Today I am trying to make my monthly payment and the Gulf Coast Collections representative refused to accept it! I hung up on the call and made racist comments about my country of origin! I made the call at 8:02 am. She was very rude and is not trained to do customer service work!

I repeatedly receive robo voicemails from Gulf Coast Collections. They do not state an account number or what business they provide ***********************. I have tried to call them at the number left in the message and am either told they cannot find any records for me or no one answers. I request that all calls cease immediately and an ITEMIZED bill with complete service dates, etc., be provided via mail. Do not call or leave voicemails on my phone. Gulf Coast has also been part of a data breach which I feel is behind these calls.

I received a phone call this afternoon regarding a delinquent payment a test that I supposedly had in "JANUARY 12TH L, 2021".I inquired who is the the agency who did this so called test and the Dr name who ordered this test. They could not provide this information. That included a supervisor name ****. I told him this complaint has no merit and I found this inquiry by Gulf Coast very ridiculous as they where not prepared and their response for not having this information prior to calling me was very unprofessional. I told ********** was filing this complaint and it didn't seem to bother him. Any assistance BBB can provide will be greatly appreciated. *************************.

Furthermore, I have never been told by any company or agency that any of my debts that I am currently paying were being submitted to collection agencies, I will not be opening any links that look suspicious such as this one.

I received a phone call from GCCB that informed me it was an attempt to collect a debt, but my name was not mentioned nor any details of what the debt entailed, so I assumed they had the wrong number. A few days ago I got a text message again that I had supposedly consented to communications in this manner; however, I have not had any contact with GCCB before this, other than the ignored phone call mentioned above. The text included a link that I was supposed to provide my zip code to unlock and see debt collection details. I found this very suspicious and decided to contact the company directly through the website they have online and I told them I was not at all convinced that the call I was getting wasn't a scam. That I do not answer unknown numbers and I do not click links in text messages that I do not recognize the number of. I also said If I was the person they needed to get in touch with that I would want a written copy of the information sent to my address because I was unaware of any unpaid medical bills. I even went back after sending said message and checked to see if I could possibly have missed any bills from a surgery and labor and delivery I had last year. The information I had indicated that everything had been paid. I then got an email today from GCCB asking me to confirm the address on file. They didn't provide the address. I am disinclined to engage in further communication with this company. If they needed my zipcode to unlock a link they should have my address and I should not need to confirm it. At the very least, they should tell me the information they have on file. They have not provided any written instructions up to this point and never even mentioned me by name before this. My credit report shows no medical bills unpaid, and I can't find out what they are trying to get me to pay for without revealing personal information. It all seems very much like a scam to me and based on previous reviews I've seen their practices seem very shady.

I have several outstanding balances to pay off. When I went on the website to have them resolved, I was offered a repayment schedule for once a month payments. I have now been charged these payments on October 1st, November 5th, and today, November 27th causing me to over draft my account. I am beyond frustrated.

They've been contacting me for three years about a debt they've been unable to verify. The debt they're attempting to collect on has been paid directly to the hospital by my insurance company. It had initially been delayed thanks to awkward timing in billing cycles, so the hospital sent it to collections three days before the insurance company paid the debt. Despite telling a representative two years ago that the debt they were collecting on had been paid, they continue to call. I was told I would be removed from their list. I would like the company to stop contacting me for a debt that no longer exists.

I first received a call on October 23 and did not pick up because it wasn't a number I knew and thought it was a potential scam; they only left a voicemail saying to contact them back at a number. Then I received a message from a different number notifying that they were a debt collector and sent a number to call them back and a website. I still thought that it was a scam because I did not receive any mail or email notifying me that I owed money and I knew that all my bills were paid; I made no connection that these were potentially the same company. I then got a call back on November 1 from the same number with the same voicemail, but I also didn't pick up because I thought it was a scam; I didn't realize it was the same number. On November 10, I again got a call and I realized that there was a connection between the previous calls and message. I did some research and found that they were a debt collection agency and also read some of the BBB complaints. My question is why did they not send a formal document or bill listing out the charges and reasons for charge first rather than calling first and leaving a voicemail with no description of who the call was for and why. It makes them look like scammers and I still don't believe they aren't. If there is some debt owed please contact me via mail or email first before calling. I will not be taking calls from the same number until then.
