i had a problem with my throttle control on my 2007 dodge nitro on 11/13/2022 as per " thunder bolt " on my dash which meant there was a throttle malfunction where i was not getting gas to my engine so i had my car towed into a 1 auto care on nov 14 which was the next day. and spoke to **** who called me at my home who l now learned is not a mechanic but the owner and he advised me what we already knew that the throttle had to be serviced or replaced but naturally he chose the more expensive option to replace the throttle body instead of following the protocol to first check out the air filter and then clean out the throttle body with a throttle body cleaner that cost $ **** tops but he chose to order a throttle body and parts for almost $500.00 and explains he has to order the part and it will take a day, and the next thing on he decides to check my a/c out which was never mentioned when i had my car taken to him and all of a sudden my a/c has a leak which was completely fabricated to charge me an addiontal $ 200.00.But to get back to my throttle body i now pick my car up on the 15th of nov and drive maybe 5 miles to my home and there is the " thunder bolt " once again on my dash and the car keeps stalling out, so now you have to assume he never replaced the throttle body and once again i have my car taken back to get him to stop playing games. And low and behold he does not have to order the throttle body he has one in stock but has to order according to the mechanic the gasket because the one on my car just fell apart when he tried to remove the old throttle body, well now I know he never had the original throttle body off and was willing to charge me for work he never did, but got caught. One more thing I am going on 85 years old and he saw an easy target an old man with signs of dementia coming on. that needs a service dog to get thru life and this is what these people do for money and they smile at you like your their best friend

To Whom This May ***************************** brought us his vehicle as he described with the lightning bolt light illuminated indicating a throttle body issue. After a diagnosis was performed it was determined that the Throttle Body had an internal malfunction requiring replacement and not a cleaning. The part installed malfunctioned the following day and needed to be replaced obviously at no charge to ************** however when the second throttle body was being installed a vent hose between valve covers broke from being jostled due to the age of the rubber. This was communicated to ************** via phone call and the price was approx. $26.00  for the part with no labor to install which he agreed to pay. The hose was not readily available and it did require an additional day for the dealer to have it delivered. When the job was completed ************** was informed the vehicle was ready for pick up and when he came to get the vehicle is when there was an apparent miscommunication about the hose. **** is the shop owner and spoke with him and he is not the technician, this is correct and I don't see the relevance as he did not diagnose the vehicle nor perform the repair. **** was out of the shop at the time ************** proceeded to YELL at the counter person about how he was being ripped off in front of another customer without even attempting to state his issue. When I (***********************, Technician) was finally able to calm him down and see there must be a simple miscommunication about the hose I told him we would not charge him for it because its too simple a thing to get upset over. He states then that we never replaced the original throttle body which I told him that I still have his original and the defective part in the shop and I have an invoice from the parts houses they were purchased from. He seemed to understand this and I asked him to please wait for **** to return so he could edit the ticket and remove the hose cost to which he agreed and went outside to walk around. **** returned within a timely fashion and ************** immediately began verbally attacking him, AGAIN in front of our customer who later decided to tell us she had P.T.S.D. from an abusive relationship and was extremely disturbed at his behavior while commending us on how it was handled. In reference to his A/C, it was noticed that his high side port was leaking. There was no cap on it and green dye was evidently leaking. When it was brought to his attention ************** stated he had work done on his A/C previously and he didn't want to return there so could we address it. We did an evacuate, recharge and replaced the ******** valve at no cost. He was not charged for any refrigerant or any additional fees. If ************** has a problem with his throttle body he has a nationwide warranty on labor and parts that is customary on all our work and will be honored.

I am rejecting this response because: all i want is the money for my a/c which was not a problem until he made it up and the ****** for diagnose which comes to 300.00  and as far as he wanted to show me the part for the recent throttle body which was the original one not the one he said he installed also if he installed like he said how come the hose did not fall apart the first installation, you want to know why because he never installed a new one the first time thats why.

i drove out after he claimed he installed a new one drove 3 miles and there it was again stalling as far as my a/c that was never in question as there was no problem but once he had my car he went looking for something just like when i went there for a oil change he now shows me the repairs my car needs for $1900 and he did all that work  diagnosing my car  and never charged me a diagnose fee

    Sincerely,
