This was a title loan . Firstly the aggressive collection efforts were offensive and borderline harassment. Secondly when a resolution could not be met . They took possession of the car and title as fullfillment on collateral . They still have my debt marked as settled years later . Instead they have illegally sold my debt to a third party. My non existant debt . It is affecting my credit scores present day and has been a problem for years . Someone please help me .

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/08/25) */ Thank you for notifying us of Mr. ******'s complaint. We appreciate this opportunity to respond. The company operates in strict compliance with state and federal laws and has committed no wrongdoing. First, a review of all collection activity on Mr. ******'s account proves that the company's efforts to reach Mr. ****** were not excessive, aggressive or harassing. It was simply making a good faith effort to reach Mr. ******, who had extremely limited communication with the company and did not submit his payment as agreed. Next, despite Mr. ******'s contentions, the company did not repossess his vehicle, nor did it ever consider his loan obligation as 'settled'. With that said, if Mr. ****** has any further questions or concerns, he should contact HS Financial Group, LLC at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Thank you again for your assistance with this matter, as well as the opportunity to respond.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/10) */ Thank you for notifying us of Ms. *****'s complaint. We appreciate this opportunity to respond. An investigation proved the company committed no wrongdoing. When Ms. ***** redeemed her vehicle after it was repossessed, the company mailed the appropriate paperwork to the BMV. However, it was apparently lost in the mail. Thereafter, the company mailed the necessary documents to the BMV again, but do to circumstances beyond the company's contract, the BMV did not receive it. Nonetheless, the company has again sent the appropriate documents via over-night mail to the BMV. *******, the company's Assistant General Counsel confirmed that the BMV received the documents and was told it will take up to 5 business days to process the request. The company provided the BMV with the ability to overnight the new title back to the company once its processed. As soon as the company receives the title, it will then overnight it to Ms. *****. The company is sorry for the delay; however, it has no control over the U.S. Mail, the BMV, or the adverse affect the Pandemic has had on such matters. The company is working diligently to get Ms. ***** her title. ******* did speak to Ms. *****, however, should she have any further questions, Ms. ***** can call ******* directly at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Thank you again for your assistance with this matter, as well as the opportunity to respond.

I applied for on loan on my Honda, I was unable to pay on it due to losing income and the car was taken. It sold and there was a refund of 60.16 due. I was told in Feb it would be 60 days, well now it's well over 90 days. All I get is the run-around. I have called the local office after 60 days and was told I needed to call the corporate office left a message and never heard back.I called Farmville again given corporate again and the woman on the call was extremely rude. I waited to see if maybe it would come, and never did. I called again on July 26, the young lady called the Richmond office to see if it could be mailed to the Farmville office where I could pick it up or mailed to me. She called me back and said it may be a while and it would come from corporate. At this point, I should get interest on how long it's been. I want my money asap. I will contact a lawyer if no resolution is met thru this process . ***** ****** Jr XXXXXXXXXX XXXX ******* ** *********** XXXXX

An investigation of into the grievance proved the company committed no wrongdoing. The company mailed Mr. ****** the check. Thank you again for your assistance with this matter, as well as the opportunity to respond. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2021/08/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The check wasn't even cut until after I sent this complaint to the BBB. Not going to argue but it's not as if they sent it before this complaint and I want that to be pointed out. In your eyes there was no wrong doing on their end however the numerous complaints about them and almost the exact situation as mine speaks volumes.

Some consumers may elect to not publish the details of their complaints, some complaints may not meet BBB's standards for publication, or BBB may display a portion of complaints when a high volume is received for a particular business.
