3/6/2024 in the morning on SR-417 While I was driving to the office on 417 near the ************************, an object flew off a white truck, which I later realized belonged to bluewater company, towards my windshield. I was able to swerve abruptly to the left, but the metal box hit the right light of my car and subsequently caused damage by penetrating through the metal.Both your company truck and I pulled over, and the driver provided me with what appeared to be expired registration and a non-active driver's license. Unfortunately, in my hysterical state, I did not immediately notice that the documents were illegitimate. The driver mentioned that he had called the Florida Highway Patrol, and although he initially expressed a desire to leave, I requested that he stay until the police arrived. Approximately 1.5 hours later, he claimed to have called the police again and was told they would not be coming as long as we exchanged information.The driver stated that he did not have an insurance card in his truck and provided me with an office phone number before leaving in an aggravated state. Despite my efforts to contact BWT office with the number provided ************), I did not receive a callback. Subsequently, my insurance company attempted to reach the office but was unsuccessful. Furthermore, the office refused to provide insurance information, citing that they do not carry metal boxes.Upon investigation, the metal box was found on the road and identified as a metal box for an electricalmeter. While I understand that this company may not directly install such boxes, it is evident that it fell out of one of their trucks, which had an expired registration and was operated by a driver with an invalid driver's license. Additionally, other items in the truck were not properly secured, including a collapsible ladder.I request that the company provided insurance and took responsibility of their employees road behavior. I should not pay for someone's negligence.
