            The office employee scratched my prescription glasses and they refuse to buy me a new lens. They told me I can purchase a brand new pair of glasses and they will discount me. I shouldnt have to pay anything for their mistake. There is no reason that they cannot **************. They also charge 3.5% customer service fee. **************** is free so Im not sure what this charge is for but medical offices shouldnt be charging additional fees for medically necessary treatment.

            *************** to a complaint by patient ********************* file 63296432DC2D8. We understand  our patients complaint, our Optical Technician did notice the condition of her lenses when adjusting her glasses, the coatings are pealing from age and wear, she was also advised that she was not seeing as well as she should out of the lenses due to there condition. Also our Optical Technician did address the condition when we returned the glasses to the patient, the eyeglasses were not purchased from our office, any scratches on her lenses were already there, she did not say anything about a scratch until she was home and then called our office. Please advise patient we are willing to provide her with new lenses and/or frames at a 50% discount.  She is welcomed to come in anytime to use this offer.

            Better Business Bureau:

            I will accept a new lens at the 50% discount. This is not what they advised on the phone-before they would only sell me a new pair of glasses.  I was never told I was not seeing well due to the condition of the glasses.  **************** specifically stated I did not need new prescription glasses because the prescription had not significantly changed but he did think the technician could tighten up the frames which is when the lens got scratched. There would have been no way for me to complete the eye exam efficiently if the scratch had been there prior to my appointment.
