I opened an account in 2021, and decided earlier this month to close the account to slim down. After selling all of the stocks, worth $67.21 i waited a few days for the next steps which were listed but werent available yet for unlisted reasons. The closing process is intentionally confusing which is why almost every report against them lists this same issue. I have the funding source listed and am just waiting for them to decide I am allowed to have my money. I would like the listed amount to be sent to my funding source so I can close the account.Business response

I have been trying for a month to close my account and get my $10 back that I had invested. It is the same as previous complaints listed as they continue to give me the whole go around w it out doing anything. This is ridiculous and extremely frustrating if they are an app on the *** App Store it is policy they have an option to close accounts and a means to assist their customers. They are in direct violation of this. I want my name and data erased wouldnt hurt to get my money back either.Business response

This customer reached out to our customer service team roughly a month ago. Our team tried to assist this customer in closing their account and withdrawing their money. After reviewing with *************, it was discovered that the user had deleted their bank account connection, which made it impossible to send the money in their account to their bank account (as we no longer had access to the connection).
We reached back out multiple times over the 3 days following our request for this customer to re-connect their bank account so we have somewhere to transfer their money. When we got no response, we closed the ticket.
After roughly 3 weeks with no response from the customer, they reached back out on February 20th informing us they were filing this complaint with the BBB.
We told them if they don't want to connect their bank account, we can send them a check, but our brokerage provider charges a $3 fee. The customer confirmed that's okay with them. However, before our customer service agent began processing the check, they looked at the customers account and saw that the customer changed their First and Last name on our platform to "None ya ******* business" and "this app is a scam."
So we're currently waiting on the customer to verify their legal name before sending a check. We can send a check with the current name if the customer would like, but we imagine it will be hard to deposit that check into their bank account.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory as long as they follow through and close my account while also providing some re-education and training to their customer service rep ****************************
