I made a deposit of $153 for my truck to be transported on October 23. After this company failed to find a driver and cancelled the order and was promised a full refund. It is now November 19. My point of contact is ******* Read. He continually tells me the money will be refunded in two days. This company agreed to arrange shipment of my car from ** to **. Two days after the scheduled pickup date they called and said the driver had mechanical problems and could not pickup the vehicle. I was then told they could get a drive if I was wiling to pay 700 dollars. I had already paid the broker 125 dollars and was to pay the driver and additional 450 dollars on delivery. I would not agree to this and requested my 125 dollars be refunded, The dispatch manager said they had spent some on the ****** and could not refund me the upfront payment. All of the afore listed transactions and agreement were done by email and I have a copy of them. I am of the opinion they were dishonest and knew from the beginning they would be requesting more money.Business Response

Sir, technical issues happens on the road If we are hauling multiple cars on the same trailer, just to avoid any delays sometimes we hires a private drivers as well to do the job on time. Yes we charge the reservation for proceeding tolls and taxes and for the insurance as well. Contacted dealer to transport vehicle. contract signed. Less that 24 hours before scheduled pickup was asked to pay increased fee because he said the driver wanted more money. He threatened to cancel my shipment if I did not agree to an increased rate. Having no other option that close to my move I did agree to an increased fee if he absorbed part of the increased rate, and I did part of it. The car is now late by more than 5 days and has yet to be delivered. This has left me with no transportation in a city all the way across the country while starting a new job. I have incurred significant extra expenses from this delay. No one contacted me to make me aware of the delay, I only found out because my car's tracking system showed it sitting in the same spot in ********** for several days. I then inquired as to why my vehicle was stationary for several days. The driver was unresponsive, the broker at cheapautotrans reached out to me a day later with an update. I was told the truck transporting my vehicle broke down and given the number for Iver auto transport because the broker at cheapautotrans told me that was who they had ship my car. Even though delays happen, I should have at the very least been contacted and informed of this. I found this lack of communication and changing terms on a contract less than 24hrs prior to pick up time highly unprofessional. The fact that I was not informed was unacceptable and their practices in general I found to be predatory and borderline extortion. I would not use this company again or recommend them to anyone in good faith. When I asked at the very least they refund my deposit to make things right they declined to do so or take any form of accountability whatsoever and he said it was "just my bad luck".Initial Complaint

Telemarketing- almost daily this company is calling and text messaging me offering their services. I keep asking them to stop contacting and remove me from their contact list. It does not help. Over a year of this and it is getting extremely exhausting. They contact me from a new phone number each time, so blocking them does no good. I feel harassed and the only option I have at this point is to change my phone number that I have had for 20 years. I utilized their services one time in April of 2023 to transport a vehicle and completed the transaction at that time. I have never expressed further interest in conducting business with them since. I received a response back and accepted the resolution from them saying they will remove me from their contact list. That did not happen and I am still getting called. I need to escalate the matter. Called me on 6/11/24. Called me on 6/15/24. Called me on 6/18/24. Received 3 text messages on 6/19/24. Called me on 6/26/24.

I started working this company on June 3, 2024. They provided me a quote for 755 to ship my nonoperable vehicle. Immediately the price increased after I paid $200 deposit. I told them the increase is an absorbed amount. I received a new reason almost everyday why the cost would be. Good thing I didn't sign the final contract. I asked them refund my deposit. I made a $200 deposit the with Cheap Auto Trans in April for my car to be shipped May 2024. 1 day before it was set to be picked up I received a text message saying they had not found a carrier within the price range they originially quoted me for which was $585. The new quote was for $1000. When I disputed such a large difference they said give them a few more days to lower the cost. It has been a few days and with no resolve. On March 14, 2024, I started communicating with ***************************** of Cheap Auto Trans. I requested that they ship my vehicle from ***************, *** to ******, **. ***************************** told me that the driver would be in **. on Saturday March 16, 2024 and could pick our vehicle up between 11:00 and 2:00. I was provided with the cost and an itemized list of the charges. I was told a $190 was due now and the remaining at delivery. We ultimately decided that the vehicle would be picked on Monday March 18, 2024 and delivered on Tuesday with the latest being Wednesday. The payment of $190 was made on March 15, 2024. On Monday March 18, 2024, I received a message from ***************************** who claimed the driver was stuck in Copart, Va. picking up an inoperative vehicle which has delayed the driver. Initially, he wanted to schedule a time later in the evening which we agreed to. However, he contacted us asking if they could pick the vehicle up the following day (Tuesday) which we agreed. After four days of going back and forth on why the driver has yet to pick up the vehicle, ***************************** told us we needed to give this company another $450 if we wanted our vehicle delivered. According to *****************************, the driver assigned to pickup our vehicle was not dependable and was a bad driver. The only option he gave us was to pay $450 additional dollars. We declined because more than four days had passed and our vehicle had not been retrieved. We asked for a refund which ***************************** agreed to. He told us that our refund request was going to the appropriate department and we should receive our refund within three days. We have called to check on the status of our refund and the company is not answering the phone. To date, we have not received our refund. Company offered to transport my vehicle for $325 and sent a quote for that amount. Was by a rep by the name of ************ Once he got all my info, he quickly stated that if I paid more he could ship my car that day. I told him thanks but was not interested in a higher price. I told him that I would wait until he could ship at the stated rate. One week later he said that rate wasnt likely to happen and if I paid more then he could have it picked up asap. He offered to pay a portion of the higher rate adn I agreed due to him saying that he would pay $50 to drop the rate. The new quote was $100 greater than the original quote - with the included $50 payment on his side. I agreed to price and a change order was sent. He stated that vehicle would be picked up that day, which it was and it would be delivered that night. Driver called and stated they couldn't deliver that day and would drop the next day, I was ok with that. Transport driver arrived and stated that I owed $350, even though the receipt/change order that I received from Cheap auto stated it would be $325. I attempted to contact ****, but he did not respond. The driver would not release the vehicle until I paid his higher amount, he also didn't give me a receipt. I paid the $350 so I could get my vehicle. I text **** the next day about refunding me the amount owed, no response, I sent an email to **** and no response, I sent a 2nd text to **** and no response. Hello, I did a online car shipping quote with cheap auto Trans. They quoted me $725 to shipping my truck for me with $225 deposit. That I sent on March 16th. They set a date, then they never showed up. Then they tell me they have no driver& that now it will be $1500 now. So I decided to wait too ship it. I ask for a refund. & they said they was gonna process refund. I received a email saying 4 to 5 days. And I still haven't received it. They keep telling me to be patient with my money that I work hard for. Now they saying it's the holiday making it late. But I request a refund way before the holiday. And they keep giving me the run around
