    The unprofessional manner is unacceptable. I called to report that the account they listed on my credit report is very well not accurate in fact fraudulent after the account they are referring to was legally completed in court. With documentation to prove that no funds were granted to be paid out from me. The person who answered the phone was very rude and decided to proceed with he was hanging up the phone and not continuing the call because I told him that what he was reading to me was irrelevant to the information I'm providing to him because I legally do not owe any money to their company or the alleged company that they purchase the account from. They are fraudulently posting information on credit reports and I will move forward with legal representation. If I can give a zero for the stars I would

The consumer states that she feels frustrated with the unprofessional handling of her credit report dispute. The consumer called to report that the account listed is inaccurate and fraudulent, as it was legally resolved in court with documentation proving no funds were owed. The Hunter Warfield representative was rude and ended the call when she pointed out the irrelevance of the response. The consumer believes that Hunter Warfield is fraudulently posting information on credit reports and plans to pursue legal action.
    Strand Management Group referred an account to Hunter Warfield for collection on 11/18/2024, listing the principal amount due of $1,386.00. The initial collection letter was sent to the consumer on 11/23/2024.
    After reviewing the interaction between the consumer and Hunter Warfield's representatives, it was determined that the representatives conducted themselves professionally while providing relevant information. However, Hunter Warfield acknowledges that the consumer may have felt uncomfortable during the exchange and extends a sincere apology for any distress caused.
    To aid the consumer in the resolution of the matter, Hunter Warfield has submitted a request to the credit bureaus for removal of any information concerning the debt. In addition, Hunter Warfield has closed its collection account.

    Paid my account balance on Saturday by credit card and could not access the receipt. He did confirm the balance was paid and I asked customer service to send it to my email address. He said that is not their policy and will send it to my home address but need to wait 10 days! Send it to my email address! Terrible customer service.

The consumer further states that a representative confirmed the balance was paid and she requested customer service to send the receipt to her email address. However, the representative informed the consumer that they would send it to her mailing address which would take up to 10 days. The consumer needs the receipt sent to her email address.

    ********* referred an account to ******************** for collection on 10/06/2023, listing the principal amount due of $39.95. The initial collection letter was sent to the consumer on 10/09/2023.

    As referenced by the consumer, a payment in the amount of $39.95 was received from the consumer on 04/19/2025, thus settling the debt in full. The account is currently showing a $0.00 balance.

    I have seen requested validation of the debt via certified mail and have not received accurate proof that the debt is owed. I have also reached out to the listed original creditor requesting accurate proof that the debt is owed with no response. Formal complaints have been filed with the Maryland Office of Attorney General - Consumer Finance Division and the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) for violation of my consumer rights. I am also in contact with a consumer law attorney to seek compensation for FDCPA and FCRA violations.

    This company sent me a fraudulent notice from an apartment complex in ********** ******* that is the same evidence that the owners sent me, however the pictures were taken from another unit which had brown floors and my laminate flooring was gray. I am going to report them to the State of Florida to be investigated and I know all about Hillsborough and Pinellas county.

The consumer states that Hunter Warfield sent a fraudulent notice to an apartment complex in Kalispell, Montana, claiming the pictures were taken from another unit with brown floors, and plans to report to the State of Florida.
    Silverbrook Apartments referred an account to Hunter Warfield for collection on 11/20/2024, listing the principal amount due of $1,135.52. The initial collection letter was sent to the consumer on 11/23/2024.
    Please note that validation of debt documents was sent to the consumer via email on 11/23/2024 as a response to a previous dispute.
    We relayed the consumer’s concerns to Silverbrook Apartments, and they informed us that the move-out from unit 325-211 was a complex process, with a security deposit applied to any damages beyond normal wear and tear. The move-out inspection revealed a strong pet odor, which was remedied by replacing carpets, padding, and tack strips, and treating the subfloor and baseboards. The charges applied included carpet replacement, janitorial services, and pet-related cleaning and odor treatment.

    They stole 1,186 when I tried to settle my debt. I was told on 11/29/24 only 154 would be taken out of my account. However that wasn’t the case. I woke up to 18 unauthorized transactions taken out of my back account right after I put my card information into their website www.payhwi.com. Terrible customer service extremely rude literally every individual I spoke with to get help with what they had done, not only that they would hang up each time. They insisted I was lying about any money being taken from my account at all and I have proof of all transactions being taken out. I know their response will be filled with lies as I see here from other reviewers. They have a 1.4 stars on google. So everyone can’t be lying about this company. Something needs to be done. They shouldn’t be allowed to keep doing these things to people. Especially ones trying to settle debts. I even have recorded telephone conversations of how rude their customer service was. I wish I could upload those here. I wish I could show photos of the google reviews of this god awful site

    This is a horrible company and of course their response would be that they didn’t take anything. A thief wouldn’t openly admit to stealing. The google/yelp reviews of this company speak for itself. They have a terrible rating for a reason

    This company just called my number and disclosed the complete debt information about a random person, without going through the proper verification steps, I asked for my phone number to be removed from their calling list stared giving me attitude and disconnected the line. Called back and ask to speak to a manager I was transferred to "manager" David M****** and gave me an attitude when I asked him to provide me this companies main contact information, he then went ahead and tried to verify the DOB that of course it was incorrect. I told him what had happened and said your phone number has already been removed. with this said im leaving this review just in case I get another phone call from this company. I will sue them!

    What is the point of the review.We need action You should not have interest on a debt ! Especially a debt youre paying on. This isnt a loan. This is a collection. You should only be collecting what I owe. Not penalizing me for paying my debt. This will be just another review as I seen this fraud company has been in business for 20 years. Sorry to whoever has to speak to these rude individuals who hang up on you. I paid one of my 3 payments and now Im back at the original amount. So my payment of 700 just went to them.

    This company will NOT work with you when you are on a fixed income. They DO NOT CARE if you can pay them or not. They expect you to pay more then what you can afford and that's crazy so another words they want you to give them ALL of your money just to SATISFY THEM. This DEBT is HOLDING ME BACK FROM GETTING HOUSING ANYWHERE. They are NOT understanding of peoples situations. sooooooo frustrating. They also bug you nonstop till they get a payment

    Good luck trying to get reasonable help from this company. I paid over half the amount owe from my apartment and when I recently explain to them that I’m in between jobs because I got terminated from another job, they will not work with me even though I call them to discuss about another extension until I get funds in. Now I’m force to either take legal actions or come up with the money owe by the time they close at 5 pm. People please be careful with dealing with these people. I felt as if I was the bad person or held accountable for actions. Like they say I was making payments for one of the months or I was late and wanted to feel sorry that I wasn’t able to make those payments. I’m force to pawn my stuff to try to pay them before the end of the time they close. This is very sad and disgusting that they are still in business and the amount of responses you get from other reviewers about the same thing. I never had problems or issues like these from other debt collectors.
