8/26/2022 Almost a month ago I hired ATAK group to install a new Cordell door. Over the phone I was told a price but when I was at the parts store, the ATAK owner jacked up the price. I had to bargain with him before I bought the door. Then while the door was being installed, he complained about the work he had to do and the extra unexpected things he did to make the door fit properly. He whined so much that I said I would cover the supposed $50 dollars more he was spending. At the end I ended up paying ATAK group $100.00 more than what the original price I was told over the phone. This is the first issue. The second issue is that the door is leaking whenever it rains. Period. As I type this review I know water is steaming down the inside of the door in my hallway and this is why I have plastic spread out on the floor. Before the door was installed I told ATAK there was a outside leak between the carport roof and the house roof in the seam that is over the door. There was NEVER a leak in the hall. Atak was to fix the leak after they did the door. Well, they came and wanted $1,000. to do the whole carport, seam. I said no to this and said I would consent to half the seam being done even though I just wanted over the door where the leak was. Atak said they would come out again to see carport seam and never showed up since 3 weeks ago. I contacted the Cordell door company and spoke to the president and he said the door should not be leaking if the putty/caulk was put in right under the door frame. I may have to take the top of the door frame off to see if the putty was put in there. I told him about the leak also. So thanks to ATAK, I have to get someone to still fix the carport leak but now I may have to partially take down the door ATAK put up to see if it was done properly. Advice to everybody, when you read BBB complaints on companies, pay attention and don't deal with them because I read the complaints on ATAK and still called them.
