On December 31st, 2024 I had this company come out to repair a gas leak in my laundry room. They determined I needed a new valve and were ordering one. It was supposed to be in within 3-5 days. They have ghosted us.We keep being told they are waiting for the part.On January 15th, I had my gas company come out to fix it. They advised the valve was readily available at any ********** or Lowes. They even had one with them when they arrived, however they advised us at that time that there is nothing wrong with the valve. and I have no gas leak. When we called to discuss it the lack of communication with us, they advised "we have too many customers to be calling you back".They keep saying they are sending a check back for my deposit of $250, but with the lack of customer service from this company, I'm not watching my mailbox.I feel this is a scam.Customer response

On 11/5/24, after speaking with **** regarding a malfunctioning icemaker dispenser door, a technician came out and determined that the dispenser panel was working properly and that he would tighten the inner door, so that the ice cubes would not pop out several minutes after the dispenser was used. I paid $235.00 by check as in order to use a credit card, there would be a surcharge. Big mistake on my part. I have now spoken with **** on 11/27/24, 12/4/24 and 12/10/24 to advise that the ice was still coming out of the dispenser after the glass was filled, so the inner door was not fixed. Each time I was told he would speak to a technician and either called me back or have the technician call me. Nobody has returned my call.Out of disgust, I called another company, who sent a technician out on 12/10/24 as I knew Volt was not going to call me back and still has not. After Company #2 diagnosed the problem, I was charged $174.07. This company also applied a service fee to use a charge card, but I accepted that as I have no recourse with Volt because I didn't use a credit card. I am appalled that I have now paid $409.07 to have this door repaired, and after 3 calls to Volt, I never received a call back.Initial Complaint

On Monday October 14, 2024 an employee of Volt Appliance Repair came to the house to repair a leak in my Bosch dishwasher. The person did not speak english but somehow he understood the problem. He pulled out the dishwasher, tipped it on its side and mopped up the water in the dishwasher pan. He then proceeded to reinstall the dishwasher and run a wash program. He then started to write up an invoice as he was satisfied that the machine was working properly. However before signing the invoice I requested that he wait to see if the problem reoccurs and it did. So he then pulled out the dishwasher, tipped it on its side and again mopped up the water in the dishwasher pan. On our suggestion that maybe there is a hose leaking he searched the internet and found one, don't quite know how he knew that it was that specific one as his knowledge of Bosch dishwashers was very rudimentary, and he told us that the hose is in *************** and he can come to fix it the next day but I have to give him a $100 deposit, plus $3.00 for credit card payment A few hours later he texted saying :"your spare part is only in ************. I am in *************** now. I am ordering it now, and it will arrive only tomorrow in ***************. And I will need to go and pick it up. That is, to you. I can only arrive in 2 days. If you agree, confirm that you agree, I will order. If not, then I will simply return all your money and that's it."Our reply was : Do not order - we do not agree and please return deposit . He replied ***** this day we have not been refunded the $103 and the company is not responding. The credit card company is now involved and still **** does not respond to them.Customer response

I am in *************** now, i am ordering it now and it will arrive only tomorrow in ****************
And I will need to go and pick it up. That is, to you I can only arrive in 2 days.

On October 2, 2024 I had volt appliance repair scheduled to come and look at my broken refrigerator. The man who showed up was incredibly rude. He did a 10 second diagnosis said he doesnt fix icemakers which was one red flag. He told me to be quiet and stop talking. He stuck his head in the refrigerator for a few seconds only to come up with a $451 estimate to repair it, he gave me no receipt for my $72 service charge. He called back half an hour after he left and said he would take $100 off if I paid him in cash and he also said he could come back at 8 oclock at night to fix it so many red flags this company has no legitimate address that I can find and they were extremely shady. The man made me incredibly uncomfortable. Im asking for my $72 service charge back . No receipt for service chargeInitial Complaint

We actually called and made a service call. We explained to dispatch as well as the technician that the freezer worked fine on the bottom half. The concern was the top two racks the upper seemed to not be cooling. The freezer had all kinds of frozen fish, chicken, and vegetables. The tech came out and said he could have fixed shortly told us the heater coil would be $300 and his labor would be $200. The actual part was under $60 so I just asked what would be the charge to install. We got one or two calls trying to take ***** bucks off we rejected. When we came in from dinner that night we went to the pool and the stench and flies on the porch was all over. My entire freezer groceries had to be thrown out about $400 in groceries I called sent photos and ask them what happened. They answered got the photos and then begin to ignore my calls. Please don't bring these people into your home real scavengers.Initial Complaint

Hello! Upon your request to our company regarding the repair of your appliances, you were given an estimate for repairing a refrigerator in the amount of $553 and repairing a microwave in the amount of $378. As we received the parts from the factory, we called you and scheduled the installation of the parts for October 5, 2023. Technician in this day fixed both appliances for you. 11 days later, after the repair, instead of calling our companys office, you personally sent an SMS message to the technician, where you said that you had a problem with the refrigerator, indicating another problem icing up in the refrigerator section and it has a 0 FF". Also, you did not indicate that you are already a customer of ours in your message to the technician and not indicated the order number, so he thought that you were a new customer and said that the diagnosis would be for $80. This is exactly what you wrote in your review. It is not surprising that he answered this way, since you did not initially inform that you are already our client and are contacting us about a refrigerator that we previously repaired. And in fact, when he found out about this, he did not charge you for his recall visit the cost of the diagnosis. It is not clear why you are writing about this, because you did not pay for any re-diagnosis. The technician came to your place and found that your refrigerator was in working order and there were no problems after our repair. Its just that one of the people who uses this refrigerator pressed buttons in the menu on the display and turned on the "service mode". Therefore, your refrigerator has switched to this mode, which does not involve cooling. Typically, in this mode, refrigerators are in stores for display. Despite the fact that calling the technician again was your fault, we did not charge you for the wasted time of the technician, who came to turn off the "service mode" on the refrigerator that you turned on. And of course, the technician warned you that if you call him again due to your fault, and not due to a real breakdown after our repair, then you will need to pay for the service call, since the technician cannot come for free and switch the operating modes of the refrigerator that you have turned on. A 90-day warranty means that you contact us if the appliance has the same problems that we fixed and for which we charged money. Additionally, we would like to inform you that during all this time after the repair until today, you have never called our office and reported your problem, although you have our office phone number on your invoice. Instead, you sent an SMS to the technician directly and the last time you messaged him was in October 2023 when you accidentally switched your refrigerator to a different mode. After this visit, you also addressed your problem neither to the office nor to the technician directly. And we first learned about your problem from your appeal to the BBB. We also do not understand the dispute amount you announced, $1400, considering that you paid us $931 for the repair of two appliances. And the amount you stated does not correspond to what you paid. In addition, these appliances were completely repaired by us, they were in working order for the entire warranty period stated by us. Accordingly, there is no reason for a refund here. From your message to the BBB, we learned that you again have a problem with your appliances. Presumably, judging by the date of your request, they worked for you without complaints for 8 months after our repair. You may now have a new problem. You can contact us at the number indicated on the invoice, and we can repair them for you again, but this, of course, will be a new job with a new estimate, since the previous work performed was provided in full and the warranty period for our work has expired 5 months ago.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The repair that was done by the technician was incorrect, the whole back panel needed to be replaced because ******* had found that the panel did not allow for drainage, therefore the fan once again blew producing, the icing up of the back panel once again and now the refrigerator does not work and the microwave is not working either, which indicates to me that the Technician was not qualified to do the work. After reading various review on this company this type of error to say the least is a common practice and later as in this instance the customer is at fault. If I do not receive satisfaction I will file a formal complaint with the department of financial service which will lead to an investigation of the company, the services and, there technicians.
Sincerely,

Hello! The service was on Dec 28th last year, then there was a recall on Jan 12th and tech asked to make a refund of $300 back to clients card. It was confirmed with client. The refund was processed on Jan 28th by bank. Unfortunately, we cannot influence the duration of the refund processing period by the bank, so the process of receiving money back to the card takes a long time. You supposed to receive it. Please, contact your bank. Thank you.Initial Complaint

Hello. We are very sorry that you were dissatisfied with our service. We have found out all the details regarding your order and are ready to write everything in detail. On November 16th technician arrived to order and, during the diagnostic process, found the cause of the breakdown of your appliance and immediately fixed it, since the repair did not require installing any parts. Therefore, it turned out that he could not first tell you the price and then just fix it, since he fixed it during the diagnostic process. At the same time, you had the right to tell him that you were not satisfied with the price and not to pay it, since the repairs were not agreed upon with you. If you wish, the technician could return the appliance to its original non-working state, and give you the diagnostic result and also tell you the price of repairing the appliance and accept payment from you only for the diagnostic in the amount of $69. But, since you had no questions or complaints about the cost of the work. And you paid and accordingly agreed with the price he announced. The technician, at the quoted cost of $220, in addition to the work performed to repair your appliance, also cleaned your appliance. In fact, you received a working appliance + the technician also cleaned it for you. Since you had bugs in your appliance, the technician wrote to you that he recommends getting rid of the bugs(insects) and changing the control board. This is a recommendation. The reason for this recommendation is that as a result of the presence of bugs in the appliance, problems with the control board may appear in the future. This may not happen for you now, or it may never happen. Or it might happen the next day. And while there are bugs inside your appliance, no one can know when this problem will happen. Actually, this is what the technicians recommendations are related to. Nobody sent you an invoice to replace the control board and you didnt pay anything for it. And this information about our specialists recommendations was provided to you on the invoice with your signature at the time of your payment. You were given all the information at once. Its very strange that you didnt even mention your dissatisfaction with the price of the repair on site at the time of payment. Also, you didn't even call our office to let us know about your complaints. We could have listened to you and came to a better decision. But, you immediately filed your complaint with the BBB without even telling us about your dissatisfaction with our service. It was only from your message here that we first learned from you that you didnt like something. In fact, we fixed your faulty appliance, did the cleaning, and you paid only $220 for it. Why the technician could not immediately tell you the cost of the work and repaired it first - we answered you, since the repair occurred during the diagnostic process. This happens in some situations. But if you werent happy with this at that moment, then why did you pay then and didnt notify us that you didn't want to pay to the technician? In any case, every client is important to us and we try to ensure that everyone is satisfied with our service. Tell us what you think is a fair price for the work that ************** performed and we will make you a refund for the difference in this amount. Despite the fact that the current cost is already low for the work performed. If you think that it's fair for you to pay only the cost of the diagnostic, then we will make a refund minus $69 for the diagnostic.Initial Complaint

On August 15th Technician came to repair our Samsung Flex washing machine which is only four years old. Charged us $200 deposit for the part. After three weeks I called them. Technician came on September 13th to repair. Took machine apart, left it in pieces and said he would return on the 14th. He did not return until the 15th. At that time he allegedly repaired the machine, put it back together and said it was all fixed and charged us $198. He left and the issue was never fixed. The top washing machine does not unlock. Same issue that was supposed to be fixed. We have been deceived and have been charged a total of $398 for a service that was not adequately performed. The issue was never fixed. When I called the company, the same guy who always answers the phone said he would look into it and call me back. Of course, I never received a call back. Dishonest, unprofessional, criminal behavior. Took our money and did not resolve our issue. The technician does not know what he is doing and is a liar. Took my washing machine apart and left it in pieces for three days. Returned and said the issue was fixed which it was not. The owner is equally dishonest. Says he will look into it and call you back, which he doesn't.Business response

You initially contacted us with the problem that you had error code **** and the door did not open. Since this error is related to the lock and door, the technician has changed your parts related to solving this problem. After the repair was completed, it turned out that there are other problems with your appliance in addition to the problem that the error tells us about. During the first diagnostic, it was not possible to see other problems, since your appliance did not actually turn on. It showed an error and did not take further actions. Accordingly, it was not possible to see all the problems that your appliance had during the first diagnostic. After solving the initial problem, the technician suggested to do further diagnostics to identify further faults that your appliance still has, but before solving the main problem it was not possible to identify them, to which you replied that you would not pay for any further repairs. Accordingly, technician was not able to fix the following identified problems. We are very sorry that this happened and that you had a bad impression of our service. And we are ready to make a full refund with the entire amount paid by you $398.61Customer response
