I hired Long **** moving and storage for a move from ***** to ******* on July 7-8th 2024. I booked the reservation on Friday May 24, 2024. After consideration of the move over the holiday weekend I called them on Tuesday morning to cancel my reservation and requested my deposit of $1480 back. I spoke to the rude unprofessional customer service manager who said I was not entitled to my deposit back. Im told h that according to *** regulations I was within the allocated time period. He said they dont go by *** rules and they have their own rules. I told him that Sundays are not counted not are federal holidays and he told me this did not apply to him and that Sundays was in fact counted as a workday. He refused to refund my deposit. In addition I was never informed about the cancellation policy at the time I signed the contract. It was never discussed with me. So I had to look it up In my contract. And then I did further research on my on on the *** website to confirm I was within my rights of getting my deposit back. The customer service manager whom He claims to be without providing me his name simply stated he was not going to refund and the rudest most unprofessional person Ive ever spoken with.

I chose Long Haul as a broker based on a promise they could move me in the AM on 6/10/2024. I paid a deposit via debit card online.I called on the morning of 6/10/2924 and was told they would arrive between 9-1:00 pm and the driver would call when he was 30 min away. I placed four more calls. Recvd 4 different answers and arrival times. Finally a dispatcher told me that they would arrive 30 hours later. I have lost hotels fees, rental fees. I was told by the dispatcher they had no one in the area? It was a lie?I requested a refund b/c I do not trust this broker. I was told I could cancel but no refund?Long haul did not incur an expense I did!I do not trust them. I do not trust them moving my belongings.I paid $962.15 and I was not told the fee was non-refundable.I want a refund. When I asked, the customer service rep hung up the phone. They wxx as my only commissions and sales.I want my money back.*****************, ************.

We have filed a formal complaint with the ************************ in *********************** so that they are aware of Long Haul Movings Disreputable Business Practices. Long Haul Moving is a broker for moving companies. They state We will assign the optimum number of highly trained movers to your relocation with the right tools and resources to load and transport your belongings without risk of damage. Our commitment to all of our clients is to deliver outstanding service - no exceptions, no apologies. Your belongings will be delivered in perfect condition. We had our things delivered 26 business days after the delivery date, several of our things were missing, and others were badly damaged. They assume no responsibility for hiring the carrier and have cut ties with them. The carrier / moving company doesn't answer any phone calls or emails. This was the worst experience we have ever had with a moving company and Long Haul Moving assumes no responsibility. They should either take responsibility or make sure that things are set right by the carrier. Our job number was *******. We signed a contract with them on 12/26/23. Our things were picked up on 1/3/24 and finally delivered on 2/16/24. Several items were missing and others badly damaged.

900 sqft of space to move a 1 bed apt from **********, ca to ******, Tx on Sunday 3/17/24 with $1200 deposit, $775 at pickup and $775 at delivery. My link for my contract has expired when I try to click on it. I was provided an estimate and receipt of deposit. The movers arrived at 9:15am 3/17/24 and advised they do not have the space to fit 900 sqft, that only 400sqft was requested on their form with long haul. I tried reaching out to long haul by phone 6 times on Sunday each time leaving a voicemail to call me immediately. ******************* was my original contact and never replied to my calls or texts. The movers (USsafemoving) left with no services provided due to them not having the space to move my items. ***** from US safe moving called me to advise that they also could no get in contact with Long Haul either. I finally received a call from a male at long haul Sunday at 12:23pm, I explained that the movers (us safe moving) said long haul quoted them 400 sqft when my contract was for 900sqft and that us safe did not have the room to do the 900sqft. I asked why the quote was inaccurate to what they gave ******* said he didnt do the quote. I gave a very detailed list of my items and offered to send pictures as well, but ***** said it was not needed. When I asked for a refund since they mis quoted the sqft, he denied it and refused to send me the contract. He said he would not give me the refund of deposit even though they never moved my items then hung up. ***** assured me when I placed my call that if there were any issues, there wouldnt be a problem with a refund of the deposit. (Recorded and being sent to multiple agencies) Please send me the contract since I no longer have access to the link you originally sent. So many complaints on how they miscalculate footage. For being a Veteran owned business, they are dishonest and Im continuing to go up the chain. Not the last youll hear from me!Who you spoke with :************************ Haul Moving ************ is such a scam! Do not utilize them.

On 9/15/2023, I called Long Haul Moving and Storage to obtain a quote for a cross country move that I was planning for 2024. Their quote of $2,825.00 was the primary reason I was interested in booking with them. During the phone call, I paid a $1,188.75 deposit and was asked to click on an emailed link to sign a form, but without a verbal discussion or sufficient time to review key policies (e.g., refund policy). Given that I did not have an exact move date, the representative said he would just insert November 2023 through March 2024 as a window. I was not made aware of the implications on scheduling and refunds based on that window. On 1/4/2024, I was contacted via phone by the company, given a new, much pricier estimate, asked to provide an additional $1,400.00, and directed to click on another emailed link to sign. Again, there was no verbal discussion of important aspects of what I was signing including the deposit refund policy. On 2/3/2024, I contacted the company via email to cancel and requested a refund of my deposit. According to company billing, no refund is being offered because they have already reserved the truck, fuel, and crew. Billing indicated that they reserved this move in advance because I had indicated a window of November through March, but this was a window established by the representative, not by me. I am requesting a refund of $2,459.75 (deposit minus 5% cancellation fee). The company artificially underestimated their original quote to entice me into booking with them, rushed me through the process of signing documents without at least a verbal discussion of key policies, and reserved a truck, crew, and fuel too soon based on dates they decided upon. I requested a cancellation 8 weeks prior to my move; had the company not reserved the move based on their own time frame rather than one I stated, the money for a refund would be available.

I signed a contract with Long Haul Moving and Storage in December for a move across country from ******* to ******. On Jan 11 my stuff was picked up (only after the contract was redid and the money due increased ) I initially spoke to WIll when setting this up. The price was 3995 and the move would take no more than 5- 7 business days. The drivers increased the price and were from Arena *** Lines a company I did not hire. They wrote on the contract earliest delivery date of 1/13/2024. Today is 2/6/2024 and I have had three different delivery windows. All 3 have caused me to miss work etc and no one showed. Today they changed it for the third time. We have had to spend money we did not have to live. We have no bed, no work clothes, No computer, no desk, no detailing equipment all of our belongings are on a truck somewhere. My pets do not have their belongings either. I would have never signed a contract if I knew this was gonna take a month. I was told different. I do not know how they took a job when they keep telling me they have no one to drive it to the west coast . I am at a loss. I want my money back and my stuff delivered asap. They have iied to me to get the contract and they continue to increase the money owed. I am sick . I can not sleep. I am depressed. My life is a shambles . Based on complaints already filed with the BBB against Long Haul Moving and Storage (****), this moving broker seemingly thrives on employing the classic fraudulent business practice of bait and switch, as clearly shown below. The bait and switch involves: (i) at the front end, a major underestimate of cubic footage ("cf.") to get a customer's business, followed by (ii) at the back end, a massive upcharge by the carrier. On or about 11 December 2023, I spoke with ******* at **** about my upcoming move from Georgia to *******, during which call I provided a very precise inventory of the 32 or so items I was moving. ******* then sent to me a Binding Estimate (what an oxymoron!) that estimated my inventory to require 364 cf., or **** lbs., which resulted in a Total Estimate Price of $2498. On 2 January ****, I spoke with someone in ****'s Customer Support (yet another oxymoron!) to finalize my inventory and was told that all was good to go with no change in cf.On 4 January, upon a late arrival, LMHSs moving company, Colony Moving ********* **** out of ************** (Colony), immediately told me that ****'s Binding Estimate cf. was way off -- even before seeing all of my property or comparing it to the agreed-upon inventory. Colony ended up charging me an additional 236 cf., (an additional ****%!), resulting in an additional cost of $1180 (an increase of ****%!) without any explanation re deviations from my specific inventory agreed with ****. Before I allowed Colony to load any of my property, I complained about this highway robbery to the **** Customer ********************* and he threatened me that if I were to send Colony away, I would NOT get back the $1181 deposit I had foolishly paid ****. This was a clear breach of the so-called Binding Estimate, which stated that I would be charged an additional amount only for new items added to my inventory or new cf. added to my inventory. Also, LMHSs cf. gross underestimate was fraud, plain and simple.

On January 3rd, **** I booked with Long Haul ********************************************* to move my belongings. I only had some boxes and plastic containers (less than 45). No furniture. The guy I talked told me it would be $1836.00. I had to send $700.00, the day of the pickup $658.00 and upon delivered the remaining $658.00. And if I decided it to but a sofa, I had enough room. They called me days before the arrival to remind me about the $658.00 I had to pay on the pickup. They told me I could pay cash, credit card, money order or debit card. I also asked the lady for 2 boxes because I had some stuff unpacked, not much. They told me it will cost me $15.00 each. On January 10th and 11th, a lady called to letting me know I had space for 90 boxes and I told her again I had less than 45 boxes/plastic containers maybe 2 or 3 more counting the extra boxes I requested. When the movers arrived (500movers), I thought it was Long Haul *********************************************, and the guy told me they don't know them. This gut was very rude. He told me, you paid upfront $700.00, the total is $2500.00, today you will pay $900.00 and $900.00 upon delivered, I told him, they told me $568.00 now and $568.00 then. He replied, this is what I have and if you don't pay the $900.00 today, we leave because I have things to do. I told him I have a budget, but I had to leave the next day, what am I supposed to do? This company is deceptive and full of lies. Today (01/19/****) I sent them an email because I haven't heard from them since I sent them a complaint. The lady told me I had 22 extra boxes, THAT'S NOT TRUE!!! This is RIDICULOUS and UNACCEPTABLE!!! I can see most of the complaint here are for the same reason, how this company still on business, I can't believe it!!! They want me to pay for the space I'm not using and they'll put another customer's things there and get paid for that same space twice. I WAS DECEIVED AND ROBBED!!!
