Bought a used ford expedition for 22,000 with a 7k down payment and somehow im financing 26,500 due to gap insurance and “warranties”. Sounds like theyre stealing my money to me. Not to mention my payment isnt even what we signed on, and the car didnt come with floor mats, had multiple small broken parts inside the car i was able to fix myself. Really disappointed. Avoid this dealership

I'm sorry that you feel this way about your experience with us. When reviewing your deal, all warranties purchased, total financed, and your monthly payment are all listed on your buyer's order, complete with your signatures, agreeing to those terms. Everything was done correctly, but you purchased a 2016 used vehicle "as is." As much as we'd like, a pre-owed vehicle isn't always as cared for as a new car would be and is rarely in pristine condition. That being said, if you need further explanation of your buyer's order, I encourage you to make an appointment to come back in to meet with your finance manager, who will be able to answer any further questions concerning your contract.M. This Dealership is aware that its a 2016 and not perfect then why am I being sold warranties as if it were a new vehicle. Im not even concerned about the condition of the car anymore. I wanna know why Im financing $26,000 after a $7000 down payment on a $22,000 car you guys are scamming me.M. A.

Not to mention, none of this is disclosed, and they just point where to sign your name and initial. If this was gone over, I wouldve never bought the vehicle in the first place.Toyota of Tampa Bay

I encourage you to review your buyer's order, as everything is itemized within. The warranties are offered in order to help protect you and the vehicle should unfortunate things arise in the future. I would be happy to print out your warranties for you, if you'd like, so that you can see the benefits of what you purchased.Review fromChris

I had several repairs jobs done at Toyota of Tampa Bay averaging over $2,500 each time I bring my vehicle in. I recently purchased a re-built engine after several repairs have been performed from the advice of the service advisor of a Mr. ***** ****** at Toyota of Tampa Bay which they provide me with a 1-year warranty on all parts and labor and keep in mind I had previous repairs done to the vehicle 1-2 years prior. After one year and 4 months later, I started to hear a chirping sound from the newly re-built engine so I bring the vehicle in for services and later that day I received a video of all the repairs the vehicle needs including another re-built engine (10k+) because the one I purchased from Toyota of Tampa Bay was showing (video) the engine had a slow leak and per Mr. ***** ****** the leak has been occurring from sometime. I asked are they going to honor the warranty and repair the engine. He stated to me his Service Manager; ****** ****** would NOT honor the warranty after services repairs and money has been spent to repair the vehicle amounting over $20k in the last 3-4 years because the vehicle went past the warranty by 4 months although the engine has been leaking for some time it could've been covered. Now they want additional $10k for another re-built engine which they would provide again. I do believe that Toyota of Tampa Bay provided a defective engine and provided defective parts, and their labor is garbage too because those repairs. I'm seeking legation against Toyota of Tampa Bay. They do NOT stand by their work, and they don't provide good service by honoring the warranty they provided. This is a fraudulent company, and I would avoid them at all costs. This is a problem they can easily fix especially after so much money has been spent with this company it would be the right thing to do. They have no ******* or concussion regarding their customers.Toyota of Tampa Bay

I'm sorry to hear that you had a less than stellar experience with us and the warranty of your re-built engine. As much as we wish we could predict the longevity of a part or repair, we simply cannot, due to the multitude of variables to consider. That being said, we have reviewed your concerns and are currently addressing them.Chris

The issue has been resolved, and they honored their warranty, and I appreciate the time and effort to resolve my issue, and everyone was courtesy during the repair process. Now Toyota of Tampa Bay is a company that can be trusted, and you will know they provide great customer service. Mr. Derrick H the service rep. finished the job without issue.Review fromvivianyi p

1 starHonestly If there was a 0 star review option I would select it. If you are looking at the low review and think the low reviews are lying about their unethical and predatory sales practice believe me, they are not lying. If you do not understand how the process work or are a female and do not have a male next to you with knowledge of buying cars, They will lie to you so convincingly you will sign the contract and when you find out they are lying, not only will they not cancel the contract but they will tell you , well you signed the contract, best we can do is negotiate it so we screw you over a little less. If at all possible, just do not come here, if you come here, do not let them tell you ****, if they tell you something and you are not familiar with it, don't sign anything, walk out confirm it first with proof then come back. They will rob you blind and then pretend they are doing you a favor. They have no ethics, no morals, they are through and through exactly what you would imagine a car salesmen and car dealership to be. BEWARE.

Here is to report predatory sales tactics, deceptive cost and request refund of Illegal add--on Toyota Advantage program which I paid $2700 for( not accounted in the contract) : Toyota Of Tampa Bay charged me for add-ons I didn't agree to, or falsely telling me that I have no choice but to purchase Toyota Advantage Program(useless warranty program) for $2700 which the dealer forced me to electronically sign, however it does not even list in the contract. Program Terms of Toyota of Tampa Bay Advantage have no price information on the agreement.Additionally, in the contract, the predelivery service charge of $1198 does not include any descriptive line items.Toyota of Tampa Bay misadvertised the description of vehicle. On Carguru on July 26th,2024, it described the interior of the vehicle as red leather, however I received the black interior. On the same day, I complained about the discrepancy and requested the correction. However, Toyota of Tampabay refused to correct it, blaming me for already signing the contract an hour ago. In summary, Toyota of Tampa Bay 1.used high-pressure, predatory sales tactics as soon as I walked into the door, held me there over 5 hours, chased me outside begging when I tried to leave. 2. Falsely advertised the description of vehicle 3.Discrepancy in total price of vehicle(Contract price$30880.19 another document 30842.87)4. Deceptive add-on mandatory warranty program fee which is not even listed in the contract($2700)5. Discrepancy in sales tax (contract $1748.26, MOTOR VEHICLE TITLE REASSIGNMENT SUPPLEMENT $2316.18 ) Please refund me $2700 Toyota Advantage ProgramToyota of Tampa Bay

I walked in to Toyota of Tampa bay with my 23 year old son after he totaled his 2016 ****** ******* fleeing from Hurricane Milton. We had been shopping around at smaller used car dealerships and very discouraged felt that we would have better options at an actual ****** dealership. Unfortunately we disclosed that we had $7K to use as a down payment from the insurance company and a little left over from FAFSA college money. They tried to sell him a new ******* and at that point unfortunately my son disclosed that he could not afford more than $200/mo. At this they showed us 2 used cars; a *** that was beautiful and a Honda Civic. I asked if these were the only 2 used cars on the lot and could they show me used cars in the 10k price range? I also asked the prices of the 2 cars shown to us and all he would say is that they would make it would in our budget. So we chose the *** only to find out that they showed us the wrong *** as they bring out a very small not very solid ***. I got upset and prepped to leave. Then they bring out a very nice Hybrid **** ****** which we accepted. My son was happy with the hybrid for the environment and was under personal duress as he was missing appointments for his college internship. When I went to work the next day my male co-workers told me that a 2018 Hybrid **** ****** IS NOT worth 18K. So 18K minus the 7K down payment = financing $200/mo. When we looked up the value of the car he purchased it was worth 11K. They stole our down payment and we basically just financed the car, They stole 7K from a college student and a single Mom. After my co-workers alerted me to this I went on the Toyota of Tampa Bay website (which admittedly I should have done before I first walked through the doors) and found a 2018 **** ******; although not Hybrid, it was listed for just under 11K. There were also other used cars on their website could have been shown to us upon our request. We only ask that our car be assessed and the loan be rewritten.Toyota of Tampa Bay

The customer's deal is finalized and fully funded. They are more than welcome to refinance with their lienholder or trade the car back in, if they would like. The dealership did not take advantage and even lost money on this deal in order to assist. In the end, they agreed to the terms of a legally-binding contract which, unfortunately, cannot be rewritten.Review fromHannah B
