The Business Manager told us that our deductible portion of the dental implant procedure was only $247.97 which my wife paid before the implant. Later they sent me another bill for $316.59 more. So I called them and asked the Business Manager why? I told her I think she made a coding mistake or something because this was not what she told us earlier and we thought we had paid the full deductible. She was rude but I managed to get out of her that our insurance doesn't pay for a partial implant. She never explained that when we paid the deductible. So I called my insurance carrier, and they told me they must have coded incorrectly. So, I called back the extremely rude Business Manager and she told me that the $247.97 was only and estimate it turned out the fake removable tooth was $827.00. More than 300% more than quoted. Her estimate was definitely way off. So I wrote a letter of complaint. She never responded and ignored my email. I called her and tried to negotiate the cost. She yelled at me and said there is no negotiation. It is what it is. I wrote another letter. and sent a check for 1/2 the amount. She ignored me again. Now she sends me emails weekly and bills for the entire amount every month. No wonder they are not BBB Accredited. They are the worst Dental Program I have ever worked. They refused to negotiate even when you agree to pay 1/2 for their mistake. In summary, The practice either lies to you with the cost or just completely ignorant when dealing with Dental Insurance. If I had known, they would charge me another $316.59 dollars I would have gone to another Dental Clinic. I have government employee insurance GEHA which they knew we had before we went to them. At a minimum they should have called GEHA to give us a better estimate. Apparently, they are money hungry and suggest it should only cost $247. but the real cost is $827.00 for a tooth that looks like it came from a Halloween costume. Never again will I be swindled again.
