1 starInstalled a great pool. During this install, they damaged my home, lost the skimmer, paver stones not put in the ground properly. 3 months after install, permit is still open, nothing has been fixed. Punch list as long as my arm. Many emails and on my call record...31 phone calls. Nobody ever answers the phone. Just met with a construction lawyer in sarasota to take legal action. Will keep this updated.

5 starsJust as Promised! Our pool was just recently finished in May. Construction began in February, I asked what was a realistic time frame for completion. I was told 10-12 weeks and our pool was completely finished in 11 weeks and 6 days. The communication from Miranda was impeccable. Everything was done as promised and we LOVE OUR NEW POOL!

2 starsWe went into contract with this company January 2023. Through the entire process with zero communication from our project manager whom never set foot on our property. Was given a timeline of mid August to no later than September. Due to construction of a waterfall not passing inspection. The owner came out and apologized for the delay but will get it taken care of. Unexpected issues I can understand does happen. During the process the contractors recklessly ran over all sprinklers that were all marked as requested. Then broke pipes and never mentioned anything. Once the yard was clear to safely go out back, it was discovered they broke the pipes and taped them together with the water continuously running. All my trees died which were huge palms including my front yard. Now we finally get water with a follow up of final grade. They come out to install water bowl feature and realize it is incomplete. And walk away. I send an email to project manager and owner and no response. I contact my salesperson ( she was amazing)of the issues. I finally get the project manager on the phone and she tells me she has been promoted and someone else is handling my account. I was speechless. I explained to her we have been diligent on all payments and expect communication on status and concerns. She reply she will call me back in 2 hours and it is almost 2 months. She watch me call and no one in the company will respond except my salesperson. The owner will not answer emails or phone calls. My current status of unresolved grouting, waterfall issues, screen and still no water bowls installed. However Paige and husband was a delight to work with. Project mgr Jessica never communicated anything or set foot on the property and all paperwork was passed to Miranda who refuses to respond to emails. The owner has yet to respond or follow up on status of a full paid account but incomplete job.Review fromVictoria S

1 starOur pool took a year and a half to complete. Horrible customer service! You need to go in person to office in Sarasota to get anything accomplished. The actual workmanship by the crews that did work was great except they didnt read work orders very well. Put two doors in cage instead of one did not put handrail or autofill in during construction had to fight for months to have those installed. Brand new equipment had to be replaced more than once. Heater had to be replaced salt converter replaced twice three was a charm! Never returned phone calls cant get a hold of anyone unless you go in person to office. No excuse for lousy customer service. Lots of family members working in office who could care less about customers. Told me they dont care they have too many customers anyway! Jim (owner of holiday and numerous other businesses) tries to control all scheduling himself. Obviously he cant handle it. Needs to learn to delegate tasks to other capable parties. All workers told us they are aware of how awful customer service is. They never know their work orders till next morning. Even after talking to owner about issues and was told all lack of workers and supply chain was all back to normal we still did not get autofill installed and working till almost two years in. I suggest going elsewhere.Review fromBrittany M

1 starWe contracted with this rotten company and were told that it would take 6-9 months to build our pool. They were extremely difficult to get a hold of and almost never call you back. After 8 months of them doing absolutely nothing we demanded our money back and, true to their shady business practices, they refused. They didn't do what they said they would do (build ** a pool) and all we want is our money back. That seems pretty reasonable to me.Review fromStephanie M

1 starBUYER BEWARE!!! Stay away, stay far, far away from Holiday Pools of West Florida. Working with this company has been THE WORST experience. Their communication is horrid. Our permit expired before they started the pool. The pool build did not start until 10 months into signing a contract with them. We are currently 15 months in and still no finished pool. I could go on and on....I wish I researched this company more before signing a contract with them. They have an F rating on the Better Business Bureau and now I see why.Full of excuses and deflecting every time we reached out to our sales rep. *** when we tried to call any contact (construction, owner, admins, front desk) you can't get through to speak with anyone and no one returns calls or emails. Basically, their communication is terrible at best. Nobody seems to take pride in their job and you can tell that employees are not communicating. Also beware, there is no timeline or dates on their contract, so you have nothing holding them to dates. Something I realized far too late.*Also check out the ********* (5/16/2023) about a family in *********** that has waited 2 years, and their pool is still not finished. This is with Grant *********************** which is owned by Holiday Pools.Review fromBrent T

1 starIn October of 2021 we signed a $58,000 contract for a pool and cage with Grant *********************** a dba of Holiday Pools of West Florida. We were told by ************************** it would take 5 months to start and then 4 more months to finish. We expecting a completed pool by the following summer. 1.) They didn't even pull the permit until 6 months later. (April of 2022) 2,) They didn't start the work until 6 months after that. (October of 2022) 3.) It is now 7 month after they started. We have paid them around $47,000 and our pool still does not have have a cage, electrical, pool equipment or the pebble pool finish. I was told they must do the cage next and could not give me a date for that as "They are delayed because their employees moved on to greener pastures". So I asked, "Can't you at least work on the electrical and pool equipment while waiting for the cage?" I was told I would need to pay them another $10,000 for that to happen. So they are expecting me to pay in full (other than $500.00) and my pool is only half done. I said can't you take money I have already given you for things you haven't completed and put that towards the equipment and they said "No. That is not the contract you signed". People working and Grant ******************** are rude to work with for the most part. Especially *****! They always try and talk over you and have an explanation for everything other than when my pool is going to be complete.Review fromMIke G

1 star1 out of 5 stars – If I could give a lower rating, I would. I'm extremely disappointed with Holiday Pools and would not recommend them to anyone. I entered into a contract with them almost a year ago for a pool and lanai project, but as of 04/06/2023, it remains incomplete with no projected completion date. Their communication is abysmal, their workmanship is subpar, and they've breached our contract. They promised to finish by the end of 2022, but it's April 2023 and the project is still nowhere near completion. Construction began in June 2022, but only after a three-month delay due to permit issues. In July 2022, we removed irrigation at their request, only to face another three-month delay when they informed us that materials were ordered but wouldn't be delivered for some time. When I asked for a timeline, their construction manager provided a diagram of the construction stages without any deadlines. Holiday Pools consistently made excuses and delayed the project, leaving the site unattended for months. Coping materials had to be reordered three times due to subcontractors' incompetence. The subcontractors repeatedly botched the coping tiles, leaving missing and chipped pieces after three failed attempts. The lanai and travertine tile installation are even worse, with large gaps, jagged edges, and unstable tiles that shift when stepped on. I've tried countless times to communicate with Holiday Pools, their construction manager Jessica, and owner Jim, but they've ignored my calls, emails, and texts, even when I provided photos of their shoddy work. Jessica, the offsite construction manager, has been unhelpful in keeping us informed, blameshift. When I tried to discuss the tile issues, I was told I couldn't speak to anyone at the company and had to wait for a travertine company representative to explain. In conclusion, Holiday Pools has been nothing but a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and find a different contractor for your pool and lanai projects.
