminated chart displaying various price packages, some as high as $7,000.00 for a "family plan." I interrupted him, stating I had no intention of spending thousands of dollars on orthotics. He then clarified that one pair of orthotics cost $580.00, meaning three pairs would cost three times that ********* this point, I felt trapped and deceived. When I asked what would happen to the additional two pairs of "custom-fit" orthotics, he casually replied that they would be given to other customers with similar issues. I was shockedthese were supposed to be custom-made for my feet and my needs, not repurposed for others. However, I noticed that the orthotics were nothing more than generic plastic insolesnot custom-made as promised. It's evident that they were not manufactured in-store. I reluctantly paid $745.30, including the orthotics and 3 pairs of arch activators. I signed a statement stating that the "custom-made" products were non-refundable. The orthotics do not fit properly, as expected, since they are generic inserts.I know this store engages in deceptive practices and high-pressure sales tactics to take advantage of customers. I want to warn others and prevent them from experiencing the same ordeal. I feel cheated and would greatly appreciate the assistance of the Better Business Bureau in recovering my money. I can take back the products, the insoles have not been used.Business response

We are so sorry to hear this customer was not pleased with their visit. We reviewed camera footage and determined the sales associate followed every policy and procedure we have during this transaction making sure only to give the customer the correct information. The customer was informed each individual pair would cost $550. The customer was also informed the supports are custom fit and not custom made. Custom fit to each individual's arch length and not customer made to each individual's foot. There seems to be some general confusion we would like to address with the customer so there isn't any confusion! If the customer is also having any pain, discomfort or concerns with the supports we urge them to reach out to the store they purchased from so we can try to find a solution or invite you back in for an adjustment. Attached I have our disclosure form the customer signed during original purchase.Business response

7/20/2024, I paid $1703.40 to Good Feet Store. I looked up this store because they specialize in orthotics. I went to the store in Orlando Florida at the Millennium. I spoke with one of the salesmen. He showed me the sign stating the orthotics take care of Plantar Fasciitis which is what I had. I was happy because I was having a little pain. He explained the procedure on how the set of 3 orthotics work. He took a print of my foot said the othotics will be sized for my foot. He also measured my foot size. He said I had an unusual narrow foot. He gave me the package which included one pair of sneakers and 3 different types of othotics. I left the store wearing the sneakers and a pair of the orthotics. The 4th day my foot was in so much pain from wearing the orthotics and sneakers, I had to see a Podiatrist on 7/24/24, who said the orthotics did not help my Plantar Fasciitis. He exrayed my foot gave me a shot and said my sneakers were too wide for my foot and everything all together made my foot worse. I called Good Feet Store spoke with a manager she said it was nothing she could do. She did not try to resolve any of the problem. I was scammed because he said the orthotics was measured for my foot but he did not take a mole print of my foot only a paper print and went to the back and came back in a few minutes. I have no experience in this field so I was not aware that he did not know what he was doing. .Initial Complaint

My boyfriend and I went to The Good Feet Store at *************** on 6/08/2024 around 4:00 pm. I currently suffer from sciatica and plantar fasciitis. The lady who attended us, told me that it would relief my pain but over a day of use it has only made it worse. The product does not work. Its literally a piece of plastic in your shoe. I dont understand why their policy has a no refund rule when the product is intact with the receipt. I just want a full refund. My boyfriend and I spent $3087.90. We also had to open a care account for credit to be applicable to purchase the insoles on our credit. This is such a scam. The Good Feet is not a doctors office to be promising relief in pain to their customers. The business committed to provide relief in pain and comfort but that is not the case in this situation.Initial Complaint

On 5/28/2022 I went into The Good Feet Store in Daytona Beach, FL. I was in so much pain from a bad pair of shoes I was wearing, all I needed was another pair of shoes. I purchased the Brooks Addiction Walker 2 in black. I had been wearing New Balance and decided to try the Brooks & the salesman said I could return them if I didn't like them. I sat through this incredibly lengthy sales pitch about how their "3 Step System" would change my life! I informed him that I had a torn meniscus in my right knee & asked if it was safe for me to use such an aggressive arch insert & he assured me it was! He repeatedly told me about all the success stories & how another customer came in a wheelchair & was able to walk out of the store because these arch supports work so well & how the customer & spouse were crying together as they were leaving because they were so happy with the results! Well I have had the complete opposite results!! I am in excruciating pain & these have seriously hurt my knee with the torn meniscus even worse! NOT ONCE did he mention a NO RETURN POLICY on the arch supports until I was already in the middle of paying then I was told I had to sign something. I didn't realize what he meant until I pulled out my receipt to take them back & attached with a staple is a paper saying "No cash/money back refunds will be given under any circumstance." WHY? THESE ARE NOT CUSTOM ORTHOTICS MADE JUST FOR MY FEET! These are pre-packaged arch supports they have in the back room. WHAT A SCAM! I spent a Total $1,426.60 for 1 pair of shoes & "Arch Supports" I can't wear including $89.85 for antimicrobial liners & $59.85 for "Arch Activators" that I don't even see in the bag so no idea what those even are! The shoes I will keep but I WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR THE REST! How irresponsible of you to take advantage of customers like this.Business response

I purchase 3 arch support system for 1,277.55. on 5/13/2022. I was told life time warrenty. I got home and look at receipt that was put in the bag and saw no refunds store credit only.I went back to Store on 5/15/2022 and said this was no told to me. They said is on receipt. I look around store and front entrance no Sign. I said you have no signs about your no refunds. Store Mamager said all they need is on receipt. He would not give me refund. I look up online The law in Florida only concerns retailers who will not issue refunds. If your store policy is a "no refunds" policy, Florida statutes require you to clearly state this conspicuously near store entrances or the cashier's station. If you do not post a Return Policy informing customers of your "no refunds" policy, customers are entitled to a full refund if they make returns within 7 days of purchase. I was back in 3 days.I call debit card number and credit union is lanching an invitation. I have seen 100 of complannts online in all of the state they have stores.I want my refund and hope there is fine for not having signs. Most of there customers are in pain and looking for help. This such be a crime also. This company has an Attorney General complaint with the state of California for fraud.Business response
