Splash Cleaner LLC has a nested subscription in the sale of a household cleaner that does not work. I was able to get a refund for the cleaner, but I was not aware that an additional $39.95 was being withdrawn from my debit card for months as it eas a familiar dollar amount. I complained to Splash that I needed the additional charges refunded as well. I was then told the $39.95 per month was being taken by another entity: Horizon Direct. Neither Splash Cleaner LLC nor Horizon Direct is found when searching for an owner. This is a scam on two levels: 1) The product does not work; and 2) the subscription requirement is not clearly delineated when purchasing it. The phone number for Horizon Direct is never answered ************. The website to find and cancel the subscription does not work. I would love an investigation into these two fraudulent businesses. I am owed $239.70 to date; but if I cant reach them, I am left with only the ability to cancel my bank account. Please advise if you are able to assist or refer me to another source that can assist with the return of my money and the cancellation of a subscription I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. I did not know I somehow signed up for a subscription. I ordered once to try it. I realized the issue and tried to cancel but the email was not working. I tried again successfully. But, they "made a mistake" and sent me more and charged me again AFTER I cancelled. They confirmed this in writing. The product doesn't work and now they want me to pay to ship it back and pay a restocking fee. They finally agreed not to charge the restocking fee. I don't think I should have to pay to return a product that I cancelled. They can pay for it and should give me a full refund. This seems to be illegal in my viewpoint. I purchased Splash Spray on Marh 2, 2025 and received the product on March 17, 2025. I tried using this product to clean a pan with baked on grease as shown in the advertisement. I followed the directions and added a tablet to the water in the provided spray bottle and sprayed it on the pan. I waited several hours and there was no change to the pan. I wrote to splash spray on March 19, 2025 and received the following response: I'm sorry to learn that the product didn't meet your expectations in cleaning your pan. It's worth noting that water volume can vary in different locations, and sometimes, adjusting the amount of water used might enhance the cleaning ********** may try the following steps:1. Adjust the water amount according to your specific water volume to create a thicker solution.2. Allow the product to sit for a little longer, ideally around ***** minutes, especially if you're dealing with tougher stains.3. Consider adding 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar to the water before placing the tablet. This can help prepare the water for proper foaming, enhancing the cleaning effectiveness and aiding in stain removal. If, despite numerous attempts, you are still not seeing any results, kindly let us know. Tried adding another tablet and 2-TBSP of white vinegar then spayed it on the pan and waited 20 minutes with no effect. I tried this several times with no effect. I placed an order the end of February and was issued a tracking number for *** delivery. On February 10, I placed an order for Splashfoam Products. I first clicked on the toilet cleaner, as that was the product I was wanting to try. As I clicked through the order process, I clicked on the Splashfoam Spray cleaner to add to my order. It gave me several options and I chose the cleaner with spray bottle. After I had put in all my payment details, the site offered the washing machine cleaner. I clicked on it to see about the product, and the website came back saying thank you for your order. I was charged $55.78 for the 3 different cleaning products. When my package arrived, I had 3 packages of tablets, no toilet cleaner and no washing machine cleaner. I wrote to the company. No response, so I called. Customer rep **** told me I did not order 3 products. She told me the order was for 3 packs of cleaning tablets and she couldn't do anything about it. I asked her to please send the missing products and a shipping label so I could return the 2 extra tablet packs. She said I could return the products, minus shipping and minus a restocking fee. This is unacceptable. She also told me that because their computer system was not working correctly, once I sent the product back, I would have to call so they would know to process my refund. I have been writing but no one there will take ownership to send the missing items. They insist I placed an order for 3 of the same items at 3 different prices ($19.95, $17.00 and $9.99). I did not even get to review my order once I clicked on the last product. At this point, I want a full refund. I purchased this product ($26.52) about a month ago because I was very impressed with the visual advertising of it's effectiveness. Upon my initial use following application instructions it failed miserably. After three tries it was clear to me that this is a sham operation. I emailed the product's office only to get a brunch of electronic "run arounds" to avoid a refund. After the final threat to do what I am now doing, they refund 50 percent minus what they charged for postage. Nevermind the postage I paid to return the product.
