I signed a contract on 9/13/21 with *** ****** (***) ******** of Elite Marine Construction to build a boat dock at my home residence and paid a $2000.00 deposit to hold my space. The expected construction start timeline was 12-14 months on the contract. On 8/2/22 I, and many others, received a group email from *** ******** stating an additional 8 months was going to be added to the expected construction date. On 3/30/23 I inquired of Elite's Office Mgr. ******, when my construction would start and was told that my project was still an additional 9-10 months out (maybe). On 4/10/23 I emailed *** ******** and ***** requesting to please cancel my contract and return my $2000.00 deposit as nothing had been done towards my project and 19 months had elapsed. ***** was very polite and said she would work on returning my deposit. After several additional emails with *****, I still have not received my $2000.00 deposit back. I just want my deposit returned and as of today it has been over 21 months since my original contract signing. I do believe *** *** ******** is a reputable dock builder and I want the best for him, ***** and Elite Marine Construction.
