I received a letter from Benelynk disguised as a letter from *****************. It included a form called AUTHORIZATION OF ASSISTANCE. This letter required my signature. ***************** has never sent me this form in the past. I called the phone number on the letter (assuming that I was calling *****************). I was told that ***************** has always required their members to have this form in their files. So, ***************** is associated with Benelynk. Benelynk is a 3rd party company that helps insured people find assistance through social programs like The **************. But, NO, it is not REQUIRED for ***************** members to sign this form. They blatantly lied to me about this being required by *****************. I am definitely NOT going to do business with a company that disguises themselves as a company I have a relationship with. And then lies about my responsibility to remain as a member of a company that they have zero authority to do so.BeneLynk

We have reviewed the call recordings from 10/23/2024, where you rated us a 10/10, and 10/29/2024 where you asked for an additional phone number. We do apologize for any misunderstanding related to our partnership with ***************** and the use of the Authorization of Assistance. BeneLynk is contracted by ***************** as their ************************** Department. The Authorization of Assistance is a record of the permissions granted by the members to assist with the renewal of ******** benefits. The form is required to receive this assistance, however, if you do not desire our assistance, the form is not mandatory. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will take this into consideration when we train our employees to avoid any additional confusion.Review fromAngel A

Is Benelynk associated with Aetna? I am getting annoyed by their calls every day, and now mailings.BeneLynk
Date: 09/20/2024
Yes, we are partnering with ***** to help their members see if they might qualify for additional programs at no cost to them. You can give us a call for a short conversation to see if you may benefit from this additional assistance. You can also call the number on your Aetna ID card and ask them to confirm BeneLynk is a vendor they utilize.
Additionally, if you give us a call and request to not be contacted anymore, we will place you on our "do not assist" list.

If BeneLynk employees aren't payed by us, who pays them? How did BeneLynk gain the respect and trust of Insurance companies to be linked to them in this way? Why isn't BeneLynk completely transparent with this information? If they were, people would be less skeptical.BeneLynk

The notion of social care advocacy is not new. It's been around for over 20 years.
BeneLynk is a premier social advocacy company that many health plans choose to partner with to help their members.
The work that BeneLynk does is viewed by Health plans as added value to their members. We are compensated by the health plan to assist their members in achieving better social health through local programs and other meaningful assistance.Review fromBob L

I called their number an hour and 28 minutes ago, and I'm still on hold. I understand they may have high call volume, but 90 minutes on hold is ridiculous. Even during the height of COVID, when many companies had higher than normal call volumes and extended waiting times on hold, including my state's unemployment office, I never had to wait this long. It's now been over an hour and 33 minutes, and I'm still on hold. This is extremely poor customer service for a company that I thought was supposed to be there to help their members.BeneLynk

We understand your concerns and are attempting to assist the members of our health insurance partners. We find one of the obstacles we need to overcome is the healthy skepticism from the customers we attempt to reach. Our services are included in the health insurance benefits you already have and we will never ask for any form of payment. The negative reviews are from customers that do not call us to find out what we are offering at no cost to them. If you are interested, please review our website at ********************************** and you can contact us through the website with any questions.Review fromMilena P

1 starI received a letter from Benelynk last week that informed me they were working in coordination with United Healthcare (***) and would assist me with completing my application for medical assistance from the state of *******. I was suspicious because I've always renewed my state benefits myself using Georgia DHFS applications. I saw no reason to use outside help. It also concerned me that the *** logo was at the top of the letter and it was Benelynk's office is in *******, ******* but my *** mail always comes from **************. I checked out Benelynk on the the BBB website and found complaints about seniors like me being scammed. I called *** customer service and was told that *** has no relationship with Benelynk. The same day I received Benelynk's letter I got a letter from *** in ********* CIty stating I was about to lose my coverage if I didn't prove my ******** eligibility. It looked authentic because it included a lot of personal information, such as policy number and member ID. They also used the correct number for *** customer service. While speaking to the *** rep about Benelynk I asked her to do a search for this letter. She confirmed that it was not sent by ***.It get's worse. Gateway.gov, Georgia's website for tracking and renewing my benefits has closed my SNAP and medical benefits accounts. So, I can't imagine why Benelynk continues to exist!Review fromPhil T

My dad and mom received multiple letters from these scammers. They also signed it as they trusted the letter head, but thankfully I researched on theses guys before mailing it. Whats interesting is that these scammers are responding to some of the messages posted here on BBBs website, but they are not BBB accredited.BeneLynk

Thank you, ******. We are accredited by the BBB and appreciate your review. To start, we are definitely not a scam. We do realize that it is difficult to conceive we are offering products/services that your parents may qualify for, at no cost to them. Unfortunately, there are too many scams these days and we appreciate you monitoring your parents' mail to keep them safe. If you would like more information on how we can assist, please review our website at www. benelynk.com and if you have questions, you can email us at *******************************. ********************* should be able to verify our contractual partnership if you choose to call the number on the back of their insurance card. Again, we appreciate you giving us this review so we can work to build trust with the members we reach out to.
Sincerely,
*******

This is the second letter Ive received from Benelynk using my insurance companys letterhead! As I see from other reviews this is a scam and am wondering why this isnt being handled. The language in the letter is close to threatening but also claims its voluntary?!? Why would any policyholder want this unknown company to have access to our personal information?! Everyone beware!! Very unethical company.. please dont respond Benelynk. Please BBB lower your rating of this shady company. Thank you.BeneLynk
