I am extremely disappointed in Adventure Island’s lack of response following a serious medical emergency that occurred during our visit on April 25, 2025. I stepped on a bee in the toddler play area shortly after arriving and had a severe allergic reaction. Although the park’s medical team administered an epinephrine injection promptly, I began to experience worsening symptoms soon after, including dizziness and severe leg pain, making it unsafe for me to remain at the park. As a result, my family—my elderly mother, toddler daughter, and young son—had to leave the park shortly after entering, unable to enjoy any of the attractions or amenities we paid nearly $400 for. This was particularly upsetting for my children, who had been excited for the day. I have made repeated attempts to resolve this issue with Adventure Island directly. I have called guest services, customer service, and the risk management department multiple times and left detailed voicemails. I have also sent several emails and submitted direct messages through their website, but I have not received a single response. This complete lack of follow-up is unacceptable, especially given that the incident occurred on park property and involved a guest with a serious medical emergency. I am formally requesting a refund for our visit, which is a reasonable and fair resolution under the circumstances. If Adventure Island truly values guest safety and family experiences, they should respond promptly and appropriately. I hope this complaint prompts action, as I would prefer to avoid pursuing further steps. Requested Resolution: Full refund of the cost of admission (~$400) due to early departure caused by a medical emergency on park property and subsequent lack of response from the company.

Short in simple. We visted this locaton on September 13th,2024, came with my family from South Florida 4 hour drive to arrive to the location to be told that most of the rides are closed due to they don't have enough life guards. It was me my wife and two toddlers so practically are kids were the only ones that was able enjoy them selves because of the part that was open for the kids. No signs on location or warning on the website to advise that most of the rides were going to be open. Why you ask the only thing I can think of was to take your money with no regard. NEVER WILL RETURN TO THIS PLACE WORST WATER I EVER BEEN I RATHER SPEND AN ARM AND A LEG AT UNIVERSAL VOCANO BAY THEN COME BACK TO THIS PLACE.

I took my grandchildren 3 times this summer to Adventure Island and each time I was so disappointed. First thing was how dirty and disgusting the ground tile and the pools were. I had to buy water shoes for them because I didnt want them touching the tile. Bathrooms were filthy and the floors were dirty not to mention the toilets. Not once on any of the days we were there did I ever see anyone cleaning. At lunch, they dont let you bring in food, I had to spend over an hour waiting in line.AND the reason the lines never moved was because the workers were so slow and had a attitude that they just didnt care. AWFUL SERVICE. Its really too too bad because I took them to the ************************** and it was absolutely a wonderful experience. Dont spend your money at Adventure Island, take the drive to ******************, they have two.********************* August 2024

Filthy and unsanitary. There was garbage all over the grounds. The water was so cloudy it was WHITE! There was mildew and slippery mold in multiple places. Near the kid zone it smelled of rotting something. There was like black slime around it. There was no ice in the whole park. One of the beverage stations t had mold ALL OVER the drink machine. The cabinets were broken and people had to step over the broken cabinets to get their drinks. I mean NOT one employee was wiping anything down or picking up garbage....nothing. I feel like we paid $400 to spend a day in a ses pool. Absolutely disgusting!!

I have emailed adventure Island twice and I was put on hold on the phone for over an hour waiting to speak to a supervisor. I finally hung up as I could not wait any longer. Complaint: I am writing regarding a medical issue that happened and the lack/nonresponse of your medics and management. I believe it was between 12:30-1:30, we were at counter 2 at the surfside café and just had finished paying for our order when my son passed out at the counter. I dumped the water we just ordered on him to cool him down and then had to take it upon myself to ask for a wet towel and some ice. The cashier did say a medic was called but not one manager or supervisor ever came out to help us. It was just me tending to my son by myself. What if he was having a heart issue or a severe case of heat exhaustion? What if I wasn’t there at that moment? This could have been a very dangerous situation. Once my son was able to become a more alert and stand up and we went to sit down and still not one person checked on us nor did we see a medic anywhere in the area. We waited around another 15 minutes still no medic!! This is disappointing and very concerning. It is a huge liability to the park when there is someone that needs help and it is not provided. My son could have been in serious jeopardy. The lack of non- action taken by the staff at Adventure Island is unacceptable and very disheartening. Unfortunately, after the situation, we had to leave the park so my son could lay down and rest. Due to the rain that day, the line at customer service was overwhelming with others trying to get their rain check and as my son wasn’t feeling well, we could not stand in line and wait as we were told we had to do. I am honestly without words for the lack of action taken.

I have been trying to get a hold of a human being at Adventure Island or Busch Gardens for weeks. When I call 813-884-4FUN, no matter the selection, a computerized voice says what sounds like a URL because it starts with https: but it is so long and so fast I can't get it down then it hangs up on me. Why is this number just hanging up? It's the only number available for both parks. I've already tried submitting a form to customer service online to get a call back, twice, and no reply. No "ambassador" answers on the chatbox. I need to speak to a human being about my Adventure Island EZPay pass. Why is that not possible? I tried waiting in the line at the park one day and I was in line for 90 minutes before just giving up. Who has the time to drive 45 minutes, then stand in line for 90 minutes for nothing? I've been going to these parks since I was a kid and I am appalled at this. How can there be no way to reach a human being at these Tampa Parks? They can't just take people's money and then have no one to talk to. This is wrong.

Unhealthy, unsanitary, over crowded, obscene wait times even for something as crucial as buying a beverage in 90 degree heat. The food was disgusting, the water was murky and gray and stunk like nasty water. Overpriced! Extremely unsanitary as there was actual human feces in front of the surf side cafe where many children were playing as they waited for nearly two hours just to order their food. This is a scam and I want to warn everyone that it's unsafe and unclean! Don't come here!!

I think this place needs a better system and better manager. I was struck in the face in July 17th and manager and "police" called. manager and police Changed story multiple times on who they talked to. Then decided after everything that they where kicking me out of the park and said that I was never struck. If corporate would just look at the cameras by the wave pool and the snack shack at about 1:25 pm on July 27th,2022. You will see everything that happened and you are all wrong! You just lost pass customer that has been coming back for years. They racial profile. And as soon as some one pulls the race card. They are afraid to do what's right.

    Adventure Island Tampa Fl
hello, yesterday June 26, 2022 I went to adventure island in tampa with my wife, my mother and my two children, we all have the annual gold pass but my mother recently came to our house and we wanted to take her to see the park and spend the day with us and we decided to use one of the guest tickets that we have available for our annual pass. The first thing was that the automatic quickly pass windows did not work well, so we had to stand in a huge line under the sun to get my mother's ticket. then, at the entrance, the man in charge, named Tony according to the letterhead he was wearing, did everything possible to ruin our day, he began to look for problems in the passes that clearly had no problem, and to finish he told me in Spanish "Tu ****** suave" which upset me a lot because it is a lack of respect and more so in front of my little children, when the supervisor arrived he verified that there was exactly no problem, that everything was an error of the employee and he let us in without any problem , in the time that we were there, the line stopped and the discontent of all those who did not understand what was happening was total, they heard, "it's ridiculous" because the line could have continued, really Mr. Tony should not be in that position because he clearly does not have the patience or the aptitude to work with the public. once inside the problems were other, the gastronomy service is lousy, very few stalls and the staff very slow so there are huge queues, food point employees talking to each other, entertained and unfocused. in short, a total adventure island case of tampa.
