Suncoast is horrible when it comes to bill pay. The "Okay" to set for a specific date DOES NOT SHOW UP and they keep saying its our computer. Well, that computer died and we have a new PC with factory settings and guess what? It still does NOT show up! Not to mention that their delay by NOT following the specific dates to send for prompt arrival are causing late charges that we have to pay because of their incompetence. They need to change their bill pay for "date input" for sending bills under bill pay and NOT use the calendar version that doesn't show the "okay" to enter payment due dates. This has been an ongoing issue for years and every time we call we get a new incompetent person saying its our system. Well, it's not! It's Suncoast Technical Issue and this needs to be addressed already by Administration and get it changed to make it easier for your clients to pay their bills without all the inconveniences involved. End note: Get rid of the Calendar way of setting due dates for bill pay billing. Go to a "data entry" version instead!Suncoast Credit Union Response

Suncoast Credit Union is using entrapment tactics with their consumers to buy into an increase in their credit card amount awarded. They didn’t provide the necessary documentation for one to decide on accepting an offer of this nature. Back in 2018 I had a 1,000-dollar credit card with Suncoast Credit Union. Suncoast proceeded to run my credit (soft inquire) without my consent or knowledge. Based on the soft inquiry findings, they added 16,500 to my credit card without my consent. Once, I noticed the huge increase; I immediately called the bank and questioned the discrepancy to see if it was correct. I was told it was in fact correct. I proceeded to use the credit card with an interest rate of 18% which I was also unaware of until now. Unfortunately, I'm now stuck in this predicament, due to Suncoast unprofessional tactics of enticement to get me to buy into an increased credit card limit. This type of tactic can trap consumers into paying a high interest credit card. Or cause financial hardship and ruin credit. I did make payments to try and pay off the credit card; sadly, Suncoast would just add on a whole bunch of interest charges. Therefore, each payment made never made a dent toward the credit card to bring the amount down. Now, I'm being forced by the bank into having the credit card rewritten into a loan. I agreed to their terms because of a threatening letter to be sued and have my wages garnished. I'm reaching out to the BBB organization so that other consumers won’t be tricked into their unethical practices to deceive and entrap consumers into buying into this credit card amount increase scheme.

Heres a revised version of your review for clarity and professionalism while still conveying your frustration:Im married to a banker, so I understand customer service expectations in the financial industry, and my experience with Suncoasts phone support was disappointing. While I did speak to one helpful representative (******), the rest of the interactions left much to be ********** account was restricted due to some micro withdrawals from **********. I wasnt rude or unreasonableI simply wanted clarification about why this happened and how I could have been notified more effectively than by email, which I didnt see until a day and a half later. Unfortunately, this delay caused my bills to be late. When I asked about alternative notification methods, I was met with an unhelpful and condescending attitude, particularly from someone I believe was named *******. Instead of addressing my concerns, she rudely reiterated that I had already been told about the situation. I wasnt disputing thatI was trying to understand how to avoid a similar issue in the future, as I work long hours and overnights, making email an unreliable form of communication for urgent matters. What upset me most was the unnecessary arrogance and dismissive tone. As a nurse, I deal with all kinds of questionssome repetitive, some basicbut I treat people with respect. Thats part of the job. **************** is no different. If you dont like helping people, dont work in a role that requires it.Suncoast needs to ensure their representatives are trained to treat customers with dignity and patience. Situations like mine can be frustrating, but theres no excuse for making a customer feel unwelcome or regretful for reaching out. ****** was the only person who truly embodied what customer service should be. Unfortunately, the behavior of others overshadowed his helpfulness.Suncoast Credit Union Response

Should be 0 stars. I signed up with an account t that is not allowed to go negative but my balance consistently goes negative and they refuse to stop it. I can get denied at ******* for being .10c short for baby formula but God forbid ******* premium wants to charge, because that'll send my banalce negative and cause me to have to pay a negative balance fee. For shame suncoast.Review from John H

Horrible! Opened up an account as a new member, deposited money and my severance check. They flagged my account for risk management but communicated nothing other than it takes 9 days for the check to clear as a new member. Fine I understand that but what I didnt grasp is the additional cash I deposited wasnt available as i went to get gas it says please contact issuer. Then I immediately got a no online account access message. I called and there was no rationale given and told me to go to the branch where the manager also wouldn't provide any rationale and wasn't very welcoming at all. I think because im black depositing money was the issue.Suncoast Credit Union Response

I had an account with Suncoast credit union where my social security was directly deposit. I also had auto pay to many businesses. Including my Chase credit card setup on Auto pay. Well Suncoast paid the first payment request from Chase credit card. However the second month the declined the auto pay request along with several other credit cards auto pay request! I went to the Chiefland Florida branch and demanded my account be closed and all money be removed from my accounts and they be closed. That was approximately 4 months ago. I kept getting snail mail from Suncoast credit union. Well yesterday I called to try to stop this garbage I didn't want! I got a call center instead of a Branch office. So clearly they're getting a huge amount of call complaints! I got a supervisor and explained I was getting mail and wanted to know why? Well they left $5 in my savings account to keep my account/membership open! Against my instructions! So they are supposed to close everything and mail me my $5. We will see!Suncoast Credit Union Response

I am very frustrated that you cannot pay a car payment without transferring money to your suncoast account then transferring it again to your loan. It is frustrating that this process takes days and sometimes results in the payment being late since I get paid on the day its due. Not all of us can afford to transfer money days in advance. Get with the times people.Suncoast Credit Union Response
