    Trying to cancel. Keeps showing up in billing on my monthly **** bill. Just want it cancelled!

    I ordered a single background check . Just one on myself. I only wanted the single 1.00 fee. My bank was then charged. A ***** hold was put on my account. I talked to my bank and they advised to get a new debit card. The transaction already went through They have no way of cancelling on their website. I called multiple times just to be on hold. I finally spoke to someone today they canceled the account, but are still charging me. I was also told by the person I talked to. "Having a cancel button on their website was experimental" The email receipt only said .99 cents. There was no receipt or indication that they were charging or holding *****. This company has some really shady things going on since all the complaints are the same.

    Our service begins with a $1.00 trial period, which allows for unlimited report searches. We do not offer single-search or single-report purchases. If the trial is not cancelled, users are automatically enrolled in the monthly membership.

    Please note that the transaction you witnessed began as a pre-authorization hold. By proceeding through the checkout process, you consented to terms indicating automatic enrollment in our monthly membership if not canceled before the trial period expires. As a result, a pre-authorization hold of $35.13 was placed on your account at that time, and was billed after the trial.

    After reviewing your account, it appears it has already been cancelled as of 7/28/2025 by our phone representative. We apologize for the difficulties you had in attempting to cancel your account. However, please rest assured that no further billing will occur.

    Since October 23, 2024, we have been, unbeknownst to us, paying for a subscription at 6.99 plus ***** per month. We signed for a 99 cents search and had no idea about any other fee commitments. We paid approximately $370 dollars for a misleading offer.

    This company disguised themselves under another company called Truth Finder. I paid $.99 for one search and they ended up charging me over $35. I want a refund because regardless of what name you put in to search the the results would give you a completely different name and results. It didnt matter what name you said you still got the same results. I am asking for a refund.

    They over charge and under deliver. When I canceled the plan, membership, account, etc. they kept billing me its way more than the advertised amount and then continuous even after canceling and not using any of the services.

    I purchased a .99 cent background check from information.com. I was not told I was also signing up for a recurring monthly payment. I did not notice until I was already charged.

    I paid for a .99 cent search. Then was charged another 6.99. Then today 7-22-25 charged another *****. In less than 4 days Information.com has charge over $40. That is poor practice on company practices. The results were inaccurate. I did not authorize to be enrolled in the full package at ***** simply the one time .99. All disclosures and charges should be transparent. The website also doesnt give you the option to cancel the subscription in the settings. Highly disappoints. Email on file is *********************** and I used my ****** to pay for the original purchase of $0.99 attatch to a card that ends in 5429. I have emailed the contact email located on the website to cancel my membership and hopefully just delete the account. I'd like to see the $***** back too. Can't locate any of the charges on the website either in Billing history. Not very transparent if you want to keep clients.

    I subscribed to Information.com and have made multiple attempts to cancel my subscription. I followed all instructions listed on their website and emailed support at *********************** requesting cancellation. I received only an automated response stating that they are experiencing high volume and asking me to call their support line.I called and/or emailed again, but the subscription was still not canceled, and there is no visible cancel option in the account dashboard. This seems to be a pattern, as other users have reported similar difficulty.I am requesting immediate cancellation of my subscription and confirmation in writing that no further charges will be made to my account. If I am charged again, I will initiate a chargeback through my financial ******************* practices appear to intentionally delay or obstruct subscription cancellation, which I believe may be deceptive or predatory.
