**** from Sublime pools has been servicing my pool for 12+ months. I have been paying him to come weekly and often times he didn't show up weekly and stretch to every 2 weeks. The reason I know is I have timestamp cameras in my pool area. In addition **** was having issues trying to get my salt water levels correct and was successful and often times I had algae in my pool. **** claims he was unable to open my piping to my salt water cell and the only way to look at it would be to pay $150 to re-pipe. Desperate to try and get my pool in order I accepted the agreement at $150 but promptly after trying to do the job he told me he gave me the incorrect estimate so I had to pay $180 and his subcontractor did 1/2 job and he had to come back on more then one occasion to do complete the job. When the job was complete I paid **** $180 which was $30 more than what we agreed. But he promised to get salt in order. **** all of a sudden after taking my $180 abruptly stop coming to server my pool. While traveling for work I attempted to cal, text and email 30+ times but he ignored. My pool then went into a total algae state 100% green and unswimable. I checked with 4 other pool technicians and each one said they could open the pipe without repiping. It is obvious that **** requested a service with a promise $180 and after getting his money he quit coming. I am asking for $120 for shock treatment because my pool turned green plus $180 for a job that didn't need to be completed and **** did not deliver on his promise to fix the issue. Instead he took the money and didn't come back, a pure example of trying to steal money from a home owner. His behavior is 100% is unprofessional and should not be allowed to get away with his shameful actions.

      I stopped servicing pools because he was late on a payment. He owes me 135$ dollars. There was no way of removing his salt cell, so I recommended replum, so it was easier, which he paid two weeks late like he always does. I did nothing wrong; he kept harassing me and trying to bully me into giving him money. I will not get bullied by ************;

      Hello Brea L.,

Thank you so much for updating my case and supplying your email information. I was trying to update the case with documentation and was unable to. I am attaching documentation from my JPMC account showing proof that I have always paid **** from Sublime Pools each month. The month of **** was the only month that was late and you will see in the attached documentation it was paid on July 14, 2022 and the payment for July was made the next day. This will show that my payments were made even though **** didnt consistently send a bill.

I am also attaching a picture of my pool when **** just suddenly stopped coming and my pool wasnt serviced and it turned green. I attempted to call **** at a minimum of 5 times and multiple text messages during the time and he didnt respond at all even though I could see he read the text messages. Based on his lack of professionalism and not showing up I had to pay another pool specialist $120 to shock my pool and get it operational.

In regards to the re-pluming.  **** was hired to be my pool service professional and he stated with his wrench it was too small to unscrew the pipe. I offered to pay for a new wrench that was bigger and he said NO the only way to unscrew the pipe fitting was to re-plum the area and he gave me a quote for $150.00. I felt I had no other direction and told him to do the job if there was no other method and then he came back to me just a few days before the job was being done and said he made an incorrect quote he was wrong and he needed to charge an additional $30.00. The job was initially not completed and I said I wouldnt pay the bill until the job was completed. He had his sub-contractor come out and finished the job and I paid him the $180.00. Once I paid the $180.00 **** stopped coming to service my pool. As I was looking for a service replacement I interviewed 6 pool professionals and each one said a proper sized wrench that all pool supplies have would have been able to easily open the fitting and that it was completely unnecessary to charge $180.00. Not only did I did not need to have the re-plumbing completed, he charged me higher then the original quote and once he got his money he quit servicing my pool.

I think it is quite simple that I deserve a refund of $120.00 because of the shock treatment I had to get my pool in order and a refund on re-plum that didnt need to be done. **** simply without question took advantage of me as his customer. Can you please update the case with all of this information since I am unable to update? Thank you.

      Complaint: 18144039

I am rejecting this response because the business owner has consistently defiantly stated I didn't pay for his services and he quit servicing my pool and did not respond to any attempts to contact him. I have asked him to check his spotty accounting (he admitted in the past he isn't good in this area) now in the complaint it is documented the payments were sent to him from my bank account. He accepts the payments and just stops servicing and stops communicating and my pool turned green and unusable based on the business owner just stop servicing without any communication and refused accepting my phone calls or text messages. Why should I have to pay $120 to have my pool shocked based on his behavior. Now that there is documented proof of payment and we both agreed he stopped servicing now the business owner doesn't want to respond to the complaint.

If there is a meeting it is imperative that a member of the better business bureau arbitrates and documents the meeting.

The business owner needs to pay for the shock and job that was needed $120 + $180 so everyone can move on.

      Sincerely,

I would l like to reopen claim #******** and still requesting a refund the work that did not needed to be done. As mentioned in the original claim the owner ******************* didn't have the competency to do a simple job so he stated the only way to complete the job was a re-replum job that 6 other pools services companies said wasn't needed if the business had a proper set of tools and competency. Right after the work was completed and I paid for the service the owner quit servicing with no contact or response from several attempts to get in contact. This is a clear case of trying to "steal" money from a customer for his own benefit. ****'s complete utter falsifying the truth response " I stopped servicing pools because he was late on a payment. He owes me 135$ dollars. There was no way of removing his salt cell, so I recommended replum, so it was easier, which he paid two weeks late like he always does. I did nothing wrong; he kept harassing me and trying to bully me into giving him money. I will not get bullied by *******" - One it was shown to him my monthly payments were made and it was clearly **** not being able to track is own books if he looked in the bank just like I did he received a checks from Chase and he cashed them. Why did I pay 2 weeks late? because the job was not complete his person he hired out to had to come back and correctly finishing the job and I paid the amount stated at $135 which was more then the quote because **** made an incorrect job quote. Out of goodness of my heart I paid the extra money because he wasn't competent enough to even give a job quote. So just because **** responses with false information and trying to change history which is incorrect I need to this complaint re-opened or a new one filed. This is not bullying it is refund for the gross incompetence of the business owner.

      Hello BBB and ****,

If **** from Sublime Pools is serious about resolving the issue please pay $120.00 for the charge of shocking the pool and $150.00 for the ill advised re-plumbing. If **** from Sublime Pools pays the $270.00 in total I will resolve and close the claim.

      Sincerely,

      Complaint: 18144039

I am rejecting this response because:

**** you keep mentioning this debt that I owe you. Have you taken the time to be professional and look through the banking receipt of payments that I have sent you. I have taken the time and effort to show that my payments were up to date and paid and there is no balance that I owe you. Please do not insult anyone's intelligence the proof was asked for and I supplied it in this complaint.

Additionally, I have supplied the invoice for the shock treatment attached to the complaint. If you would for the complaint to be closed please pay me the $120.00 for the shock treatment and the $180.00 for the unneeded work that was performed that you promptly took my money and then disappeared.

You continue to make comments that are not factual true and demand proof. Each time you have demanded proof I have delivered the proof to you. I am not sure if you are not able to interpret the proof? You are not reading the proof but I have supplied you that you?

Regardless, If you pay me $120.00 and $180.00 for a total of $300.00 I will close the complaint otherwise the complaint will stay active on your records.
      Sincerely,
