I signed up for crunch fitness on line they had a grand opening and was called and told to come in and get a feee session then go over personal training sessions with you , I explained to the trainer that Im not sure if I want to sign up put down for a month from now and dont use my bank account I will pay in cash , well I decided to cancel my membership with crunch fitness and they still charged me for personal training sessions , and Im no longer a member havent been for about a month , spoke with management and he told me the personal training is different **** if thats the case I never gave personal training **** my debit card and they charged my card so there seems to be seem some type of fraud , and this complaint is for the **************** location that has not been listed yet , I would like a refund for a service that I never used and never gave you my debit card to make such charge when Im no longer a member also it would be courteous if you let your front desk know that when someone is canceling there membership they should be aware they cancel Personal training sessions also , since you guys are claiming its a different entity from your gym , if your not a member at this gym you cant get in to take personal sessions , so this makes no sense and needs to be investigatedCustomer Answer

Spoke with ***** said he is the manager for personal training, called me and told me. Will not be refunded after going into bank account illegally with out permission, also called the location on ****** spoke with **** who basically told me to shut up and disc the call and told me they have no managers over them to help and there Coporate offices does not take any calls , so the only way you can get assistance is by writing a letter and there is no way to get in contact with a manger that can assist

Attempted to cancel my membership multiple times. Ive been told by multiple employees at the establishment that it has been canceled. Each month I have been getting charged again after again. Ive been told to pay one more month and itll be cancelled. I paid and the charges are still coming out. The manager told me that there was no documentation and that Im basically SOL and have to give them more money and start all over again. Everytime I talk to a new employee it is something different.Initial Complaint

January 24, 2025 is the date on the letter from a debt collector trying to collect a debt from CRUNCH - BLACK EAGLE. I have contacted the debt collector and was told that this action is from 10 years ago. I was never an active member of this gym and never signed a contract. If I did signed a contract for a monthly payment to a gym membership then I would presented a card with the means of the payment being taking out monthly. This is the first time I have been notified of this. Never been sent of anything in the mail over the 10 years stating that they were trying to collect and their has been nothing on my credit report about a debt collection. Unfortunately after 10 years I have is no documentation with crunch fitness. If documentation is shown to me that I did sign up for a membership then I would be more than willing to pay but you would think that after 10 years the amount owed would be higher.Initial Complaint

I hope youre well. My name is ***** ********** and I am reaching out to bring an urgent matter to your attention regarding $3,360 in charges I was misled into at a ************** location.Since joining before the gym opened, Ive consistently declined training packages, explaining that it wasnt the right time due to a recent move from ***. Despite my hesitation, I was pressured to complete a form, which the *** (*****) said would be left blank and require my authorization before any charges could be processed. However, I was never given a copy of the contract, nor did I authorize the charges.Ive spoken with multiple staff members, including the personal training coach, who agreed with me on the situation, but Ive been met with conflicting messages and no clear escalation path beyond the general manager and ***. Ive attached evidence, including misleading and incomplete screenshots from the gym, which reflect unethical practices that have left me feeling scammed and gaslit.I would truly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly over the phone or via Zoom to resolve this matter. As Ive just relocated to ******* and am currently searching for a job, this unexpected charge has placed a significant financial strain on me. Your assistance in addressing this would mean a great deal.Thank you, and I look forward to your ************* regards,***** ********** *************Initial Complaint

I started a membership & personal training w/Crunch in June 2024. On 6/29 I spoke w/my trainer ******* & explained to her that I would have to hold my membership as I was under my doctors care & was not sure when I would be able to return. ******* stated that I needed a doctors note, the beginning of July (after my doctors appt) I sent ******* 2 letters- 1 from my surgeon & 1 from my primary doctor. At that time ******* text me to let me know that they would be suspending both my account for 6 months along w/my gym membership. A few days later I got charged $212.00, for my training & when I spoke w/******* again she stated that it would take 10 days to take affect (this was NEVER) mention to me at the time. Oct 11th I was charged another $212.00 & when I called & spoke to someone I was told that a mgr or supervisor would call me, no one did. In the meantime I spoke *************** stated that she would put a request in for a refund. Oct 25th I got chg again-$212.00. I then called Crunch ************ to speak to a ********** put ******* on. She proceeded to tell me that NOW the freeze/hold is only good for 3 months. When I questioned her about the chg on the 11th & that it wasn't refunded she proceeded to tell me that since the hold/freeze is only good for 3 months she could not refund me. When I told her that she never followed up w/me regarding this she stated that she didn't know. I asked for a district manager to call ******** said that "Jordan" (district mgr) would call me back, no one has yet to call me to resolved this issue. Today, 10/28 I had to call back again & the mgr ****** stated he cannot do anything. Here is the problem- if I am told my membership is on hold for 6 months this should be the case. (I have a text) No one has even tried to fix this issue or return my monies. I am still waiting for a district mgr or just a mgr to call me back. The customer service has been terrible and I would just like my monies back that I was chargedInitial Complaint

Late **************** requested a medical release form to cancel my membership. I have Lupus and was ill and could no longer attend the gym. I was paying for private training in the sum of 268 every two weeks. I had not gone because of my illness and she told me if I presented the letter she would take care of everything. I did, the letter was done on July 3rd and was mailed to me a few days later and I emailed it to her. She told me everything was taken care of. Fast forward to today 8/29/24 I am getting a call from collections. She never once mentioned a past due amount and from the other complaints you cant even close an account with past due amount so I am confused as to what is going on. I am told if I do not give them the money for a service they never provided me it will go on my credit report. This is just wrong to be punished for being sick. This company has no compassion for anyone. It's a never ending nightmareInitial Complaint

I was a member of Crunch fitness ****** FL, During the week of 2/26/24 i went to the gym & asked that my membership be cancelled upon renewal as I was placing my condo on the market for sale & returning to *********** for the ********************* March I was charged on my CC the ***** renewal fee & the monthly membership fee. My CC was reimbursed after filing a dispute. In April I returned to the facility to inquire as to why ABC fitness kept insisting I pay $89.66. To which I was told I never notified them I was leaving, after my inability to resolve the issue W/ manager **************************, I tried to reach out to Crunch Corp ************ where you reach an answering machine 7 are disconnected. The Corp address is a PO Box in *********. I have now received a collection notice by ************* @ ************, Where once again I was instructed to NOW pay ****** for a membership I NO longer use, Cancelled in Feb & tried to resolve now 3X. Upon searching the reviews on Yelp, which I have placed a review, you will see this facility has a habit of billing for NON service &/or overbilling. The ****************** of this facility should be looked into for billing fraud.Initial Complaint
