A-1 Affordable Painting Inc. states on their business card that they are fully insured. When I asked for a copy of the insurance *********************** the owner stated he does not have insurance. I advised him that his business card states otherwise. On April 11, 2023; I hired A-1 Affordable Painting to paint/epoxy my garage floor. It was not cleaned or prepped. Thus, the next day the dirty tire marks came through the finish and were visible. I asked for his insurance, and he said I have none. ***** said he will not give me my money back. ***** stated my only option is to let him recoat it. ***** did not remove the initial material/coat. ***** recoated the floor and I did not park directly on the floor for over five weeks. The product is supposed to be dry for a car three days after application. I did not put my car tires directly on the floor for five weeks. When I parked my car on the floor for one night, it left black tire marks and indentations from the tire tread in the floor. Now I have a garage floor with indentations and the floor has not cured in over five weeks (May 30, 2023).After speaking with ********* in ********, *******, the *********** to be ground with a grinder and remove all of his product. Not sure how he can do a job like this and feel it is ok to not refund my money. Give up your insurance information or are you false advertising on your business card which is attached. Now it will cost more to get his product removed to bare concrete and start the process with a legitimate company.

Business response taken verbally by BBB:

I have gone out there and re-painted the floor

I am rejecting this response because:

he does not have proper equipment or skills. Look at tire marks on floor after six weeks of not parking directly on floor. This is from the redo job.

Floor should cure in three days not months. Still cannot park directly on floor.

I have to park on wood or styrofoam boards. My tires sink into floor look at photo.

***** can ask marbelite: floor has to be ground to bare concrete and redone the correct way. ***************** at marbelite and refund my money.

Now it is costing me more to remove his two layers.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************
