I am filing this complaint against United REMOVEDfor breach of a binding moving contract, bad-faith price modification, and failure to refund. On January 29, 2026, I entered into a binding moving agreement with a move date confirmed as February 1, 2026. I paid $800.00 toward the total agreed price of $1,300.02.Before traveling, I explicitly confirmed with the company that the move was fully arranged. Relying on that confirmation, I traveled to REMOVED, packed my belongings, and prepared for the scheduled move. They failed to appear on February 1, 2026. After I contacted them, I was told:No driver was available I would need to wait another day I must pay an additional $100, which was later increased to $500 The binding contract would need to be modified or canceled This was a clear attempt to change the agreed price after I had already relied on the contract and traveled. When I refused to modify the contract and requested a refund, I was told a refund would be issued. As of today, no refund has been provided.Because they failed to perform, I was forced to conduct an emergency self-move using U-Haul, resulting in substantial unexpected debt. My documented damages include:$800.00 deposit paid $7,307.70 U-Haul outstanding balance $1,300.00 fuel cost $80.00 food expenses during emergency relocation $150.00 initial U-Haul payment $1,650.00 lost wages (5 workdays at $330/day)Additional damage As a direct result of the disruption and absence from work caused by this failed move, I ultimately lost my REMOVEDtotal documented damages currently exceed $13,500 and continue to increase.I am requesting:Refund of my $800 deposit Full reimbursement of all documented damages caused by their breach Written acknowledgment of wrongdoing and resolution This companys actions demonstrate deceptive business practices, bad-faith contract modification, and failure to refund funds after non-performance.I am seeking BBB assistance to facilitate a resolution.Initial Complaint

My household goods were packed in REMOVEDon October 29 2025. To date we have not received any information regarding the shipment of the household goods to my residence in REMOVED. Multiple calls, messages. Voice Mails have not provided me with a shipping date from REMOVED, nor have I been given a transit time from REMOVEDto REMOVED. The contract had stipulated that the goods were to have arrived 30 business days after the packing date at our residence in REMOVED. The situation is very concerning as we have goods that we need in our Nevada home.Initial Complaint

I , on June 30 signed a REMOVEDdollar contract for moving cross country. I put REMOVEDdollars down as a deposit. In August I took my house off the market and called United REMOVEDto cancel contract and get my deposit back. I have made numerous phone calls, always told its in review. I called today to talk to a supervisor and was told one wasnt available and Id be put on a long call back list. This is unacceptable. I want my 4000 deposit back and no more gamesInitial Complaint

Sept 25th 2025 movers were to arrive between 11 am and 2 pm. They were 4 hrs and 40 min. late. I called moving company 3 times wondering where the were. Company did not know. Last call I told customer service I'm adding more to my move and will not be charged. She agreed and said she would let the movers know. Which movers did not know.Movers did not wrap my furniture. Layed it in a dirty truck. They brought no tools to disassemble furniture or my washer and dryer. Had to go to a neighbor to borrow.I couldn't call company to add to my move ...they were closed to get new total. But as I said I was told no charge.VERY IMPORTANT - IF YOU ADD REMOVEDAT PICK-UP OR IF THE REMOVEDARE A DIFFERENT VOLUME FROM WHAT IS ESTIMATED ON THIS AGREEMENT:The mover must provide you with a revised estimate. Contact our office at OFFICE NUMBER REMOVEDSALES NUMBER REMOVEDCUSTOMER SUPPORT REMOVEDDO NOT allow the mover to load the truck or perform any services before you CALL US. You must agree in writing to the new estimate. We will assist you with this. If you have not signed the mover's revised estimate, and the mover loads the truck, then federal regulation requires that the mover has reaffirmed the original estimate and cannot demand additional payment at delivery for the additional items.I was given a claims site that did not REMOVEDAlso another on REMOVEDThey needed the original movers name and DOT I contacted the moving company and they could not give me this information to proceed with my claim.I have called at least 10 times. Many damaged items. Picked up in a u haul and delivered in a penske truckCustomer Answer

I am writing to dispute a transaction that happened between April 2nd and July 16th 2025 with United Global Vanlines which includes overcharging, false advertisement, tactics for obfuscation, rude and dismissive customer service, and damage of goods during a move. United Global Valines, with a binding contract, assured me of an original estimation that doubled from $1894.80 to $4,192.42 by their salesman who went through every one of our items with me to determine the amount and cost I was to expect. The salesman then promised me easy communication as I had mentioned my reluctance, and surely enough disappeared once the sale was made. The salesman also assured me that our items would be cared for well, only to find out that this company contracts out and doesnt even take responsibility for the damage that happened to my items. I want this company to be held accountable for their false advertisement, billing that makes no sense with false math and overcharges amounting to $846.60, the repeated ghosting I experienced from customer service and managers alike, who when reachable (their phones hardly ever pickup) are rude and dismissive, even yelling at me. Lastly, several of my things are damaged. I am hoping the bureau can help me get the company to refund me at least partially for this nightmare of a move, and I am hoping the bureau will take actions against them. The business has resolved nothing and has essentially dropped my concern entirely, reporting them is all I can do. Attached you can find the email I wrote to the manager of REMOVEDmoves, Mariia, after talking to her for over an hour on the phone. I never heard back from her after the complaint on July 16, despite sending several more check ins via email and phone. The attached email lays out more specifically what I am disputing. Thank you for helping.Initial Complaint

On 8/12/2025 United REMOVEDcharged $3,303.00 to my credit card for a move that I never signed a contract for. I had talked to REMOVEDprior to that about setting up a moving date. It was going to be August 19th but he stated after I gave him my credit card information that I would have to sign the contract and put down the deposit of $3,303.00. at which point I told him I could not do that as I was in the middle of buying a new home and could not put anything on my credit card at that time, I said it would have to wait until after September 15th when I closed on my home, I never signed the contract he sent me and I Don't have a copy of it because the estimate was cancelled but they still charged my credit card for the money. I have repeatedly called to get a refund as they should not have charged my credit card with out a signed contract. They keep telling me that it will be refunded but it is over a month later and I still have not been refunded. I reported it to my credit card company. I just want my money back.Initial Complaint

I paid $3716.29 for moving services. After calling and confirming with two separate representatives that my move would be on Monday, September 8, movers did not show up on that date and, after paying an additional $412.88 to ensure the Monday pickup as well as booking flights of over $800 and scheduling furniture delivery, I was told that the move would not be until September 9. I have made 10 calls and sent numerous text messages to the same employees who confirmed the Monday delivery and have been ignored.Initial Complaint

Move date: August 27, 2005, from REMOVED, REMOVED, to REMOVED, REMOVEDI was told by United REMOVEDthat they handled the move from start to finish, with no brokers involved. Lie. International Van Lines dealt with the move.I was told that I could pay by credit card. Lie. The payment instructions provided by REMOVEDcontained incorrect information, including the REMOVEDrouting number and bank account number, resulting in the payment being rejected and flagged for potential fraud. It also caused me to find a Chase REMOVEDwhile traveling between Florida and REMOVED. I incurred $120.00 in wire/chargeback fees. The move fee was much higher than quoted, and I cant trust the final amount paid, as it changed several times throughout the move. The drivers showed up six hours late, wearing casual attire, including flip-flop sandals, and without professional identification, in a pickup truck and trailer that had broken down before their REMOVEDbelongings weren't numbered to track the number of boxes. Items were lost and boxes crushed.Upon arrival, the driver lied to their dispatcher, claiming they had to park at the bottom of a hill to unload, and demanded more money. There are no hills. Lie. Parking was on a flat surface in front of the door and elevator. The movers left to get gas while I spoke with their dispatcher about the phony hill, delaying unloading by an hour.During unloading, the driver claimed that the distance from the truck to the entrance was greater than planned, and they weren't told that steps were involved, and demanded more money, which I refused to pay. More lies - there were no steps involved. More delays.A day after unloading, the driver, not the company, called me to demand $400, which I supposedly had agreed to pay him: a lie, if not extortion at its best. This outfit is truly a scam, with dispatchers reacting to the driver's fabricated information on site, holding the delivery of my goods hostage.Initial Complaint

The initial cost estimate started with $9052. They kept giving additional discounts and got the cost down to $7000. On the day of the move, they changed it to $10,738. The packers did not bring enough packing supplies. At delivery, they added another $500 for some stairs inside the house. The contract states appropriate packing material will be used for packing furniture and other items. The packers did not come with any blanket wraps or pad wraps. The truck was not loaded properly so the following day they started asking for more money to get a bigger truck and fit the rest of our stuff. We had to call other packers and hire a POD to get this situated. They used a basic cling wrap to wrap our furniture. The Upright Piano was packed with cardboard boxes and cling wrap. The piano has several damages. Our king mattress was not packed in any plastic cover or cling wrap which has caused the mattress to tear on the side. they have misplaced 3 sunglasses (1 REMOVED, 1 REMOVEDand 1 REMOVED), an Armani backpack is missing and a REMOVEDspade sling bag. Our dining table is broken. Most of our furniture has chips. At the time of delivery, the packers did not assemble any of the furniture which they had disassembled at the time of packing. This is part of the contract again. The packer said "I my own boss and i do what i please". They did not keep the boxes in the rooms we were asking them to and the delivery guy kept asking for money if we wanted them to do the job. The customer service agent on the call said "it is not that difficult to assemble beds so you can do it yourselves". We had to call people to assemble the furniture and rearrange boxes that was kept partially in the garage and the rest of it in the wrong places. When we called the company asking for what happened to our missing items, they asked to call the driver (packer) and he asked us to pay him money to go check the storage unit if any box was left behind.Initial Complaint

Scam. Gave me a price after I sent all photos and even said I could also add 20 20xboxes. Told me to view their REMOVEDreviews which apparently are all fake unless you read recent bad ones. Scammers. Use third party and triple price . Stay away writing state attorney.
