1 starWe purchased a car four years ago at Wesley Chapel Honda (Tampa Honda and Wesley Chapel Honda owned by Lithia Motors) and, besides getting a horrible deal which I hope to never do again, the morons at Tampa Honda AGAIN sent one of their phony checks for $8878.00 good for any car AND will give you MSRP for your trade! In short, the dimwit Manager, Justin Hann, is promising to practically give you a free car! Oh...the check is only good for the recipient...my mother who has been dead for over 16 years and never lived in Florida! I have asked Tampa Honda and Wesley Chapel Honda (both owned by Lithia Motors) to NEVER send these again, but they continue!Review fromSasmita M

1 starWe bought a used 2021 **************** Pilot from Tampa Honda at *************************************** The agent was ***************************. **** was very gentle and friendly , and ***** also the Best Agent of the Year, While the deal was finalized and I saw the paper as sold as is, I did have some concerns. Then I asked **** that, can you offer at least one week warranty on major components? He said you are buying a ****************, and that****;s less likely to occur. If that happens, we are human beings and will work with you. Now I got the car drive home and the engine light on the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with an emission system problem. I went back to the dealer, and they told me its your responsibility to pay for the diagnostic and repair costs. I met with **** and reminded him about his promise, and his behavior was rude. He told me once you are out of our dealership, its my responsibility, and its your vehicle. Now, I cant do anything about that. They ran a diagnostic test, telling me they didn****;t find any trouble in the engine. I might forget to switch up the engine while putting in the gas or overfilling the tank. Their service manager told me that we are doing you a favor. We will not charge the diagnostic fee. We just reset the computer and dont want you to spend any money on a vehicle you got from our dealer a few days back. I drove back home happily, thinking that the matter was resolved. After driving around 200 miles again, the same emission system problem appeared so I immediately made an appointment and went back to the dealership. They find multiple problems with the car and ask me to pay around 3k to start with, and then we will go on from there to figure out if there are any other problems. I feel like a victim of illegal practices and deceptive business strategies. They sold me a car knowing that its not safe to drive with multiple engine issues. We have been driving **************** for a long time, and this is our bad experience with the **************** dealership.Review fromGreg L

1 starI bought a used car "as-is" from Tampa Honda for my teenage daughter. They assured me the car had been inspected by the mechanics and that there were no major issues. Given Honda's reputation and having bought multiple cars from them I trusted them. Fast forward 13 days after purchase. The car became undriveable. I was able to get the codes read and realized the cylinders were misfiring and there was almost no oil in the engine. I immediately contacted Dan the Sales Manager and apparent Tampa Honda GM and explained to him the car was undriveable after only 13 days. I understand I bought the car as is, but to have major mechanical issues after 13 days when they assured me it was in good working order was a lie. Dan clearly stated he didn't care the car was undriveable, refused to do anything and was beyond rude and told me to fix it myself because they gave me a good deal. Refused to do a courtesy diagnosis and told me I will just be more upset when they tell me how much it will cost to be fixed. I had the car towed to an independent mechanic who identified several major issues with the car including bad engine coils, broken engine mount, almost no oil in engine and airbag was broken and would not deploy in a collision. Mechanic stated after reviewing the cars computer it was obvious codes had been recently erased in regard to the above mechanical issue by the dealer without being fixed. Auto shop was so angry they agreed to provide a deposition against Tampa Honda for concealing major mechanical issues. The final cost to repair the car I purchased from Tampa Honda 13 days earlier was $3300! Independent mechanic stated there was no way Tampa Honda was not away of the severe mechanical issues when they sold the car. If you have any intention of buying a car from Tampa Honda, don't! The management is horrendous, dismissive and lack any integrity. To their credit they successfully deceived me into thinking I was buying a car with no major issues, but they lied.Review fromJr L

Went in for a repair under warranty on a Civic 2022 EX-L that was supposed to be a one day job and ended up being three days, on the second day after calling no less than 10 times, either to be hanged up upon or provided no info whatsoever, I showed up to the dealer just to be told the vehicle was not ready and no info could be provide since the advisor assigned was not there. After rearranging work and personal stuff again I was able to pick up the vehicle on the fourth day. After picking up the vehicle I called back almost immediately to notify the exhaust was leaking after the repair (not noticed when picked up because it was raining a lot) upon arriving to my house I noticed it and called right away, I then talked to the first service advisor that worked with me originally (*******), explained the situation and agreed to sent the car back next day.Sent the car back next day (5 days wasted already) I notify clearly what was the situation and even sent a note (EXHAUST LEAK) with my wife who was in this last case the person dropping the vehicle at Tampa Honda: They returned the car with a service note stating that no OIL leak was found????At this point I have called around 20 to 30 times, took 6 Uber trips. They always hang up, or placed you on hold without notification, or just dont answer. **Except for ******* who was the first advisor that I worked with, this place has to be among some of the worst customer service Ive experienced in the area.Went back to the shop a third time, supposed to be fixed (sounded like while inside their shop), upon driving out on the road as well as after the vehicle cool down at home and got to start it next day, same loud exhaust noise started to come out under both situations. For sure paying for another shop to fix.Upon dropping the car at a different shop they immediately found a broken gasket on the exhaust and two missing screws from the skid plate/cover that Tampa Honda messed up and left like that.Tampa Honda

We apologize for the miscommunication and inconvenience this previous visit created. We are working on both our phone system and advisor write process to help eliminate these kinds of situations. Management is aware of these situations and are actively monitoring them daily since this occurred. We are Again apologize and are happy that the exhaust leak is now eliminated.Jr L

5 starsMy name is ***** and I want to express how impressed I was with my purchase experience at Tampa Honda. At no point of my life have I ever enjoyed a car buying experience it has always been painful! With that said my experience a Tampa honda was the exact opposite! I was promptly greeted and treated with great respect by a salesman name **** he was very helpful And knowledgeable! The Sales manager *********************** was extremely kind and went above and beyond to make sure that I was able to get the vehicle I wanted At the price I could afford. When I was displeased with an accessory that was installed from the factory he went out of his way to make sure that I was not charged and that I remained happy with my new purchase! They made my hour each way drive well worth it as the dealers closer to me would not honor the price that Tampa Honda would! I strongly suggest anyone looking to purchase a Honda make the trip to Tampa Honda As I know firsthand they will make it worth your while!Review fromMarquis R

1 starI was sold a car with known airbag deployment and mechanical issues that were not disclosed to me prior to purchase. I was not offered the carfax report until after the sale was completed, and when I brought the car in for the first noise issue, the dealer discovered several issues with the vehicle that I was never informed about.Despite my attempts to contact the dealer and seek a resolution, I have been given the runaround for months. I was refused a buyer's remorse refund, and when I took the car in for service due to safety concerns, I was told that I would have to pay for damage to the vehicle that was not caused by any physical damage but rather due to missing parts inside the car. The missing parts were deemed to have been missing prior to my purchase of the vehicle.I feel that it was extremely dangerous for the dealer to allow me to drive off the lot without a thorough service check, and I am disappointed that the dealer has yet to reach out to me or respond to my attempts to contact them. I no longer feel safe driving the car, and I am concerned about the safety of other drivers on the road.Review fromGina B

The service department refused to service a nail in my tire and I was pretty much told to leave and on my way home my tire completely blew out while driving.Tampa Honda

This guest was invited to drop off her vehicle for the day (she did not have an appointment) so that we could finish with our guests with appointments. She said that she would "drop off" the vehicle but needed it back within an hour. We let her know that with the appointment schedule that we had she would have to be "worked in". She DECLINED to drop off the vehicle that day and we scheduled an appointment for 2 day later.
