      I have 3 children using the Accredited program. I mailed off their progress reports on 3/25/24. I had an extension for receipt until 3/30/24. I even called on 3/29 to confirm receipt and was told they are unable to determine that since they are working hard to log in the work since this is a "busy time." I received an email telling me I have to pay $20 for one of my kid's work to be graded. I called and was told it will be waived. I checked my account this morning and I still have a $20 fee for "late work." Someone please tell me how in the world do I have 1 child whose work was sent on the same day received and welcomed and his literal twins work is late? And as of today, I owe $40 for 2 kids all of a sudden? Everything was post marked prior to 3/30. I did what I needed to do, I just needed someone to honor this.

      Good morning, Brigittia, 

      After researching your issue, I saw that the work for your children's grading period was received on 4/04. Abeka credits our customers as having submitted their accredited work based on the date work is received rather than when we are able to review the work for completion. Due to the large volume of work that is received at the end of the traditional school year, processing time for the review of incoming student work is often elongated and may take 1-2 weeks for initial review. This accounts for why the fee was not assessed for work received on 4/04, and which was due on 2/29, until 4/17. Because you had reached out to Abeka immediately after the automatic notification of the fee was sent, your account was notated to not assess the late fee for your second child's work. This explains why the fee was only assessed for one child even though the fee was due to be paid for both children. Ultimately, upon escalation to a supervisor, this fee was waived and removed from your account on 4/22.

      I contacted Abeka today to discuss an email I received referring to some late work that was submitted when my daughter was a student enrolled there. I was requesting a transcript for her to see if she had passed her last algebra class so that information could be passed on to the school she is now attending. The person I spoke to put me on hold and came back saying that they would be sending me an official transcript through email and/or mail. At no time during our conversation did she ever mention that she was going to charge my debit card $300 because of the lateness of the work turned in. I checked my bank account on the app and saw that $300 was pending to be taken out and sent to Abeka. At no time did I authorize this transaction or was I ever informed when I spoke to her that they were going to be doing this. My debit card was still linked to the account because that's the way the tuition was paid before, it was paid off last year. When I spoke to the woman the first part of my conversation was "I cannot afford the $300 that was requested in the email that I received." That money is supposed to pay the last couple of bills I have for this month and I do not appreciate having my money taken for something that I did not authorize. Now I've had to cancel my debit card and turn the matter over to my bank for an unauthorized transaction. To call yourself a Christian organization and then basically steal my money after being told I could not afford to pay that...where is their conscience? I would never recommend this organization to anyone, I know it's a business but it's not very professional to bilk people out of their money.

      I have been waiting for a refund since October! I have called countless times only to get the run around. The first few times I called they said that the check was on the way. When I didn’t receive it I called and was told that the check was never processed. In the beginning of December they said a check was finally sent out. Well I have not received the check. Now they keep saying that they are waiting to hear from accounting. I have had 3 different reps tell me they need to check with accounting and will call me back. No one calls me back. I believe they have stolen my money. This is not a Christian company.

      Absolutely ridiculous.. I ordered curriculum for two of my students and decided to return it (which I had to pay $200) because they don’t pay for the return on their product… I returned the beginning of October.. it’s December and I have been calling every week and still NO RETURN even though they have the curriculum. Every time I call they say we don’t have the product then I have to explain that yes you do your employees have said they’ve received it. Today I’ve finally gotten somewhere and the lady told me if we do have all the product unused we will be able to give you 75% of your refund… UMMM WHAT?!?? YOU HAVE ALL OF THE PRODUCT & I EVEN HAVE TO PAY $200 OF SHIPPING. I will never ever order from abeka ever again.. completely unprofessional and a scam. Be warned, they could literally care less

      Abeka stole money from me via unauthorized credit card charges. I was shocked!!!! I had to call my credit card company (first time ever to contest charges) and I had to cancel my card because they would NOT stop. I do not understand how they can legally do this. I reached out the Abeka many times with zero response yet they kept charging my card which was NEVER TO BE ON FILE. They are a very very corrupt company. We will not use them in the future and be warned. No one ever got back to me. They keep sending bills that I am definitely not responsible for. I have written emails and sent letters. NO RESPONSE. They are absolutely awful.

      Placed an order with Abeka and they still have no idea when it will ship or an estimated delivery. Talked to a customer rep yesterday who said the warehouse was backed up and she couldn't help me but I could still cancel if I wanted to. Less than 24 hours later, I spoke to another rep to cancel and they said that it was with the carrier and they couldn't cancel anymore but couldn't give me any shipment information. Their reply, sorry there is nothing we can do. I just want my money refunded that they took immediately from me, I didn't say there was a delay on my end to pay them. Poor customer service and unwilling to help out. They just push it aside and say we can't do anything. Will never order with Abeka again after being a customer for over 10 years.

      We purchased the Algebra 1 video kit. We are a week into our school year and still waiting on the pdf video supplement and textbook answer key. We were told both are not ready yet. The video teacher also references “quick” quizzes that are not in the Quiz/Test workbook, so we spent time feeling frustrated and lost. When we reached out to Abeka about these quizzes, they had no answer other than to rewatch the video and read through the Quiz/Test material more thoroughly, as if we missed something and should go on a quest for the answers we seek. Lol. We reluctantly did both and still could not find the answers to our questions. It was futile to continue corresponding, as it became clear their own reps were not familiar with the content. I had higher hopes for Abeka. In the end, at least in terms of this material, they have fallen woefully short.

      I called many times to ask how to do thier curriculum bc thier books are very hard to understand. I was just returning their info, and I got many answers, then they try and go into my account and tell me his homework had to be turned in throughout the year. Then, I call them with my usps.com confirmation and then they told me how they sent me all these emails on how I was supposed to turn in his homework and I Nvr got any emails about that, I could nt have turned in homework throughout the year...I would have Nvr paid over a thousand dollars to turn work throughout the year as a single working parent. They nvr told me over the phone I had to do that! Why would they not tell me and lie then try and just take my rent money!

      Zero! Awful experience with Abeka. We purchased 3 grade levels of curriculum - $4,000+. Once we received the books & realized the parent has more work than the children we decided this curriculum wasn't for us. I called immediately and sent the books back. We are 8 weeks into it and still no refund! They have also continued to send books to us. Their customer service is lacking. We never get any answers - they just keep sending us in circles and saying "I'm sorry", "I understand how frustrating it must be". If you purchase the curriculum make sure you'll use it or you may be out $4,000 like me.

      If you would have asked me last school year I would have given 5 stars. Purchased full first and second grade parent led curriculums on sale in April 2022 to use the next school year in the following august/sept. I was unable to homeschool due to unforeseen circumstances. I called abeka just to see if they could help with a return/refund. I spoke on the phone with a lovely woman and explained my situation. She told me she’d authorize a return and refund for me. This was in November, well past the return policy, so what a blessing! Or so I thought…. I got everything sent in on December 12th and was told it should arrive the following Monday. Unfortunately one of the five boxes I sent out was damaged and contents lost. Abeka is telling me they didn’t receive the items until January. They’re telling me they are not refunding me anything. They’re telling me they are not sending my items back. Abeka is telling me I have no proof I was told I’d get a refund, and that the rerun label abeka sent me in November is not proof. I’m still receiving emails that my cc will be charged as I bought them on a payment plan. I would have never sent anything in if I was told I wouldn’t get a refund. I would have taken my time selling my items online. So now I have nothing, I’m out around 2k and they’re still trying to charge me for items I don’t even have. They’re reciting their return policy to me as if I wasn’t granted this authorization outside of the policy. Why did they tell me I could return them for a refund and then act like they didn’t? I’ve been lied to, swindled, and stolen from. They’re thieves IMO. I’ve written the director, a suggestion from an abeka associate for one last effort and the director won’t respond to my emails.
