My wife and I (we live in ********) were on vacation in Florida where we both were introduced to the Holiday Lounge program. We though it would be a great idea to sign up for future vacations and deals. We have signed up for this program on 4/23/2024. To date we have been paying our monthly fee of $235.84, however we have not been able to book any vacations deals through them due to limited vacation spots and availability to book . Vacation pages are not what they explained and are 3 times more expensive than the actual websites themselves . I have called them on multiple occasions to cancel this membership and they refused indicating that we only had 3 days to cancel from the time we signed. We explained to them about not being able to use their service not to mention our decrease in income and still we are stuck paying for something we are unable to use.Initial Complaint

A radio station from ***** or Florida made an announcement saying that if I sent a text message to ***** with the name of a country that contained the letter "a" three times, I would win an all-expenses-paid trip, including two round-trip plane tickets and three nights at a hotel with everything covered. They called me on the night of Thursday, January 30, but I missed the call. They called me again on the afternoon of January 31, informing me that I had won. However, they said I only needed to pay $99 for the prize to be mine and that I had to attend a presentation at the ************* in ***********, ******** of those timeshare vacation talks. This is a scam. After reviewing the prize certificate, I found that they charge additional fees and provide terms and conditions that ultimately make you pay for what you supposedly won. I thought this was a gift from the radio station. I feel scammed both by the radio station and the people who contacted **** was given phone numbers by the people who called me. I called them multiple times until they finally answered and told me they would refund my money. One of the text messages I received says:"Gladiana Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 1:30 PM to 8:30 PM Phone Number: ********** ***************** ********** **************** Hours: 1 PM to 8 ************************* names are:********************* ************* GLOBAL BUSINESS GROUP FLORIDA RESORT EXCHANGE LLC Lodging They claim to be a company authorized and regulated by ****GOV.I want my $99 refunded and the prize I was promised. Request for Assistance to Cancel Timeshare Agreement with Holiday Lounge To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to formally request your assistance in resolving an issue with Holiday Lounge, a timeshare company. signed up 07/27/2024 paid 990. I entered into a timeshare contract under misleading circumstances and have been trying unsuccessfully to cancel the agreement for the past five months.Background:1.I was invited to what I believed was a promotional event offering free mini vacations.2.I repeatedly asked if we would be sold anything and was assured we would not.3.Upon arrival at the event (which lasted from 8 AM to 9 PM), it became apparent that this was a timeshare presentation.Despite expressing my concerns about my financial situation, lack of stable employment, and unwillingness to use my credit, I was pressured into signing a contract. Multiple representatives spoke with me and my boyfriend, employing high-pressure tactics that left us feeling interrogated and ********** the time, I felt trapped and unable to leave until I agreed to sign. I was misled into believing this package was a good deal despite my reservations.Post-Signing Issues:1.Shortly after, I lost my job and became homeless, further worsening my financial position.2.I contacted Holiday Lounge multiple times over five months to request a cancellation, only to be ignored or given conflicting information.3.Recently, they finally responded and stated they would not cancel the agreement. This entire process has been extremely distressing. I believe I was subjected to deceptive practices, and the company failed to provide transparent, honest communication before and after the signing of the contract.Request:I am seeking the BBBs help to:1.Facilitate the cancellation of my timeshare contract with Holiday Lounge.2.Obtain a refund of any payments made.I sincerely appreciate your attention to this matter and hope you can assist in resolving this issue promptly.Initial Complaint

Presentation that was said to be only 90 minutes, and ended up being 3 hours long on 11/2023 in *****. We were told we cannot use the contract after signing for $12,498 until 50 % of that was paid. ******, the manager, was not responsive to text and call 1 day post signing when trying to cancel. After speaking with the staff in person they pressured us into signing an updated contract where we could assess in a few days rather than months. Months of trying to use the website it does not work without additonal payments Our ***resentative ********* ********* left the company and we were without a booking agent for the spring of 2024 which made it unbearable to access the confusing site. We were provided a new *** who knows little about he company. Upon reviewing the contract. We were misinformed that when booking there are $2000 resort fees that you must pay upon arrival for resorts On top of that there are annual fees for every single contract within the holidays lounge ( jan/Feb , may and November ) we were not informed of. The contract was not properly signed by admin and authorized agent when reviewing it. They are using Interval World /*** as a trading company and hiding behind the name Holiday lounge. There are some pages within the contract where my name was written by the agent and not myself including the resort com credit card. It has been a year and i am unable to use site. i was told by my new agent ********* ****** that we do not have a fee coming up and we are current. I was told by another agent i owe 199 for an annual fee. I am requesting cancellation of this contract due to failure to deliever promised services as well as understaffing to help members like me who are new. I request that the company provide written confirmation of the cancellation and any next steps to complete this process.Customer Answer

My ************* went to ***** for his b-day in April 2024. We took a trip to ***** downtown, using a boat by Miami Sip....on route back to the bay, a man passed small papers asking we fill out our personal info. to be entered to "win a vacation." Only 3 couples would win. We won. He explained that he worked for *************************** needed to go to their office to claim the vacation. We went the following day, last day in our trip. We met a lady Xani/Honey showed us a room similar to what we could rent by joining this "membership" = timeshare. Stated they weren't a timeshare, no requirements of yearly mortgage but we pay a yearly fee. It's a timeshare stated in "*****************" A director, ******, joined us stated, we would get unlimited getaways. Book a hotel for 7 days "anytime & only pay $99." Once he run my credit, he stated total price for the package would be $31,199 ($30,000 +$1199 closing cost). Stated that we would only be paying $300/month and so, I thought that would be affordable and not straining me financially. We had to wait 30 days for the application to be activated. They blindside you so that you do not really know how they operate & that they don't offer what they say & by that time, you can't get out of contract.Getting hold of "my agent" was a battle on its own. Once I was able to login to my accounts and try to book a hotel, I realized immediately that it costed more than me booking through Priceline. I could not believe that people can lie so much & put you in a financial bind without any care in the world. My credit card bills are min of $180 & $440 = $620/month. Double what ****** stated. I called him he stated he'd talk to his boss to see if my payments would be lowered, haven't heard back in months. He made a sale, made his money and moved on to other people. They refused to buy the timeshare back. This has been my worst nightmare. They lied to us to make a sale and I wish they would buy their timeshare back.Initial Complaint

First of all, I shouldnt have an account with this company as I signed a release from a subsidary/related company, Ascendant Holidays. This release states Im to be released from ALL related companies, yet my equity of payments was transferred to Holidays Lounge by them. The main issue here is that I called and spoke with ********* ****** already explaining I wanted nothing to do with a vacation membership plan, and was not requesting a refund but just to not owe any payments and cancel the plan as I have never used it and dont plan to. He threatened saying my credit would be damaged and kept telling me I could get out of the membership only by paying it off. I said I wasnt interested and mentioned the release I had signed. Today I received an email from ResortCom, the ****** Holidays Lounge uses, saying an automatic payment went through on my card. Never not once did I authorize automatic payments nor did I give this card info. This same exact situation happened with Ascendant Holidays, and is one of the reasons they refunded me and cancelled my plan.I just want no further contact from Holidays Lounge and all related companies and for my membership to be cancelled for no further payments.Customer Answer

I was promised a 7 night stay in *********** in exchange for a couple hours of my time for a presentation. The presentation exceeded a couple of hours. I drove 2 hours each way and spent a lot of gas to attend this promotional presentation. I also paid a deposit on the voucher to activate the reward. My voucher I received did not include Tokyo as promised. I emailed the company's main contact, and the person that told me that I was given a voucher for ***** on 9/23/23, 10/9/23, 1/11/24, and 5/21/24. They will not respond or fix the problem. They took my money for activation. They have scammed me and ignored me. I need the correct 7 day voucher for a stay in ***** as promised.Customer Answer

We signed for a membership first on Thursday June 27th, went back the next day to cancel but they changed our contract and we signed a new one on Friday the 28th.The business opened a credit card for us of $4,200 based on my credit to avoid having to pay a down payment. The rest of the money we had to pay was $11,****** disputing this because we tried to cancel 3 days after, on Wednesday the 3rd and they said they wouldnt, even though they had said we could cancel whenever and not pay another cent to them. Now theyre saying that even if I cancel, Ill still have to pay my debt of $4,200 to the credit card because they already took that money from the card and its showing as a balance on my account. The business has not tried to resolve this issue, they just keep giving excuses as to why they cant cancel and lately have stopped responding to our calls and texts. This is a membership, not a loan, but they are treating it as a loan and forcing me to pay for the membership, otherwise my credit will be affected.Initial Complaint

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Holidays Lounge regarding a series of unresolved issues and poor customer service I have experienced. I believe I have been misled and scammed into investing over $15,000 in a vacation package that was misrepresented by the company. Initial Sales Interaction: I worked with a sales representative named *******************, who sold me a vacation package with the promise of a lifetime membership granting access to thousands of resorts worldwide. I was assured this was not a typical timeshare but an exclusive exchange program. The total cost was $16,169, with financing arranged to keep my monthly payments under $160. I stressed the importance of consolidating payments to stay within my budget. **** was communicative until March 7th, when he failed to follow through on a scheduled call. Despite multiple follow-*** via text on March 11th, 12th, and 14th, he did not respond in a timely manner. When he finally responded on March 14th, we agreed to speak at 12-1 PM, but he did not call as promised. Subsequent attempts to contact him on March 18th, 19th, and 23rd were ignored. On March 23rd, I called customer service and spoke with ******, who referred me to another number. Repeated attempts to reach someone at that number were unsuccessful. On March 25th, I spoke with a manager named *******, who promised to escalate the issue to the sales team. Although I received a confirmation call from ******* and a call from ******, no further resolution has been provided. I have been left in a precarious financial situation with a company that has not honored the agreed terms, nor have they taken meaningful steps to resolve my concerns. I feel deceived and defrauded, and I am seeking intervention to resolve this matter and prevent others from experiencing similar issues. I am requesting that Holidays Lounge either provide the promised services under the agreed payment terms or refund the investment I made in this vacation package.Business Response

A representative from Holidays Lounge contacted me in late June to confirm that my account had been canceled in March. However, this information was incorrect, as I was still receiving statements from Barclays and Holidays Lounge requesting payment. The representative asked me to sign the attached contract and remove my review from the BBB, assuring me that I had no pending debt. However, the document does not mention anything about relieving me of the $15,000+ debt I incurred from registering for this program. I am seeking full absolution from this account, proof that my credit is not affected, and confirmation that I have no pending debt.Customer Answer
