I feel it necessary to warn others of the unethical practices I have endured with my timeshare at Legacy. Several years ago, I was assured that my timeshare was sold and my name would be removed from my contracts. However, I have recently received a collection notice from Pinnacle Recovery for $30,716.17! How is that right? I was assured that I would no longer be held accountable for anything that has to do with this timeshare! And, after multiple attempts at communication with Legacy, I have received nothing in response, which is why I am turning here. What kind of business is this?

I called Legacy Vacation Club telling them I was going to pay my annual dues in March when I was paid my bonus. They said that that was ok. I paid them on March 14th and I received a letter from a collection action named pinnacle requesting the original balance plus an extra 350 fee.

Bluegreen sales team *** ********, ******* *********, ***** *******, and ******* ****** are ******! I cant believe I fell for their lies. Im beyond upset right now and I cant believe I was tricked like this. Ive been trying to get out from under bluegreen for a while now because scheduling a vacation is a nightmare. You have to plan so far in advance and I just cant do that. Plus, maintenance fees continue to increase every year. Currently, its $1,375, which is basically the cost of my entire vacation. They also lied about extra costs. For example, on my last trip, they told me that parking would cost $50 a night or $150 for three days. But they said if I did a site review, which would take about an hour, theyd credit the parking fees. So, I go to the desk at the end of my trip, ready to do the review, and they tell me it was canceled and Im on the hook for the full parking fees. When I asked about selling the timeshare, they promised they could help me, but guess what? They dont. Then, on top of everything else, I lost my job right after my mother-in-law passed away. I had to cover the funeral costs, and my father-in-law had a serious health scare that required two surgeries. All of this left me in $10,000 of debt, but I still had to pay the maintenance fees and other payments for the timeshare, which only put me deeper in the hole. I had finally heard from them about an exit plan, but when I reached out to follow up, they told me the offer was gone, and now their settlement department doesnt even exist anymore. So what am I supposed to do now? Reselling the timeshare isnt an option. This company is a mess, and I seriously regret ever signing up for it.

I am writing to formally request the termination of my timeshare ownership with Legacy Vacation Resorts due to ongoing challenges and extenuating personal **************** wife, *****, and I originally purchased a timeshare with Legacy Vacation Resorts (formerly Ramada Timeshares) in December 2001 during a promotional presentation in *****************, ********. In the earlier years, we enjoyed family vacations and utilized the *** exchange program to visit destinations like *********, *******, and ************However, over time, our ability to use and enjoy the timeshare has significantly declined due to serious health issues. I have been diagnosed with severe neuropathy, resulting in a significant loss of sensation in my legs and feet. Additionally, I have faced prostate cancer, pneumonia, and complications from major open-heart surgery. My wife has also endured severe medical challenges, including debilitating knee problems that required double knee replacement surgeries. These health conditions make travel impossible for us.Given these circumstances, I respectfully request that Legacy Vacation Resorts release us from our timeshare obligations. We can no longer utilize the property and cannot sustain the associated financial burden in light of our current health and limited mobility.I kindly urge Legacy Vacation Resorts to consider our situation and provide us with a compassionate resolution by terminating our agreement.Thank you for your time, understanding, and consideration.Sincerely,**** F. ***** Contract #****** Trust/Account # ***************

Complaint against Resort World of ******* Condo II Association and Legacy Vacation Club, LLC.Purchase Date: 03/25/1983?Account Numbers: ***********, *********** We attended a presentation that lasted over three hours, during which we felt pressured and bullied into purchasing the timeshare. Promised incentives, were never delivered. My husband handled most of the negotiation, and we were misled by false promises about the resort. We were guaranteed full access to our timeshare but were only allocated part of the week. Additionally, the resort did not meet expectations, with several amenities missing or not as described.Due to my mothers illness, I retired early to care for her, leaving us with only one income. Since then, my husband has passed away, further compounding financial difficulties.

We feel defeated, cheated, and scammed. *** has taken nearly everything from us. We wanted to exit our timeshare with them because we lost confidence in their services, as they lied to us with false claims about their program. A refundat least $******is well-deserved, especially since we have never used the timeshare. The shame of this mistake is so overwhelming that we cant even bring ourselves to tell our kids about it. Weve spoken with multiple people at ***, but no one has been willing or able to help. They even tried to sell us more about 6 weeks after we purchased it, and what we asked was to cancel it. ***** *******, in particular, played a major role in convincing us that this was a good idea. He led us to believe he sweetened the deal by offering an additional ***** points on top of the ****** we purchased for the first year. He let us believe he was giving us extra holidays with *** if we purchased the same day. We were told maintenance fees would be $800 but the actual cost is $1,044.50 per year. Now, we are stuck with something we cannot afford. Our financial and health situations have made this even more unbearable. **** has endured over 400 needles in his neck in the past decade and is now undergoing new Parkinsons treatments three times a week. These treatments arent covered in ****** and must be paid for out-of-pocket, which has placed a heavy burden on us. Recently, my doctor called with X-ray results showing that I, *****, have four fractures in my spine. There is no way we will be using this. Now, were left with fees for something we will never benefit from. On top of everything, were preparing to move to accommodate our health and financial needs, which has made this situation even more dire. We want to get out of our contract with *** and at one point, we even thought about sitting in BGVs parking lot to warn others before they fall into the same trap. Wed probably end up in trouble while the real perpetrators go unpunished.

On August 31, I checked into the legacy vacation resort in **** where bedbugs were discovered not only in my room, but on the floor below in my daughters room. We were not offered another room. No manager was on duty and we were left to fend for ourselves on Labor Day weekend. I contacted the manager for a refund and he stated that would be acceptable. I have yet to receive the refund, I have called seven times I have called the agency that I booked through and they are stating that the company legacy resorts is not responding. I am out $261.26. I would like that amount refunded.

We looked at the reviews for Bluegreen, but it seems we did so a bit too late. We wanted to file a complaint instead because when we reached out to ********* about our concerns, they refused to let us go and insisted we pay over 18 months of maintenance fees. We feel its unfair to be forced to pay for something were not using. Our fees are current, yet it feels like were being taken advantage of. For the past three years, weve struggled to use the timeshare due to a lack of availability for our preferred destinations and dates. This has been a persistent issue since we first purchased it. Looking back, we realize the sales pitches we received were misleading. Weve stopped using the timeshare ourselves and have given the weeks away to family, but we can no longer afford to do this. Ive gifted three weeks to my sister over the last three years: August 2020 (King 583, **********, **), July 2021 (King 583, **********, **), and July 2023 (Solara Surfside, ********, **). Ive used the remaining points for hotels, but I've lost points some years, leading to further wasted expenses. The costs keep rising, and I still cant book the vacations we want. The increasing maintenance fees and financial strain make this unaffordable, especially since we cant book the vacations we were promised during our initial purchase or any upgrades. When we tried to unload our ********* membership after purchasing the Diamonte membership in *******************, they took our ********* membership to lower the cost of the new membership. However, we later learned that our ********* membership didnt transfer, leaving us responsible for the ongoing fees. We definitely put ourselves in a tough spot with this one.

I own a timeshare with Legacy Resorts at *************, which Ive only used five since purchasing it. When I wanted to use the timeshare in ***********, I was informed they didnt have any options there, despite being told I could use it anywhere in the world at the time of purchase. Every time I attempted to book or exchange my timeshare, I faced obstacles and excuses about availability. This was discouraging and happened repeatedly, making it hard to enjoy my investment. When I requested to give it back or sell the timeshare, I received little support. I was promised help, but I learned they only sell timeshares and dont buy them back, leaving me with no options. Maintenance fees have steadily increased each year, and I struggled to pay them, which further limited my ability to use the timeshare as outlined in the contract. After retiring, it became even harder to manage these costs, especially since we became physically unable to travel and not able to use the timeshare. The penalties for not being able to pay the maintenance became unbearable. This entire experience has been stressful and overwhelming. I feel misinformed and misled about the timeshare process, and now that Im retired and living on a fixed income from Social Security, the burden has only intensified for both me and my family. Im eager to let go of this timeshare, as I simply cant afford it anymore. They are the worst company ever! I would never recommend them to anyone.
