I signed up for the 99 cent trial that was supposed to be canceled within so many days and I wouldn't be charged however I was immediately charged at the $35.13 that is the I guess monthly subscription charge I didn't even get the opportunity to cancel said trial and nor was I ever charged ************************************************ the 3513 and I've been trying to get the money back from them and I cannot get a hold of anyone there and they're not respondingBusiness Response

After selecting the trial period and seeing if it would work for myself, it didn't. I used it a couple times in the trial, but canceled it since I didn't see myself continue using it. I haven't logged in or even been to the site since I thought it had been canceled, and it told me "subscription canceled". Didn't think any more past that until I saw a charge to my card on the 4th of this month for $35.13 for the last 3 months on the 4th. I would like to see the amount returned to me because the site made it seem that I had unsubscribed from the list.Business Response

My complaint is for information.com. I just realized that theyve been charging my ****** account for ***** since November 24. Which at the initial time I was charged $.99 for a single report that I did in fact, authorize. But unknowingly they also signed me up for a monthly subscription. For ***** every month that I have never authorized. This is literally the kind of scum of the Earth scam that needs to be put to an end. This started 12/29/2024 with a trail for $0.99, the next charge same day was for $6.99, I did not sign up for this service, I'm sorry I did not check for a while again, not thinking I have a problem. From then on they have charged me $29.99 and $6.99 every month till I canceled them beginning of July and they refunded July 6th $6.99 and $.99, then on July 8th $6.99 Then promptly started to charge my account July 11th, for $35.13, August 1, $6.99 and then August 3, $29.99...Who are these people but a bunch of crooks it took forever to get this cancelled, they are not easy to find and they just keep on charging not honering my cancellation.Business Response

I went on information.com to download a *** of my background check. I was told that it was only a $0.99 charge to retrieve the *** download. After I put in my card information, and pressed submit, I saw the following three charges on my transaction list: 1. $1.00 2. $6.99 3. $35.13 When I went back to my email for account specifics, the billing details as mentioned are as followed: Youve signed up for our promotional package which gives you 5 days of unlimited access for $0.99! If you love our service, simply do nothing after your trial period ends, your membership will automatically renew every 30 days at the discounted rate of $35.13. You can cancel your subscription, hassle-free, by calling our US-based customer service center at **************, available Mon-Fri 8am-5pm EST.The promotional trial period has NOT ended for *** purchased my background check report on 8/2/25 (today). I have emailed the company three times at *********************** to cancel my account and to refund me the charges, and the only response that I have received was Thank you for contacting Information.com. We have received your message and will gladly assist you.We are currently experiencing higher than normal volume. If you need immediate assistance, please give us a call at ************** for further assistance.I have also reported the charges as a scam through my bank. I ordered a single background check . Just one on myself. I only wanted the single 1.00 fee. My bank was then charged. A ***** hold was put on my account. I talked to my bank and they advised to get a new debit card. The transaction already went through They have no way of cancelling on their website. I called multiple times just to be on hold. I finally spoke to someone today they canceled the account, but are still charging me. I was also told by the person I talked to. "Having a cancel button on their website was experimental" The email receipt only said .99 cents. There was no receipt or indication that they were charging or holding *****. This company has some really shady things going on since all the complaints are the same.Business Response
