I am writing this review to express my disappointment with the treatment my sister and I received at the Greenway Kia East dealership. On December 5th, my sister visited the dealership with the intention of purchasing a car. The sales staff were friendly as usual; however, our experience quickly took a turn for the worse.**** ******, the salesman, sold us a Kia ***** GT at a staggering price of $38,215.77, instead of guiding us toward a more affordable option in the $25,000 to $28,000 range. From the beginning, **** was aware that my sister was looking base model but after he discovered I had excellent he proceeded to push the more expensive vehicle on us to earn a higher commission. I even asked **** to show my sister alternative cars that were within her price range, but he ignored her requests and failed to present any other options. Furthermore, he did not explain different purchasing options, such as leasing versus financing. It felt as though he took advantage of my lack of knowledge, thinking he could easily manipulate the situation.I must admit, I was taken in by his sales pitch. He even sent me a photo of my sister sleeping on the couch while I was signing documents, trying to rush me into finalizing the purchase late that Thursday evening. I didnt have sufficient time to read through all the documents properly and thought I could review them later since my sister was tired and unable to focus on the transaction. However, she was devastated the next morning when she discovered the daunting payments she would be making over the next six years.I encouraged my sister to return to the dealership and speak with **** about exchanging the car for something more affordable, but we quickly realized that we had both been misled.I urge you to reconsider your sales tactics at this dealership, as it appears to be scamming and manipulating buyers into purchasing overpriced vehicles.Review from George C

I went with my wife today to this dealership where *** purchased two vehicles before and I thought I was gonna have a good time there. I also had the pleasure of meeting 2 employees that I used to work with in the past but what I didnt expect was being there for almost 4+ hours with my wife and not leave with an answer to a very simple question ,tell me What do I need to put down to achieve the payment that I was looking for? I wasted my time and unfortunately, it took all this time to find that obvious answer at the end. The desk manager named ***** didnt even have the common decency to apologize to me or my wife because he had no business in a manager position to submit ********** credit at least six times for bank approval to make matters worse, he told my wife that my credit score is probably going to take a 20 point reduction. I luckily wasnt there because I was feeling a little weak and I was borderline going to have an anxiety attack. I dont plan on going back to this dealership for a very long time maybe forever and I dont expect to recommend or refer anyone to this dealership which is unfortunately 10 minutes from my houseReview from Robert V

Offered us a program that didnt even exist.Told us to make 3 large payments, then come back in 3 months and do a refinance and payment would be cut in half. (Red Carpet Program) Also was told we would receive $10,000 rebate to be applied to our trade in, which we also never received. Went back to dealership, and the only thing they offered us was for us stop making payments and let the finance company repo the vehicle, which they called EARLY TERMINATION. This was per three different managers we spoke to.We are Senior Citizens with a very small fixed income, and now we are stuck with a $913.00 a month payment. Something should be done with this company so they dont rip off more Senior Citizens.Review from Joseph n

This is the worst dealer I have ever been to. I hope you don’t have to bring your car here for service. They don’t even answer the phone. Actually they did answer the phone after a few minutes and hung up on me the third time I called they finally answered “who this?” Then transferred me to voicemail. No one will ever call you or give you an update on your car. It’s so bad the mechanic just never showed up so no work got done on my car. I can’t wait to get rid of this car . I will never buy a Kia again. Update: They still have my car. They have had it for about 3 weeks and they have no clue what’s wrong with it. The phone rang for 11 minutes and no one answers. Update 2: They couldn’t fix my car so I went up there to sell it to them. They gave me a reasonable offer. After I started the process of selling it the svc dept guy came over and told me my car was fixed. Would have been nice to have been called or texted that my car was fixed. I was so over this place I just wanted to be done with them so I sold my car , they told me to call on 14 business days if I hadn’t heard from them to get my check. Here we go again. Called multiple times , hung up on every time. I spoke to 2 different departments. Both transferred me to a full voicemail and hung up. After 7 calls I still didn’t get to speak with anyone.Greenway Kia East Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. We value hearing from our customers, and the inconvenience that occurred in our service department does not reflect our standards of customer service. We are currently looking into the events you've detailed, and we will provide you with an update regarding your check.Review from Jolene C

If only no stars was an option. Utilizing their online platform to acquire a vehicle, prior to coming I have been speaking with an individual who I inquired about the bad credit program because I would need it and base on their criteria I was told I am qualified (which I have it over text). So I got the means of everything they wanted and arrived to the dealership to start the process. I arrive to the dealership with everything that was necessary, then they ended up informing me they couldn’t find my application for the preapproval site. After searching they found it to be told “oh you can do it, but you need triple that is stated on the website if you want that vehicle”. So I am baffled and he tried to push a brand new car (same year, just the basic model) that’s not even on the lot that I didn’t want. And even trashed his own associate who I have been working with prior. I test drove one similar and ended up going ahead with the process of seeing about doing it. Just in this one time they ran it the day I applied to preapprove before today, then added numerous additional inquiries on top of that one. I ended leaving today with no vehicle as they utilized the bait and switch approach. They were dead set on the vehicle I needed and did not care about the vehicle I have discussed with the individual. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE. Kia was looking as a reputable brand, but I fear that may be changing when places like these can sell their vehicles or fix them as 3/4ths of their vehicles are in repair or broken. It was a dishearting experience to go through and opened my eyes to not trust Kia anymore, especially this dealership.Review from John P

Terrible service. I came in for service and the shop performed services I specifically requested not to be done. When I asked for a refund of those specific services, the management was unwilling to work with me. The service writer told me they would be able to remove specific services from a package but did not. Nobody went over the repair order with my wife when she came to pick up the vehicle. The maintenance minder was not reset and the service sticker was not changed. There was still fuel induction solvent in the catalytic converter when she picked up the car, and had the car smelling like sulfur.Review from Joshua E

We were scammed into a warranty and GAP coverage, telling us it was necessary to get a loan. There was also a $1,595 detail package thrown in and we were never informed about as the finance manager scrolled past all that before we could read it. The detailing done on the car was horrible at that. Since then we’ve been trying to cancel the warranty and GAP to no avail. Kia claims to have sent out the cancellation but we’ve seen nothing. They don’t answer the phone in the finance office, instead it goes to a voicemail box that’s always full. We were told email is the best way to communicate with them, never once have they responded to an email. We tried to reach out to the warranty company, turns out they’re based in Malaysia with only foreign numbers to call, or send a message through their website, which they don’t reply to. To say the least we bought a car that was suppose to be $17k we put $2k down and we we financed at $26k around $8k more then we wanted and we conned into it.Review from John B.

The worst car buying experience of my life! I bought a used 2017 Kia Sorento from Greenway. I had the car about 11 months. The car started having engine problems. So I looked up the car online for maintenance problems. I saw that there was a recall on that particular engine. I took the car to Greenway and they told me the car was not covered under the recall because it had combustion problems in the engine and the recall was on the rods. When I brought the car in I clearly heard the rods clanking, so loudly that people turned to look at the car! I was not given any paperwork. They told me that all they could do was offer me a rebuilt engine at 4000 dollars! I did not have this kind of money. Since this has happened, I have lost my job, I have ruined my credit because of no income, I have been evicted and lived in a park in Orlando for a week until a friend heard what was going on and found me and has thankfully put me up. I have job offers that I have to refuse because of the transportation issue. 2 years ago I got a Cancer diagnosis and even though in remission I still have some movement difficulty from Chemo! I came in to tell my story to Pedro my salesman and he did nothing for me!. Please do not buy a car from him or any Greenway dealership! They have ruined my life! I am a Addiction and Trauma therapist and I used to have purpose to my life, now I wonder what will happen as I wait to hear, at 62 years, and 32 years of helping people whether a business within walking distance will hire me. Years ago the BBB review would make a difference! Frankly I think this place is so cold hearted that they could care less. Don't buy a Kia either!Review from Kevin S

Terrible service. Sold me a car with only 1 key and promised to create a 2nd. Two months later and nothing. Tired of calling.
