    My name is **** ****** *****, My son was currently enrolled in Florida Healthy Kids through CMS/WellCare. I am appealing to you because I do not understand the cancellation of my son's medical insurance. I am a single parent with a child who is special, he depends on his behavioral and speech therapies to improve. I receive social security benefits for medical disability. We are very frustrated with the poor communication and decisions on the part of healthy kids, they asked me for my income, I sent them the letter that social security gave me to be sent to them confirming the monthly income yesterday, January 31, they called me to tell me that That letter does not justify my admission, which was different from that one. In reality, I was never given the correct information. I spoke with several people, each with different information. The person I spoke with yesterday told me that he would try to send them the letter that requires what they demand, even so they guaranteed me that my son would continue with his active medical service in the month of February while the other letter is received. Today in the morning they call us from the behavioral therapy agency that my son does not is eligible that his insurance was canceled for this reason, I am desperate because this situation would affect my son both emotionally, academically and before society, I ask you to please intervene and review my case taking into account my situation on my behalf.     My child still does not appear active, yesterday they told me that everything was fine that he was already active but not yet, I thank them so much for their collaboration

    Florida Kidcare Account 8208610579 On June 2, 2022 I paid in advance for healthcare coverage for the month of July 2022. I paid $20 for the coverage and $1.50 convience fee. So a total of $21.50 was paid. Florida Kidcare received these funds and accepted these funds from my banking account online. Mid June 2022 I received a letter from Florida Kidcare stating the coverage was going to be termed effective June 30, 2022 and that any monies owed to me would be refunded by a live check sent regular mail. I have not received my refund. I even sent an email to Florida Kidcare on June 30,2022 asking where is my refund. It is now July 13, 2022 I just called Florida Kidcare and they told me I still have a credit on the account since they have still not issued me my refund. I want my money refunded my love check sent regular mail with expedited delivery immediately. Florida Kidcare has accepted funds for services they have not provided since June 30, 2022 and have yet to send my refund. This is illegal business practices.

    We have corrected the issue with processing the refund to complainant. Refund is issuing and will go out in the mail next week. We are attempting to contact the complainant to relay this information. We will send an update once we speak with the complainant.

    Florida Healthy Kid Care changed my son’s insurance plan without notifying me. My son is disabled bed bound and now he is being denied services that is due to him for his everyday well being and assisted living needs. They refused to admit that they did anything wrong and to help me get my son’s insurance back to the sunshine CMS as of February 1st since they are at fault

    We have resolved this issue. We contacted *** ****** with the resolution and she is satisfied with the outcome.
