Hurricane Ian * September 2022. Wright sent out adjusters who looked into my condo and said less than $6k damage. We had water damage. We were living in the condo and tried to push things to the side. We were then evicted by our HOA after they deemed the water damage to be far greater than anyone had realized. All condos were demo'd from 4' and below all around and we could not live in for 5 months. Everyone in our community received first round checks of $40 * 60K., except us. We got one for $4k. Then a secondary company came in * asked us to compile all of our damage, photos, new AC units, receipts, contractors. It took us over a year to repair and spent over $60k to put condo back together. Just received word this week that Wright will stand by original report and we get paid nothing. Did ***** part the sea at only our condo and somehow convince them that we are the only condo that did not get flooded and damaged in hurricane ***? This has been a complete nightmare that has financially DESTROYED me. THE ADJUSTERS REPORT IS INCORRECT * WE HAD WATER BEHIND CABINETS, BEHIND SHOWER WALLS, UNDER FLOORING. EVERYTHING HAD TO BE REMOVED. AC UNIT HAD TO BE REPLACED

Hurricane ****** hit our house (address ****************************************) on September 26th and we filed our insurance claim on the 27th (we tired to open a claim the 26th via phone call, but Wright turned their phones off and moved to only allowing text messages / electronic opening of claims). After we opened adjuster was supposed to contact us within 48 hours according to the automated text we got. No adjuster contacted us within 48 hours. It has since been 90+ days since we opened the claim which was the deadline we were told verbally we would get paid within at a Wright pop up booth where they were answering questions. We have received an advanced payment of $15,000, yet have not been able to cash the check since the mortgage company on the payment was wrong (even though we gave the pop up booth the correct information to update the mortgage company).

On September 27, 2024, Wright was notified of flooding at the insured property that
occurred on the same date. Wright assigned the claim to an independent adjusting company
which assigned a NFIP Authorized independent adjuster to inspect the property. After reviewing
the independent adjusters Preliminary Report, on October 13, 2024, Wright issued an advance
payment to the named insured and mortgagee as listed on the Declaration Page. On December
17, 2024, *** ****** called our office to advise the mortgage company on the advance payment
was incorrect. Wright advised *** ****** we would need the transfer letter confirming his
mortgage had moved from the mortgage currently listed on the policy to the new company in order
to update the information and reissue his check with a different mortgage listed. *** ******
provided the document that same day and we updated the information on his claim on December
18, 2024. After review of the independent adjusters final report, on December 30, 2024, Wright
issued payments to the named insured for covered flood damages under building coverage.

Flood claim waiting for our payment After 60 day's. They refused to expedite the payment as we went from Zero Credit card debt and 837 fico scores to over 50k Credit card debt and ***************** fico scores. We had to pay over 100k out of our pockets for repairs and can not afford to replace what little they will pay. As a retired Claims Supervisor for State Farm Insurance I am disabled now but very familiar with the process. Terrible **************** and Supervisor is a joke. Sitting here wondering how they sleep at night. Help.

Desired outcome: Insurance payout for flood damage occurring from Hurricane *************** home was flooded to a depth of about 30" on September 27, 2024. I have lived there since 1989. During those 35 years, I have always carried both Homeowners and Flood insurance. My most recent annual bill for both total was approximately $7,000. Prior to this flood, I have never made a claim. Immediately after this flooding, I took all possible actions to mitigate the damage. My provider Wright Flood assigned my claim # ********** to Colonial Claims. As I am 96 yrs old, I am most anxious to have my home restored for my return. To that end, family pressed forward with the required hiring of demolition contracting and rebuilding.I requested advance payment in the $50,000 range, which I was led to believe was fairly normal (to date, I have already spent over $50,000 of my life saving to press forward with the required work as capable people are in high demand). I was told by my adjuster that $22K was the most he would apply ****** the mean time, I have submitted photos of the damage, the tear out and the restoration steps taken along with the paid receipt's for each step along the way as I was instructed to do. To date, not only have I not been repaid for any of this, and have not received even $1 of the $22K that I was told was approved 4 weeks ago as an advance. I am therefore filing this claim against my insurance *** for being unresponsive as incoming bills keep coming in and my house must be restored. This is why I paid 35 years of insurance premiums.

I have filed a claim for Hurricane ****** back on 9/27 and my insurance company is refusing to contact their contracted adjusters to complete my claim. I was advised ***** days and Im going on 7 weeks. Ive contacted Wright to get the final estimation from Colonial Claims, and they refuse. I cannot live in my home and still paying a mortgage while my flood insurance company refuses to help me further. I want my claim finished so I can pay contractors to repair my damaged home.

We have had flood insurancce Policy # ************ 05 with this company for 10 years. I filed claim #***-0025350; an adjuster came & inspected the damage & a partial check was issued for flood damage from hurricane ****** made out in my husband's and my name. Unfortunately, my husband had passed away 2/16/2024. Since I had closed his bank account upon this death, the bank employee would not cash the check. I notified Wright of this & requested cancellation of this check & to issue a check made out in my name only & I sent his death certificate. I heard nothing back. My insurance agent also notified them. I called the next week & spoke to a young man *** *** who asked questions for & kept putting me on hold for 40 minutes saying he was conversing back and forth with his supervisor named **** for who refused to speak to me directly. He said she wanted to see the deed to my property which I presumed this was in a file cabinet that had been flooded. I sent them the property record at ********** Property Appraiser Records verifying my ownership. I then did find the deed that had been put up in a safe place, but now they will not take my calls so a replacement check is being held up. We have made flood payments to this company for 10 years and now they will not even take my calls. Your help would be extremely appreciated. I am aware of how busy they must be; but for whatever reason this **** person who claims to be a Supervisor, who would not speak to me directly and is holding up reissuing this check just to see our deed, after this policy having been in effect for 10 years is questionable.

Wright quoted me a flood policy of $729.85. When they debited my account they took $882.65. I immediately called my insurance broker and we canceled the policy. This occurred on September 18, 2024.

Just received a letter from my bank saying our flood ins was canceled as of July 16, 2024 I paid them to Sept 2 2024. We also received a letter from them saying our policy will be coming to an end on Sept 2, 2024 that we need to renew our policy soon. We told them ok. I shopped around and found someone else Im going to use who will combine homeowners and flood together for a discount so I had them get the ball rolling. What gives Wright to stop my policy now and now we have no coverage. I want them to send me a month and half back for stopping my policy as I have now called the other place to pick up asap. Who does that. This is unacceptable and they cant just do this to people. Please help

I purchased a flood insurance for $979 from Wright National Insurance through their agency JVS insurance located in *****. I asked agency to cancel my policy on 21 march 2024 and provided all necessary documents including declaration page of my new purchased policy that clearly states effective day 21 March 2024. JVS agent confirmed the request and she sent to the carrier (wright National Insurance it's been more than 2 months I have not received my refund check. When I asked the status the JVS agent told me that carrier denied sending a refund check as per a attached letter. Please see reason below (X ) The duplicate policy has a later effective date than this policy. As such, it is considered the deliberate creation of a duplicate policy. Therefore, the policy with the later effective date must be canceled.I do appreciate your kind assistance getting my refund check
