This company is incredibly dishonest. Besides telling me specifically on the phone that there are not a broker (they are), they also drastically underestimated how much space I needed. I did a video walkthrough with an agent when scheduling my move, and was told all of my things I planned on taking would fit in x space. Between then and I my move, I got rid of several things and actually had less stuff the day of my move. Well, surprise surprise! When the movers came, I was told that I had been misquoted and would need more space, costing an additional $1200. I had to leave things behind due to the cost. When I called to speak with customer service, I was told that all quotes on space were an estimate. In fact, I was told that because it is an estimate, I could quote you as 150 medium boxes fitting in a space that would only fit 30, because its just an estimate. This company deliberately underestimates how much space you will need, and has no problem admitting this dishonest business practice to customers; after you pay of course. This company lies to you, AND does nothing. They take half of the cost of your move. Book directly with the movers instead.

People who are giving a five star review to this company must have been transporting dirt. This company is The most Dishonest piece of c***I have ever encountered. They don't tell you that they are a broker and subcontract. There trucking out to a bunch of russians. This trucking company could give a rat's a** on how they handle your belongings. Our move started out at $3600 b****Then all of a sudden it became almost $7000. Because of their miscalculation. When I called to explain that the trucking company had 175 cubic feet less I was told to quit crying and I was lucky that I wasn't 175 feet over. It's an estimate, not definitive, they didn't care. We had so many things broken, it's just terrible. I an going to use social media to drive these pieces of garbage out of business.

Do not use this. Organization I spoke to a Perry and a David these guys are very dishonest. They kept my $3500 deposit. I signed a contract and then called them right back and said I will move my own stuff boxes 150 because I couldn’t afford the $8000 price tag. They never once said anything to me in three weeks until the day of the move. I had to move everything myself and they kept my deposit. I don’t know how this company stays in business they have a F rating of better business they just steal peoples money and they get away with it. I’m calling the news in West Palm and see if they’ll do something I gave them nine days to change the space on the truck. They never once called me back. I got emails, text messages and phone and pictures. To document everything disorganization is nothing but a bunch of pigs

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - We received an estimate to move our stuff across the country. It was the best price, so we decided to move forward with this company. We updated our inventory a couple times to try and make sure it was as accurate as possible. When movers arrived, the ******* told me they had things like a single dresser listed, when it shouldve been a double. The ******* told us they constantly have problems like this because the sales people dont ask the right questions in order to give the best estimate. We then had to pay an extra $1600 for the additional space we needed on the truck. We tried speaking with customer service about this and the gentleman was adamant that their team would have asked us the right questions, spoke over me, and was incredibly rude and not willing to work with us. Overall absolutely awful experience because the estimate we received was no where near what we actually had to pay and customer service is incredibly rude.

I moved from *******, ** to ******* in the summer of 2023.LHM&S represented themselves as the actual mover over the phone. Int he end they are a broker who sells a moving contract to the lowest bidder. The moving company that showed up demanded $4k more for the move because they brought a truck that too small. LHM&S did not communicate to them about the three updates over the 2 months that I had sent them with exact box, box size, and furniture accounts. When I complained, I could tell that the two men I had been dealing with for 2 months were not there anymore, and the manager of LHM&S said I should have shopped around and paid more. What did I expect from the lowest offer? A drive that takes 13 hours took 28 days since my belongings sat in a warehouse in a third state.Date of experience: June 02, 2023

This company is a scam, Fees and additional charges down to the day before they were delivered, items came broken, no follow-up for refunds as promised. Please do not use them or trust them with your household goods.

My elderly parents recently went through a nightmare dealing with Long Haul Moving & Storage, a West Palm Beach outfit that runs your typical “Bait & Switch” moving scheme. Based solely on a telephone call with my mother who suffers from dementia, Long Haul’s “professional” estimate was $5,000 for the move from Florida to New York. They portray themselves as legitimate movers but only in the fine print does it become clear they are merely “brokers” selling off the actual job to another random, disreputable swindler. Long Haul’s “Senior Relocation Specialist” who set the whole con job up – let’s just say he was deceptively vague and willfully underestimated the actual move. The ever-evolving cast of characters – ***, ********* and ***** – usually only returned phone calls when they were looking for money. Long Haul Moving & Storage sold the job to another company then held my parents belongings hostage until they paid an additional $8,300. That North Carolina company, as well as their independent truck driver, were NOT even authorized by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to transport household goods. The first company (broker) charged $626 for packing materials, then the second company (shipper) charged an additional $822 for packing materials. That’s essentially $1,448 for cardboard boxes and packing peanuts. There’s also double billed fuel charges and other bogus ****. Despite all the promises and rhetoric about ‘Professional Door to Door Service’ and ‘We treat your belongings like our own,’ there was no itemized inventory list during the move; not all the furniture was wrapped with quilted blankets; fragile items were haphazardly tossed in boxes; and the actual people doing the so-called move were randomly hired off Craigslist. I won’t even get into the stolen money and belongings… This entire ordeal has been incredibly stressful, not just physically and emotionally, but financially for my 80-something parents.

LHM&S IS A BROKER FIRM that hired this man ***** ******* ***** VIA GREAT AMERICAN VAN LINES out of NJ. He picked up my belonging on Dec 29th and has told me now 3 different times he will arrive and hasn't and will no longer take my calls. LHM&S that hired him also will not take my calls and he has all of my mothers belonging on his trailer everything she owns including family photos, medical supplies, clothes (she only packed a suitcase for the drive) nostalgia articles including wedding photos my father who just passed away NOV 21st and they don't seem to care at all in helping, they say they are calling GMVL and NEVER CALL ME BACK with a solution. I've contacted the Attorney General's' office, Elder abuse hotline and will be reporting the driver and them to the state police for grand theft.

If I could give zero stars I would. Best advice, stay as far away from this company as possible. They are crooks, full stop. They are NOT a moving company as advertised, but a moving broker, whatever that is. I could have found my own moving company, not paid these clowns over $2,200 for them to hook me up with some sub-par moving company. Besides the misrepresentation, they charged me $810 more after their initial charge of $1,400. I paid it because I was already roped in and didnt want to lose the $1,400. After that second $810 charge I was never able to get ahold of them again. Not when the moving company didnt show up the first time, the second time or when they were late the third time. The moving company ended up being 4 days late. I am happy to say that my credit card company found in my favor against the claim I filed against Long Haul Moving and I was credited back the $2,200+ they charged me. I did not file a claim against the actual moving company because technically they fulfilled their obligation, albeit 4 days late and many irreplaceable antique items broken upon delivery. Long Haul Moving (not even sure how they can use this name since they dont actually provide moving services) is a SCAM COMPANY. Save yourself the hassle and steer clear of this business.
