      Central Heat and Air, LLC is complete TRASH! *** never left a negative review EVER in my life but they are that bad that I felt obligated to in order to save others from using them. We were unfortunately forced to use them through our American Home Shield warranty. They came out Thursday, said they fixed our AC, AC stops working in the middle of the night. Send a tech back out Friday at 4pm, said they fixed it, AC stops working again 2 hours later!! Call them back but at this point its after hours and have to wait until Monday. Call them this morning, tell them its still not working. She says shell call back but that someone will be back this afternoon. Never get a call back and they wont answer the phone. So I call American Home Shield to see whats going on and they find out that Central Heat and Air actually cancelled the work order Friday night and said we made racially disparity remarks, plus made threats to our office staff which is COMPLETELY untrue. Were thinking that maybe they got us confused with a different unhappy customer but either way, totally unacceptable. American Home Shield tried for hours to get in contact with this company so they could officially release the work order to another company but could not get a hold of them. So we were forced to go yet another day without AC

      *********** we are sorry that you felt compelled to write a negative review against this company for your ac troubles. Central Heat and Air responded almost immediately to each of the two service calls you placed through your home warranty company. Multiple malfunctions can arise and while we attempt to diagnose every issue during the first visit, it does not always happen that way. In your case, each instance that our techs arrived to the non-functioning unit, the unit was repaired and left working. We are sorry you could not get through to our office staff. Many times it is a result of being on long hold times with customer home warranty companies trying to get authorizations on their behalf. Leaving multiple messages delays our response time. We could not meet your expectation for a third visit as quickly as we had for the first two visits and communicated this to your warranty company on two separate occasions on Monday. We requested they send another vendor if needed since you were claiming another issue, and we were not available in your area until Wednesday (which is still within our guidelines with AHS, but you demanded faster service). Customers wait on average 2 days for initial service call/work order. Your expectation was for immediate service without paying for expedited work order. Our apologies if that was unclear to you. We do hope that your new issue is minor and gets attended to quickly. It will not be by us however. Positive reviews outweigh in comparison to the volume we serve, but your poor review does affect us. We hope you understand the scope of the matter better now and consider retracting your review if you find the time to do so. Thank you.

      Horrible company. Terrible etics and workmanship. This company made several bad faith calls on my unit and did not return to correct the problem. I have filed a complaint on theor licence and will and do intented to pursue this matter further to prevent them from continuing to do this to others. As a claims examiner I know better too bad there are so many shady contractors out here. Thank goodness there are checks and balances for this kind of unprofessional behavior from Janky contractors such as Central Heat and Air! They should be shut down and license revoked!

      ************, we are sorry you have been having trouble with your ac unit. Please understand that our job as a vendor for your home warranty company is to diagnose your problem and report it back to them to so they may determine coverage and authorize us to do the repairs according to your policy. As a claim's examiner you are aware of that process. Sometimes multiple issues do arise within days of each other, and we were happy to send out another technician when we received the recall. If you were dissatisfied with our technicians, or questioned their ability, there were options you could take, such as calling our office to let us know, or ask your warranty company to send a second opinion outside our firm. It seems your claim was denied by your home warranty company, and you are taking retaliation against the vendor, which should not be to blame. Hopefully you can understand that and come to reason before proceeding with actions that will be met with legal representation defending our rights against liable and slander and the terrible ethics consumers often get away with. There is nothing for us to gain in trying to purposely deny your claim. Thank you.

      I agree with everyone Central Heat and Air is unresponsive and un professional. I went through my home warranty. They came out the first time and got my AC back running and was supposed to come back out to finish the job but didn’t show up. No one answers the phone or calls back. I refiled with my warranty company again when my AC went back down the day they were supposed to come back. Upon their return visit he said he had to go pick up a part and would be right back. I specifically ask him if he was actually coming back and he said yes. He never returned. Now I have been sitting at home waiting on the return without a call and no one answers the phone. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. If my warranty company didn’t pick them I would never have used them. They have a 2.14/5 BBB rating. Save yourself the pain.

      I also currently have an home warranty with American home Sheild” central heat and air to my service request as of 6/14/23 my AC is not working as well A technician was assigns to come take a look and claimed to order parts. It is now 7/11/23 I still have not heard back from this company. After speaking to the receptionist after having American home Sheild to reach out the receptionist lies over and over agin saying she will Call back and have the technician to reach out they never follow up or get back with you. I have a new born child in this hot behind weather with no results. I’m also blaming American home Sheild because when I reach back out to them they have no solutions to fix this problem. I will make sure I tell anyone that come across central heat And air to find someone else. They are so unprofessional I don’t see how they are still open for business.

      Unprofessionalism is not defined by being busy. Record temperatures have all ac companies in the area working overtime, in conditions most could not bear. Our staff gives 100% attention to its customers. Unsatisfied customers leaving poor reviews because we could not provide service should not be given weight. If this, or any customer for that matter, has a claim denied by their home warranty company, our firm is not required to complete the repairs. If one's claim was accepted and parts have been ordered or are pending, any delay is beyond our control. If this customer has a legitimate concern and is needing an update on their work order, they should be calling their home warranty company. We understand that can be an inconvenience. We are in communication with our customers and warranty company reps throughout the day. Our phone lines are often busy; leaving a message will ensure that we can respond. Leaving multiple messages however only extends the response times. We urge this customer to email us directly at [email protected] if they are indeed needing a matter resolved and believe we can help. Otherwise, we are sorry that we could not assist them further with their claim through their warranty company. They will need to find a service provider in the area and pay out of pocket.

      I currently have a home warranty with "American Home Shield" and Central Heat and Air, have been assigned to our service request. Our AC unit is not working and we have been waiting for a technician to come and take a look. Our original service request was submitted on 6/30/2023. It is Wednesday, 7/5/2023 and still nothing. It is currently 80 degrees in our Florida condo and it is unbearable, we have all fans going but it is still pretty hot. Central Heat and Air LLC aren't answering their phones either. We have had issues with our AC unit for many months now and they cannot seem to fix it. It seems they do not give "home warranty" calls any priority.

      I contacted Central Heat and Air (Ormond Beach) through the BBB website to get a quote on air duct cleaning (something I *thought* I needed - good thing I go to my doctor to diagnose an illness instead of self-diagnose). I chose Central Heat and Air because they have an A+ BBB rating. Within a few minutes I received an email response from the company. I called the company to setup an appointment for an estimate and was able to make an appointment for the next day! The "technician" showed up at the appointed time. I informed him what I thought I needed (air duct cleaning). He did a complete inspection, and he suggested that the blower needed cleaning (and some disinfectant), not a full air duct cleaning. Not sure why my regular servicing company missed all the dust and crud on the blower, but the "technician" showed me all the dust. Gross. He also did a few other things to patch the system, without charging me. The cost was substantially less than what I had been quoted over email by another company for air duct cleaning (and would the other company have sold me on a *cheaper* service? I'll never know.) Interestingly, the "technician" was the long-time owner of the company who has multiple decades of experience in AC (and a degree in mechanical engineering to boot). The owner completed the tasks efficiently and showed me the results, including emailing me before/after photos of the dirty/clean blower blades. Additionally, the owner told me that his company's two-year service contract INCLUDES the cleaning of the blower, *and* the contract is cheaper than my regular AC service company. In summary: timely communications, professional, honest, and knowledgeable service. Nice to know that these types of companies still exist.
