I wish I saw this BBB profile before purchasing my sofa set :( Me and my husband purchased our set back in November 2021, with delivery being after our wedding in February 2022. Long story short, I call kanes to have a technician come out and check the sofa for defects and the technician comes back on a different day to fill the back (attached) cushions with cotton??? I was NOT complaining about the cushions. I was trying to explain to reps over the phone that when you sit down, there are two different spots on the sofa where the WOODEN FRAME is poking out! I clearly explained to them multiple times it is a safety hazard!!! And I only noticed this when my father in law sat down and hurt his lower back. Then over time (within the year of purchase), it kept getting worse. What did the technician do? He came back to fill the back attached cushions with cotton?? As if that’s going to help the wooden frame at all, it would just TEMPORARILY mask the issue by making the cushions larger in an attempt to have others refrain from hitting that wood. Kanes is a joke, and their warranty is even worse. I have two little babies under 2, and I’m always so paranoid these kids will hurt themselves from the frame of this stupid sofa. But noooooo, they’re greedy and just enjoy keeping their pockets full.Kane's Furniture

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns regarding your furniture purchased with us in 2022.
At Kane's Furniture LLC, we stand by the quality of our products. Our warranty covers defects in workmanship under normal use and conditions for one year from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and for items delivered to the original delivery site.
As mentioned in your review, our service technician inspected the sofa and loveseat in March 2023 and confirmed that there were no structural defects. He did acknowledge that the filling in the back cushions and seat cushions were softening. Softening is a natural occurrence with regular use and is not considered a manufacturing defect. It is also common for areas of the furniture that are used more frequently such as favored sitting spots to show more wear and softening compared to less-used areas. As a one-time courtesy the technician re-stuffed the back cushions and Kanes Furniture LLC ordered 5 replacement seat cores (cushions) which were installed on August ******.
Unfortunately, the furniture is no longer covered under the manufacturers warranty. While the warranty period has expired, we remain committed to assisting our customers to the best of our ability. If you would like, we can provide you with contact information for third-party service providers who may be able to further assist you.

I bought a sofa and a loveseat from ******. After not even 2 months of use the seats started to sink and the wooden structure of the couch is literally poking my back every single time I sit on it. I called the customer service and they sent a technician. He said it was due to the design of the couch. I tried to show him how I sink in and lean on towards the middle of the couch because there is literally no support underneath the seat and not enough cushion to keep the seat stable, again he slaps me with it is the design of the couch. At this point I don't think they really understand that when customers purchase an item from them they expect it to be comfortable and not get spoiled within a couple of months. If the design is causing this to happen then it is a faulty design and the item should be replaced cuz I didn't pay 1200 dollars for a couch so it can give me backpain every single day. There is pilling on the fabric and they tell me it's normal and it is not covered by the warranty, what a joke! I literally had to convince the technician to put in an order for extra cushion so at least we could try to salvage what we already paid for. Two months later customer service calls me and tells me the sinking is due to usage! I didn't now I wasn't supposed to sit on the couch! What a joke, really! What kinda couch gets completely smashed in two months due to sitting on it as you re supposed to! They even told me they could refer an independent company to fix my furniture but that comes with extra charges. Why in the earth should I pay for something that is a design fault in the first place? The customer service representative told me that it could be a design that was discontinued maybe and that she can check it for me. Check and then what? Why would you be selling something discontinued to a customer and put it right in front of your store and showcase it then? I'm so angry because this is fraud. A furniture should be serving comfort, it is not negotiable.Kane's Furniture

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns regarding the softening of the seat cushions and the pilling of the fabric.
At Kane's Furniture LLC, we stand by the quality of our products. Our warranty covers defects in workmanship under normal use and conditions for one year from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and for items delivered to the original delivery site.
As mentioned in your review, our service technician inspected the sofa and chair and confirmed that there are no structural defects. The softening of the seat cushions is a natural occurrence that happens with regular use and is not considered a manufacturing defect. It is also common for areas of the furniture that are used more frequently such as favored sitting spots to show more wear and softening compared to less-used areas. If the softening continues or becomes more noticeable over time, please don't hesitate to contact us again. Wed be happy to arrange for a follow-up inspection.
Regarding the fabric pilling, its important to note that short fibers, such as those found in cotton, nylon, and polyester, are more susceptible to pilling. These materials have a greater number of fiber ends, which can tangle and form pills due to friction (such as from regular use). Pilling is a normal occurrence with such fabrics and is not considered a defect under the terms of our warranty. For more information on fabric pilling, we recommend watching this informative video by ********* *******************************************.
We truly value your business and are here to assist with any further questions or concerns. Please feel free to reach out at any time.

Kane's Furniture Store is the worst ever............I bought a Leather Sofa for $ 1700.- in December 2024.It was delivered late in January. In June the white Leather turned gray, really fast. I did call in, the Technician came and told me that's normal! I did contacted Kane's again, the always tell you you have to call the corporation, what I did, they same Inspector came again, in the mine time the Sofa made a noise every time I touch the bottoms to reclaim. Also the left side started to sink, he told me, there is not enough Foam. But they did nothing except told me they would replace the Leather on 1 side and I have to pay for it! In the mine time ,because the Lady from Synchrony Bank told me ,just to pay the minimum until the problem is corrected, nothing happen, another letter from the corporation, we are so sorry that you have that problem. In the mine time they charged me know Interest for the past year,$ 380.- on so that orful broken piece cost me know over $ 2000.- I will tell everybody, not to buy anything from Kane's, I also wright to Better Business Office and others how bad that Store is! I will also put it on Instagram and I have all the pictures. Shame on Kane's, to sell the lowest Quality on furniture, I could go to Ollies and get better stuff. I hope that Kane's will go ; Bankruptcy soon ,the faster the better !Kane's Furniture

We thank our customer for sharing their feedback and allowing us the opportunity to look into this further.
We understand how frustrating it can be to experience an issue. After carefully examining the damage claim, our assessment confirmed that the stain is a result of dye transfer. Dye transfer is when color from one fabric or material stains another, often due to contact with moisture or friction, resulting in discoloration. This is considered external damage and is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. In the effort to assist our customer at that time, replacement part pricing was provided, but our customer decided not to move forward with the purchase.
Several months later, when our customer reported that the seat felt uneven, a technician inspected the issue and confirmed that it was a result of normal wear. Understanding that the unevenness of the seat filling was causing discomfort, he offered to fill the seat and adjust the mechanism to improve comfort, but our customer declined the offer. It was confirmed that no defects were present, and the issues being experienced are not covered under warranty.
Our company is committed to delivering quality service, and we regret that we are unable to offer further assistance in this matter.

Thank you for sharing your feedback; we are truly sorry to hear about your experience with the glass top. We understand how upsetting it must have been to have the glass shatter unexpectedly. We sincerely apologize for the distress this incident caused.
While we strive to provide high-quality products, we want to address the issue of tempered glass and its potential for spontaneous breakage. Tempered glass, while designed for safety, can, in rare instances, shatter due to factors such as:
Nickel Sulfide Inclusions:Tiny imperfections in the glass that can cause it to break over time.
Thermal Stress: Rapid temperature changes or uneven heating.
Edge Damage: Even minor damage to the edges of the glass can weaken its integrity.
As you are aware, the purchase was made 15 months ago, which places it outside the warranty period, and the item is no longer available. To assist further, we recommend reaching out to a local glass company or exploring online options to find a suitable replacement top.We truly value the feedback and understand how frustrating this situation must be. While we cannot resolve this under warranty, we remain committed to ensuring your satisfaction and hope the suggested solution helps you find a suitable replacement.

I purchased a 3k leather couch 7 months ago. In addition I purchased the extended warranty. The leather is wearing away on 3 seat cushions already. I called Kanes they sent out a tech agreed it should not be wearing this quick but that it is not covered under the manufacturer or extended warranty. Way to go Kanes great furniture you sell.Kane's Furniture

Thank you for sharing your comments. Were sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position.
Kanes Furniture LLC warrants to the original purchaser, at the original delivery site, that the merchandise will be free from defects in workmanship under normal use and conditions for a period of one year from the date of delivery. After conducting an inspection of the sectional, we found significant damage to the leather seats caused by animal scratches. Unfortunately, this type of damage is not covered under the manufacturers warranty, nor is it included in the 'Limited Leather Protection Warranty' provided by UV3/Masterguard.As such, Kanes Furniture LLC is unable to offer a repair or replacement of the furniture, as the damage falls outside the scope of the warranty terms. We truly value your feedback and are here to assist with any further questions or concerns.

Yes I do have 2 dogs who jump on the couch. When I purchased the couch I specially discussed that I had 2 large dogs that would be on the couch. I was reassured by the sales person that this was durable leather and would not scratch easy but just in case I should purchase a warranty which I did. I am assuming by the outcome that the sales person lied to make a sale.Review fromAnthony J

We purchased the Jack Zeller sofa, loveseat and chair & 1/2 set for $2500 from the Kane's location in Brandon. The FIRST WEEK, the wooden armrest support in the sofa cracked as I was using it to for stabilization when I stood up. Then, all the furniture started doing it. Then, the sofa began to lose structural support in the center. Essentially, if someone sat in the middle, the two people on the end would lean/drift to the center because of that lack of support. Well I called Kane's "customer support" for resolution; long story short, the sent someone over to "evaluate and take photos. That person then went back and reported that he couldn't find any issues, even though he sat in it and slumped inward just like we did. We got a call saying corporate couldn't do anything because they spoke with Jack Zeller and was told, based on photos, the furniture was within manufactures" standards." Well, they must have some pretty LOW standards if this meets theirs. I can only hope that both Kane's and Jack Zeller are out of business by this time next year because ripping off customers is not a sustainable path for prolonged success. So, DO NOT BUY FROM KANE'S... THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THIER PRODUCTS & JACK ZELLER FURNITURE IS EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY!!!!!!

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concern regarding the softening of the seat cushions.
Kanes Furniture LLC warrants that, under normal use and conditions, the merchandise is free from defects in workmanship for one year from the date of delivery, provided it was purchased by the original purchaser at the original delivery site.
As noted, a service technician has inspected the sofa and confirmed that there are no defects or damage to the frame or springs. The softening of the seat cushions is a natural process that occurs with regular use and is not considered a manufacturing defect. It's also common for areas that are used more frequently, such as preferred sitting spots, to show more wear and softening compared to less-used areas.
If you find that the softening continues or becomes more pronounced over time, please dont hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to arrange for another inspection of your furniture.

We purchased 4600.00 worth of furniture December of 2024 from Port Charlotte Kanes. Delivery date was delayed and we had to pay 39.00 for them to drop furniture in our driveway and we had to carry it in and put it together. It would have been 200.00 for full service which I have never had to pay for furniture at any other store. Once furniture was inside we realized the power on our lazyboy headrest was not working so we had to call for service and were told 5 days until someone could come out to look at it. We proceeded to put the bed we ordered together and we removed the headboard out of the box and it was damaged. Another call to customer service and they added it to the technician visit scheduled for next week. Upon delivery we were given a bottle of furniture protector to APPLY OURSELVES. So the 79.00 furniture protection is not applied before delivery it is up to you to apply. I have always had my furniture delivered and set up at no extra charge with the protection applied beforehand. Overall a very poor experience and will not be shopping here again.

On January 12, 2024 I purchase a reclining leather sofa. With tax and delivery I paid $1132.98. There was a sale going on with a discount of $200 on the purchase. In September 2024, I noticed the seat on the area of the sofa that I normally sit on to watch TV (right side when looking at the sofa) was sinking in. You can actually feel the wood frame if you sit on the edge of the sofa.I contacted Kanes annd arranged for a technician to come out and look at the sofa. After the appointment was made, we had two hurricanes and there was a lot of delay in getting things done. I finally had the technician come out in November.Kanes called me later and told me that the sofa is sinking in because of normal wear and tear where I sit to watch TV. It is not covered under any warranty. I am not a large person and would certainly expect a sofa to last more than 7 months. Apparently, you arent allowed to have a favorite spot to sit to watch TV if you buy a sofa from Kanes!I dont buy a lot of new furniture so spending $1100 on a sofa was a big expense for me.Again, I would expect the sofa to hold up longer than seven months. I declined the extended warranty when I purchased the ****. The manager got irritated with me when I asked him if the furniture was not expected to last five years and that is why he was trying so hard to get me to buy the warranty? To say, Im disappointed in Kanes as an understatement. I will never buy another item from Kanes again. Worst customer service everKane's Furniture

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concern regarding the issue youve raised, and we apologize for any frustration this may have caused. As stated, a service technician inspected the power sofa, and it has been confirmed that the seat core is softening naturally with regular use. This softening is expected over time and is not considered a manufacturing defect. Its also common for frequently used areas, such as favorite sitting spots, to experience more wear and softening, which can make these areas more noticeable compared to less used areas.
We truly appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns.Virginia F
