whoever worked on my car that made my battery stall out and force me to drive to an Autozone to change it out and refused to take the blame... You left your cigarette butt inside my hood. I will never return to this dealership again. The guy spilled fluid on my engine during a routine maintenance visit. I got a phone call letting me know if I smell any chemical fumes that it was an accident and they cleaned it up. Yet if it’s clean, why should I smell any chemicals? As a concerned mother, I requested info on said chemicals so I could do my own research and it was never disclosed to me. It’s a shame because my car is paid off and I was looking forward to upgrading this year. Everyone in my Toyota community will also not be returning. It is unsafe and unsatisfactory. Btw - The headlight restoration that caused all of this issue to begin with, was supposed to be covered under one year warranty, but due to the terrible experience I had a this location I will not be returning, and guess what… my headlights are back to a lovely yellow tint, which means they’re products that I paid over $150 for does not work.

I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience. Here's a structured way to write your review to ensure it covers all the necessary details clearly and effectively: --- **Review for Toyota Tampa Fletcher Avenue:** I had a horrendous experience with Toyota Tampa on Fletcher Avenue. After six weeks of back and forth, they only managed to find one finance company. I was informed that I had to put $2500 down to secure the car. Later, they told me the financing fell through. Despite this, they refused to refund my down payment. They used excuses like the accountant and the general manager being unavailable. This is typical car dealership behavior, but it’s unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this dealership. Their customer service is appalling, and they don’t follow through on their commitments. Its true what they say about car salesman and these people are pro’s at their craft but not in a good way ---Toyota of Tampa Bay Response

**********************,
I hope this finds you well. It is my understanding that a recent change of employment caused the bank to pull out their funding. We, of course, want for deals to go through and are always saddened when unfortunate situations arise. That being said, your down payment was paid via your credit card, and no one was available over the weekend to issue a refund. Even if they were, banks do not conduct business on Saturday evenings nor Sunday, which is obviously out of our control. Please be advised that the request is being processed today, Monday, June 17th, 2024, and the $2,500 refund will be returned to the credit card used for the original transaction, but you will have to contact your financial institution to find out their length of process for posting refunds back onto your card.

I was in an accident on May 28th and my Prius was “totaled”. I have had a Toyota for the last 20 years. I am a widow. I went to your dealership because I know that Seth ******** is a good and honest man and he would help me find a good and fair deal. I agreed on a new 2024 Rav4 for $36,333 “out the door”. I put $20,000 down and was going to put the remaining $16,333 on a loan. The payments quoted me was $288 (+-) per month for 72 months. Seth offered the added (bundle) warranties which I declined. Then I went to the finance agent Jose ******. First of all, I had a little trouble understanding his broken English and he talked fast. He showed me some of those warranties and I repeated I didn’t want the bundle warranties. I noticed the monthly payment had gone from $288+ to $365+ and he said that was because when they figured my deal that it was a “glitch” in the system and that it had mistakenly been figured on a 2% interest (no lender is going to do 2% these days). He repeated this lie to Seth. I noticed that it looked like I was borrowing $22,000+ and Seth and I were both told that was the amount with interest. There was so many papers to sign (as you are aware) and I kept signing. When I got home and looked closer I had so many questions! I called Seth and we made an appointment to go over things with a different Finance person. I drove back there today (an hour drive) to find out that the finance guy had added $6000 of extra warranties that I never consciously agreed to!! This is not a very good way to do business!! Buyer beware! Just because you are quoted a deal doesn't mean the sneaky finance guy is going to honor it.Review from Nichole C

My experience with Toyota of Tampa Bay, DON'T!!! I planned to purchase a vehicle from the dealership and drove for an hour plus in rush hour traffic to discover they sold it the night before! WTH I was in communication with the dealer rep a mere 2 minutes before getting my handicapped wife and her wheelchair. She stated the vehicle was in stock. We sat in rush hour traffic for OVER AN HOUR!! How freakin' inconsiderate!! I am not blaming the actual salesperson, he was very pleasant and apologetic. Anyone that's a caretaker would truly understand what it takes to travel with a person with limited abilities. YOU SORRY SOBs NEED TO DO BETTER!!!Review from Richard Q

If you want to buy a vehicle run as fast as you can from Toyota of Tampa Bay dealership. I purchased a new Toyota Tacoma Pickup with cash and a Prius trade in I was moved to Nidal in Finance. Even though I said NO to every warranty he tried to shove down my throat he wouldn't let up. He brought in another guy to try and convince me to purchase warranty items. 20 minutes later I asked them what part of NO don't you get? I am a retired businessman and I understand you make a lot of money off these extra warranty items you convince customers to buy but I am not interested. The car I traded in I own but it is not in my name and I don't have the title with me, (I had no plans on buying a truck that day nor trading in my Prius) I just went to window shop vehicles. The Sales rep, the Sales Mgr, Nidal all tell me that is no problem which I though was odd. They tell me they don't need the original Minnesota title because they are going to title the Prius trade-in here in Florida. I even offered to bring the title down the next day and they said do not worry. They tell me all the paperwork I signed covers everything. That was a lie. Nidal on 11-30-23 forgot to have me sign 2 additional papers AND they DID need the Title and they DID need my friends Driver's License that the Prius was registered to. Something I assumed all along. It gets worse. 2 months, 28 days later I get NON STOP phone calls and text messages all day long from Nidal along with non stop text messages from Kelly in the Finance Dept. They are all of a sudden telling me I need to overnight the Prius title, I need to sign the two papers Nidal forgot to give me on 11-30-23 and if I don't Nidal said they will have a tow truck come and tow my truck away. Are you kidding me? They have my $30,000 cash and $15,000 trade in Prius in hand and this Nidal guy in Finance threatens me with sending a tow truck to steal my truck I fully paid for? I have his voice mail and am saving his voice mail.Review from Nelson E
