      Call two weeks ago for a payoff figure. Over $7000.00. Wrote a check that day for the amount they told me. Today I get a call from them stating that I was short $6.00 and change. I said, "Send me a bill, and I will pay it." She tells me she can't and that they will hold my thousands until I pay the balance. I said okay, I will write a check and put it in the mail. I asked her for my policy number and the address to send the big old $6.00. She tells me that the balance changes every day so it might be a little more by the time they receive the check. At that point, I was done. I tell her no worries, I will send $10.00 to cover more than enough of the bill. She then tells me she can't give me the policy number or address over the phone. You cannot give me a billing address over the phone... seriously. When I tell you I dealt with an idiot I dealt with an idiotGTE..Feel free to keep any overpayment.

      Piece of garbage. They have ************ that literally steal your card and not return them. When you look for help they ignore you for half an hour then tell you sorry they cant help you. One worker literally came out of his office and tried to intimidate me. Very unprofessional and guessing if you dont give them your money so they can fee you to death, you are worthless to them. I would run as fast as I can away from this business.

      GTE credit Union loan teams My husband and I recently had need to obtain a home equity loan from our credit union at GTE. Ill have to say that from the start every department and the persons that manned those departments were professional, patient and top notch. There were several items that had to be changed and everyone in every department stepped up to get it redone without any problems. In a timely manner. Getting a loan can sometimes be a frustrating experience, however with the team at GTE as patient and understanding as they were made it as effortless as possible. We were really amazed at the team working with each other as well as complete communication between the departments were able to complete everything in a timely professional and effortlessly experience. Anyone looking to obtain an equity loan from GTE rest assured you are in good hands. The Carys

      I banked at GTE FINANCIAL in ***** and their predecessors for more than 35 years. For years I had thousands on deposit for which I received a paltry return. During that time GTE reduced service to customers eliminating onsite tellers and drive through bank service. When I walked in no one greeted me or even looked up from their desks as if they did not want to be bothered. When I finally found other financial institutions who valued my business I transferred my funds and attempted to close my account at GTE. I was accessed $42 in bogus fees. I called GTE customer service and lodged my complaint. The representative said she must speak with a supervisor and promised a call back which never came. I made a fifty mile round trip to the Ocala branch and met with a representative. I was refused a refund, paid the $42, and closed my account. So much for customer appreciation. I would not recommend GTE. THERE ARE BETTER CHOICES THAN GTE.

      Worse bank to deal with. Fees fees fees even with locked cards. This bank is a complete joke. Instead of wasting money on remodeling invest in your policies and stop ripping us off

      I will close my credit card as soon is paid , this institution have the worst costumer service ever , the slowest payment processing time and the worst app in the planet , I will not recommend join this bank in any way possible

      They suck!! I had a boat loan, paid off the boat loan. For some reason my account remained effective. THEN they charged me $18, for 3 months of paper statement, that I never asked for THEN they charged me $12 for a phone call to them. Ridiculous!!! I am just trying to close my account. These charges are ********. I never heard of someone charging me just to speak to customer service.

      I have been a loyal customer for YEARS. I did not realize they had a courtesy pay option where they will overdraft your account to pay for things for you and then charge you an additional $35 every time it does this. I called after losing out on $140, at -$67 in my account from fees when l had money in savings and hadnt been actively checking the account because I was dealing with a medical issue. I called, was explained about the courtesy pay (which again I never opted into and would have never agreed to) and asked to be transferred to the supervisor who, after talking for several minutes and sobbing on the phone because that would be all I had to get groceries and gas until next week, only reversed 2 of the fees to get me out of the negative. I told him my predicament and asked for one more fee to be waived and he refused. I now have a whopping 27 cents to my name and *** never been angrier.

      GTE FCU has my auto loan. I have found the people working there are so rude. They don't believe in "customer service". They would never go out of their way to help a customer. They must get no training in customer relations. I don't recommend anyone going to this credit union for anything.

      I have been a customer of GTE Bank since 2010, and my experience has been consistently disappointing. The last six months have been particularly frustrating as I have been unable to use my card, with every transaction being denied. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue by calling customer service, I have been met with long hold times, often exceeding 30 minutes, and absolutely no resolution.To make matters worse, I was told multiple times that I was using the wrong expiration date on my card, even though I was clearly using the correct one. I even faced the embarrassment of having my credit card denied during in-person transactions. The lack of effective customer service and constant issues with my account have made me lose all faith in GTE Bank.The final straw came when I decided to close all my accounts. I informed the agent, who assured me they would email card support to process the closure. This entire process has been nothing short of a nightmare.I will never open an account or do business with this company ever again. If you value your time and peace of mind, I strongly advise against banking with GTE.
