    I contacted Roof Repairs Only last year when we first moved into our home. ***************** (owner) came by to inspect our roof and said we didn't have any issues. He didn't charge us for the service. Last November 2022 we spotted a leak from our office room. We contacted *** because we felt that he was honest and would be fair. ************** inspected where the leak was coming from. I was worried that it would get worse over time and wanted it repaired in a timely fashion. Unfortunately ************** said that he was 5 to 6 weeks out. We signed a contract 11/22 of $6,720, 10 percent deposit $672.00 we had to pay to get on the schedule. ************** cashed our deposit 11/29/22. A week later the leak spot was worse so I contacted the company. The secretary said that we would be put on the schedule sometime in January or later. I had a conversation with ************** over the telephone and he said that he would work something regarding the deposit. I informed the company via email that we hired another company to do the repairs and advised them they this company was able to come out months before Roof Repair can do the repairs. ************** was not happy and he let me know in an email. I advised him that if he didn't refund most of my deposit I was going to give him a bad review about professionalism. He then threatened that there will be other options (whatever that meant) if I preceded to do that which I wrote a review on ******* He then stated in his email that we are to come to his office and disgust a refund other than that he will no longer communicate with us. We didn't go with another company because of the price we went because we needed our roof repair done ASAP and this other company did just that. If ************** thinks that it was okay to take $670.00 because he came out just to do an estimate and write up an invoice. His company does that for free everyday. He didn't order supplies, he didn't hire a crew to come out so hence it cost him nothing. I am unable to upload contract check #****.

    Our response to Ms. ******* complaint is, as we offered her in our e-mail of 12/07/2022, of which she included a copy. Come into our office we will discuss returning a portion of the deposit. Our contract states clearly is is non-refundable. 

    We have included a copy of her review from her community news letter of **************. We have a Rotarian friend who lives in the community, she called ** to tell ** that this individual stated things about our company that did not represent how we have done business over the past 32 years. With in this condemnation of our company, there is at least one bold lie, we have not stolen anything from them.  *****************;

    I am rejecting this response because:  I was reluctant to believe the business would act in good faith given the brief discussions that I had with the representative by phone as well as email. They were threatening and intimidating me. I was afraid to meet with them at their office after our exchange. We expect a full refund. They never put us on a schedule, our leak issue was getting worse as time went by.  I contacted the secretary first week in December 2022 and she stated it would be well after the new year for our repair to be scheduled.  That was unacceptable and we hired another and the repair was completed in a timely fashion to our satisfaction.

    I am rejecting this response because: I have not heard from Roof Repairs Only.  Advise the owner ************** that I will be on every social media page to explain my complaint with his company.   I will go to *****'s list and every site available to make sure no one feels prey of his crooked business.  He did email us in a threatened, intimidating manner to come to his office to "see" about a possible refund.  We are two women and felt threatened and scared.  Advise ************** that he may have stole our money but he will lose his business because I will continue to make sure other customers do not suffer the consequences that we did.
