I see a number of unanswered questions/complaints from years of 2023 and 2024. The question is...........IS LEGACY VACATION CLUB STILL IN BUSINESS?I received via certified mail dated February 19, 2023 stating Legacy Vacation Resorts / LVC Travel Members went out of business December 31, 2022.NOTE: Legacy Vacation Club and Legacy Vacation Resorts use the same address of P. ****** and *********************************** were faithful members of Legacy Vacation Resorts for over 20 years now. They received their dues like clockwork, with no issues. ******** passed away on 2/9/2016 and ****** passed away shortly after on 8/10/2020. How is it almost three years later, Legacy is still sending statements and emails to their deceased clients? Legacy Vacation Resorts is absolutely ridiculous. Now that we are requesting to cancel their contract, they have grown silent. This timeshare has never been used and obviously never will. This has gone on for far too long. We do not understand why Legacy Resorts wants to hold onto their membership. We know it is well within the power of Legacy Resorts to ***** our desire for termination and we will continue to pursue the termination of their membership through whatever channels necessary. Please open a complaint file and investigate the timeshare company Legacy Vacation Club.The error is clearly on the side of Legacy, whose sales people misled us about what we were being sold. Legacy Vacation Club has not upheld the promise that it was an investment that could be sold back at any time. These statements were false and this misrepresentation has resulted in a huge financial loss for us. We have continuously been confronted with the reality that what was was sold to us at the presentation, was NOT what we purchased.We have notified them in writing several times to request the cancellation of our timeshare and the reasons. We get no response at all. It is unfathomable a business can be allowed to treat consumers in this manner.It is our hope the Better Business Bureau will assist and help us resolve this matter with the cancelation of our timeshare contract.Respectfully,***************************** ***************************Customer response

Since filing our complaint there has been no response from Legacy Vacation Club.
Please follow up on our complaint file and investigate the timeshare company Legacy Vacation
Club.
We have continuously been confronted with the reality that what as sold to us at the
presentation, was NOT what we purchased. We have notified them in writing several times to
request the cancellation of our timeshare and the reasons. We get no response at all. It is
unfathomable a business can be allowed to treat consumers in this manner.
It is our hope the Better Business Bureau will assist and help us resolve this matter with the

To whom can get me assistance with this matter,I have two timeshare contracts with Legacy Vacation Club and I have been trying to get ahold of them to assist me in the process of canceling. I have not been able to get ahold of anyone from the company which is why I am reaching out to you. The day of the 23rd my stepfather arrived to your ********** and was charged to get a room even though he already had a reservation paid and had stated it but was not honored. I have called several times to that location to get this problem resolved and they have done nothing just say they will get back to me and never do. We want the money he was charged because he already had a reservation and who never was in charge that day does not understand that when someone has a reservation already they arent to be charged to get a room. We want the total of $379.75 back as that is the total he was charged back to his original form of payment.Initial Complaint

Better ************** My complaint is about the timeshare company, Legacy Vacation Club. I am particularly disturbed that even though they are aware that I am 100% disabled, with limited income, they still lied to me to get me to make a recent payment. I was promised, that if I made the payment, I could then cancel my contract. However I then found that to be untrue This is an outrageous breach of trust and shows that Legacy Vacation Club has no integrity whatsoever. I am both outraged and disappointment due to the way I have been treated over the years and recently by Legacy Vacation Club. I have been a customer for several years, and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. At the initial sales presentation, their sales representatives were extremely aggressive with their tactics. My anxiety was exploited in order to manipulate me into making a purchase and I was even told not to leave until I did so. When I expressed my discomfort at being forced into such an action, they laughed in response.This type of behavior and customer experience is intolerable, I demand that my money be refunded and that my timeshare contract be cancelled with no further penalties or obligations on my part. I just called today 12/04/23 to Legacy Vacation Resorts in *********, ******* regarding my **** Annual fee of $1264.87. I am a 75 year old widow citizen in very poor health and with financial problems having to support my amputee disabled son at home. I want to get rid of my points that I converted from a week timeshare to points a few years ago since I am not using them only to learn that if I turn it over to them they would charge me a $2068.00 fee! I said what! You want more money than what my annual fee is due on 01/01/24? Wow!!! My next option would be to pay on installment payments where they would charge me monthly 1.5% interest, $5.00 processing fee, $25.00 late charge fee and not be able to use the points because they would be frozen until the annual fee would be paid off. They no longer are selling points therefore, it only tells me that they are ripping us from where ever they can. The ********************* no longer exists so the **************** is now doing their duties, but, you dont get a title with your points only a contract, go figure. They are inconsiderate of our citizens because they want their money the first of the year knowing people have Christmas Holiday celebrated with no money available so they can collect more money from them. Legacy Resorts with their crooked business will not last for long in the future.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a complaint again Legacy Vacation Club. I want my contract canceled with them and their hold on me life removed. My patience with that company has reached its limits. I have spent years and THOUSANDS of dollars with little to show for it except a pile of bills. The least Legacy can do is respond to my letter or phone calls. I spent the time to send very detailed emails about the distress Legacy has caused and issues as well as request in writing to cancel my contract. I have received no response at all to the emails sent in February, June and July, and September. I have called Legacy several times and never can reach anyone to talk about my complaints. What does it take to get a response? How can a business treat consumers in this fashion. I havent even gone into the many ways the sales team misrepresented all the things I wanted and reason for the purchase. I HAVE NOT received what I paid for and they continue to benefit, while I do not. The hours at the initial presentation were spent being pressured by salespeople into buying a timeshare, preying on consumers who believe in being polite. I feel manipulated and taken advantage of and would like my contract canceled and a partial refund.Please help me and the thousands of others they are taking advantage of by investigating this complaint.Sincerely, *************************Initial Complaint

Dear BBB, We would really like to have a response from Legacy Vacation Club for a release/deed back as per their letter dated 6/8/22. This is absolutely ridiculous! We've sent them at least 2 certified letters in the mail and still can't get a response! We just aren't able to afford to pay for a timeshare we cannot use because of our financial situation caused by our age and medical conditions. We have asked for financial relief but the resort only cares about money. They completely ignore all requests, even though we are all paid up. What kind of company promises to help people, then shuts them out completely? A narcissistic company with a fraudulent "customer service" department. At this point, it feels like they are just trying to keep us on to keep the fees rolling in, even though we will not pay them anymore. All we want is for them to follow through with their promise to help us resolve this and they ignore us intentionally. We are made to feel like second-hand citizens by Legacy Vacation Club because they took our money but now they pretend we no longer exist. Who does that? Con artists and Legacy Vacation Club apparently. We are irate at the lack of communication and lies we've been told. It is time for the world to know what kind of scam Legacy is running.Initial Complaint

I am a long term owner at Legacy Vacation Club on Brigantine Beach New Jersey. (week 34) Legacy also owns Villas directly next to the resort. For several years owners were given the option to spend their time in a villa based on availability. Straining in 2020, that privilege was taken away and the villas used for rentals only. While I understand and appreciate that, when asked if I could upgrade and PAY to stay in a villa it would cost $80 per night. I requested 5 nights in a villa at $400 but was denied, they require all seven nights. They would prefer to have the villas empty with no income, then to accommodate an owner willing to pay for partial rental. This is very short sighted and GREEDY. Shame on Legacy. I hope thy will reconsider this going forward and would appreciate their response
