I brought my cat in because she was not eating, and constantly drooling and appeared to not be able to close her mouth. Immediately, they offered X-rays which I felt was pointless considering her symptoms. I approved bloodwork and they examined her. All in the back where you cant see what care your animal is actually receiving. The bloodwork came back very vague and her liver enzymes were elevated. They offered an ultrasound to see if they could find the reason for the elevated liver enzymes. I figured it was because she hadnt been eating. They claimed they gave her fluids and a shot to help stimulate her appetite. They also claimed the drooling was because she was nauseous. I never saw my cat during the roughly 4 hour office visit. She was kept in the back, away from me the entire time. I was finally sent home with meds for her. Of course this all happened on a weekend and my regular vet was closed. Two days later with no improvement, I took her into my vet and he knew within 2 minutes of examining her that she had a huge inoperable tumor that could be felt by doing a routine oral examine. This was preventing her from eating and swallowing. So my poor cat not only suffered for days, but was also give an appetite booster which was just horrifically cruel! Stay away from this place! This place has a shady vibe and I am beyond devastated to have lost her and most importantly, have her suffer even more when it wasnt necessary. Im not sure what exactly they did or didnt do to her, but it was a total waste of $700. Im so glad I was able to take her to my regular vet office and they helped her cross the rainbow bridge with love and compassion. I will also add, I was never given any paper work from the ** office visit, lab results, etc. I had to call in and request them so my vet could review the findings. I found this incredibly odd and there was definitely extra notes included that didnt pertain to my cat.

We brought in our little cat with a respiratory problem. They took her and put her in an oxygen tent, which was expected. A rather stoic rep told us it would cost us $975.00 to "stabilize her", and left us a long time in a room to think about it, while they processed "options." They came back in the room with the options, and fanned them out all over the exam table. It looked like a mess of pages spread in all directions. The range went from over $600.00 for euthanasia, to over $3,000.00 for testing and a "plan" with no guarantee that our kitty would survive. We felt like we were being held emotionally and financially hostage, and were really confused on what would be the right thing for our cat. Since our cat was having a very bad episode, and already had x-rays and tests from her vet, which these people could not access at night, and we felt she would not make it to Monday to go elsewhere, and would die at home of asphyxiation, we opted for the euthanasia. I went in a sparse room with old furniture, and the vet brought my cat in, laying in a silly bed with a silly blanket. She had already had a needle in her arm to "calm her down" which was NOT authorized. While the vet was euthanizing her, THEN the vet said "You're doing the right thing." We had checked "cremation" and checked "no" for the footprint. When we got her ashes back, there was both a footprint and a nose print in the package. Someone pressed my dead cat's nose in ink, then on paper. What am I to do with this, recycle? Throw it away? These people are so aloof. They do not pay attention. We could afford to take care of her, but the whole way the situation was treated was just awful. Now I keep second guessing myself and feel we may have not done the right thing. Should we have gambled her suffocating? We will never go there again, and cannot recommend it to anyone. I have no idea why BBB gives them an A+ rating, especially with all the negative comments here.

I literally cannot say enough good things about this place. We brought my dog in at 6 at night experiencing nuerological deficits. She is female pitbull and is sweet as pie but gets very scared and anxious at the vet. We have to muzzle her. I forget the name of the male vet tech but he was absolutely amazing with her. Took her muzzle off and sat on the floor with and treated her with such compassion. The veterinarian Dr.Carver was amazing. Came in , sat down and discussed every option and did a thorough history with her to make sure she could accurately diagnose my baby. Are they expensive , yes but it's an emergency vet hospital . We actually received a refund after all was said and done. Amazing staff!! So happy with every thing that happened here. Great job , I am so happy there are still people put there that don't judge an animal because of their breed. Thank you for everything!

Mr. ******** brought his dog to our hospital for assessment for limping after a seizure. He did not wish to pursue any workup for the seizure activity, but consented to radiographs for the leg. The radiographs showed a left coxofemoral luxation. Mr. ******** was presented with both surgical options and non surgical options ( Ehmer *****). He declined both, and decided to leave with no treatment except for a basic pain medication. A follow up call was placed to Mr. ******** 3 days later and he reported that his dog was doing well at home with a sling.

The team was compassionate, attentive and engaged in my senior dogs care and discussing with my husband and myself the best way to support our beloved Cory… yes it ?? but so isn’t regular care for our pets… unfortunately we don’t have insurance for our dogs so out of pocket is necessary… they are worth every penny… thank you Dr.B for your professional and compassionate care…??????

I took my dog here 3 weeks ago because he was breaking out in rashes, his genitals were discolored and swollen and his snout was swollen/ irritated. They took him in and without any tests done prescribed him antibiotics, anti inflammatory medication and some spray that smelled like straight alcohol. I think all the medications were $95 each even though I found the same exact medication online for a quarter of the price. $750 later I have over priced medication, no tests done to figure out what happened or how to prevent it from happening again. 3 weeks later (now) my dog is still breaking out to the point he’s bleeding. I called them this morning and I explained what is still going on with my dog and that I am frustrated that I paid $750 for absolutely nothing. In hopes they would have him come in to run some tests to really figure out what’s going on. What did I get? They told me to bring my dog to his primary vet (who is closed on weekends and after I get off work during the week.) This place wants nothing but your money even though your dog is clearly in pain. This place deserves nothing but to go out of business. It is nothing but a scam.

One of my TNR kitties had his rear leg run over by a neighbor. He disappeared for a couple of days. When he came home we brought him to the emergency vet hospital. The staff is so very professional and amazingly kind. My boy had to have surgery to put his leg back in place. He is only 6 months old and has his whole life still to love on me. Obviously I went for the surgery option. The only other option was euthanasia which was not appropriate in this case. Yes it cost money to perform surgery and overnight care. The bill ran me $5k. Yes that is alot of money but reality is, it is not alot of money when you think about it. These are medical professionals with lots of overhead to operate a 24/7 365 days a year emergency animal hospital. Everything in this world is so expensive. Heck, how much is a stay in a human hospital overnight. Vets are doctors too with all the same kind of overhead to pay for. I know the money part can be difficult but it is more about the quality of life for the pet. The doctor was so caring and genuinely concerned. Ok the wait time when you arrive can be excruciating BUT you get to wait in your vehicle so you can talk on the phone, watch tv, listen to music, take a snooze. This is no different then taking your human loved one to an emergency hospital. You wait in a waiting room for hours before you know whats going on. Doctors, nurses and staff have many others they are trying to help, diagnose and triage, all behind the scenes. So give them a break and let them do their work with a clear head, not with someone being nasty or rude to them prior to maybe your pets surgery. Remember that the outcome of your pet may not always be what we hope for and that is not the doctor's fault so don't take it out on them. You will still owe the bill even if your pet passes same as you would with a hospital for humans. FYI my bionic boy is coming home today. Thank you Animal Emergency Doctors and Staff. Remember to visit your pet during their hospital stay.

The staff are rude, the doctors are rude, none of them have any sort of bedside manner, and I am fairly certain none of them own a pet. It does not matter what my experience was because all I’m going to get is a bunch of garbage excuses. Oh, we’re busy, oh, we don’t have enough people. There’s only one doctor. OK so when people call in and tell you that their cat is sick tell them you can’t take them. Make me sit in the middle of the parking lot with no evidence or proof whatsoever that anything was done for my cat and now she’s worse than when she went in. I have an appointment with an actual veterinarian not a fly by night witch doctor now. Who in their right mind pays $2000 for nothing? Nothing was done, it was all “just in case “I have never heard of such a shady practice in my entire life. If you cherish your pet, please do not bring them to this place. They will have your cat in the building for hours and they will just bring the cat or the dog out and not have any proof that medicines were given but they will charge you for them. $1300 is what they charged me for xrays, an IV (which I have no proof of because they wouldn’t take pictures for me). Antibiotics, and ear drops. That doesn’t include the $90 diagnosis fee. They did that fast enough. They originally brought me an estimate of $851 and had me sign it. I asked for a copy and they said no. I said what? You’re going to help me put my signature on some thing and you’re not going to give me a copy of it? And they said this isn’t a bill it’s just an estimate. I said I don’t care what it is. I want a copy of it and that is why they thought I was mean and told me I could take my cat and go home. The woman there Practically tossed my cat on the couch when I insisted on seeing her. They insisted on her staying. And they wouldn’t give her back to me unless I paid them $1910. It’s not the money I paid it. It’s the procedure, it is not right, yes, they are overcharged and they are horrible. Horrible people.

I took my precious cat here and waited 2 hours in the parking lot. When I inquired about the wait they said my cat was stable and I needed to wait. I assured them she was not stable and they finally took her. Another 5 hours later I asked for her back as I knew she wasn't getting the care she needed. This facility is not equipped or staffed to adequately care for your pet. There was one doctor on staff for numerous sick pets. $525 later and very little care I brought her home. She passed away early the next morning. I'm just glad she expired in my arms and not at this facility. They do not have your pet's best interest at heart. You're better off going to a regular vet or a different animal hospital. A very unethical business.

We are very sorry for the loss of your kitty. We understand the grief you are feeling, and we share in your sadness. When you brought your kitty to us, we were very busy, and similar to human emergency rooms, it was determined that your kitty was stable at the time of presentation, and did not need immediate life saving care, but we did have several patients during the time of your visit to our hospital that did need that level of care, so your wait time was longer than usual. We did however, perform a physical examination, and our doctor made the recommendation for some diagnostics to help determine the cause of you pet's illness. You elected to move forward with some lab work, which did reveal some concerning findings. Our doctor recommended further diagnostics, in-patient treatments and hospitalization which you declined. You elected to have us treat your cat with some injections for pain and nausea and would follow up with your regular veterinarian in the morning. Our staff tried to work with you to find a medical plan that you were comfortable with, but to say that we did nothing to help your kitty while she was at our hospital is not truthful. We are truly sorry for your loss. AEHV

I am beyond disappointed by the lack of care, compassion and urgency this vet and their sister company provided. My dog passed away while at this facility. It devastates us to know that he was just being “watched” and no tests were being done to find out what was wrong with him. He could have at least been in the comfort of his own home if all we were doing is “watch” him. He was a healthy 2 year old German Shepherd. He should not have died. Please TAKE YOUR PET SOMEWHERE ELSE.
