Had contract a month in advanced Signed. The car was to be picked up in MD and taken to ******* *******. I left MD the day before the pickup date. Had a rental car at the time. While in route after leaving the car for pickup I got a call from ***************************** the Broker telling us if we did not pay an xtra $250.00 on top of signed agreement they would not pickup the car. The car was going to be towed if not picked up as agreed upon by singed contract. They demanded that my wife who was home along in ******* go to the bank and get the xtra money in cash only. The following day they called when car was picked up and demanded more cash on top of the money they already requested. Then we were told if we did not get the xtra $50.00 they would drop the cat in ***** ******* over two hours from the house. Total extortion! We are seniors and started to file a Police report but the stress was over whelming. These companies appear to have no regulations to control them. They claimed they fired *************************** the Broker for her what they called a Con ***. Not true as ***************************** sent an email to me yesterday asking for more business from Cheap Auto Transport. If we lived In their area we would file a small claims case immediately. I am familiar with transport companies. If we don't received a refund this will not stop here we promise you

This is the second time I have dealt with this company and the exact occurrence happened both times. The first time they refunded me the difference and apologized and said it would not happen again so I trusted them and they did the exact same fraudulent business practice as the first time. I contacted them to ship a car from ********** to **** two weeks prior to the pick up date. They quoted a price of $930. Leading up to the pick up date, I would get texts from their employee *********************** saying he was processing the order and to have a blessed day. The day prior to them picking up I had not heard from them and contacted them. They told me the price is now $1300. So once again they did a bait and switch and lock you in with a lower price and when you are stuck at the last second and they say the price has gone up from what you were promised. Due to my time constraints I had no choice but to unfortunately use their services. This company business practices are based on fraudulent quotes in order to lock you in then they know you are between a rock and a hard place and raise the price. They are very unethical and shady and I have filed a fraudulent business practice complaint with the *** as well as the Better Business Bureau. I encourage others to do the same so this company is held accountable.

I received a quote from this company for 100 dollars to ship my vehicle once i paid they then came back and charged me another 125 dollars upon delivery. I told then to give the money back and they said dont worry we will not charge the extra 125$ . I said ok and scheduled them to ship the car. Once the car was shipped the driver demanded 125 to release the vehicle which the mechanic payed on my behalf. I then spoke with the manager ***** and he assure me there would be a refund of my 100$. He then never sent the refund and has been dodging my calls.

Cheap auto trans is an absolute scam. After reading all the negative reviews, I decided to contact the company. ***********************, the representative, will lie to you that the reviews are made by their competitors. I believed him and signed a $625-contract to ship a vehicle. At the same time, he calls the driver and dispatches him for $1,200. The car was not picked up on time because this company does not have any drivers. The $625 - contract was changed to $1,300, then to $1,400 and I did not have a choice but to accept because after you've paid the down-payment, cheap auto trans will change the contract and the amounts as needed. The worst part was that I was waiting for the driver with less money than I had to pay because *********************** promised more money to the driver without telling me. The driver, not knowing what was going on, loaded back the car quickly when he realized I did not have the full amount promised to him by ***********************. What an evil game? Please do not sign their contract because it's nothing but a trap to deny you from filling a bank claim.

I signed an agreement for $900 to have my sons car shipped from ** to **. The day of pick up ******* calls me and says that the driver is late and that he will pick up the following day. Saturday comes around and he calls me and says the driver is now asking for $1300 instead of $900 because there is only 1 spot left. They were asking me to pay an additional $150 on top of the $200 I already paid and give the driver $950 in cash. Good ol bait and switch. I would stay far away from this company as it seems like no one knows what they are doing. The customer support person began to talk about the owner ***** and how his wife was in the hospital and had a baby and he was excited for the baby. WTF are you talking about? What does that have to do with anything? The customer service person then calls me and says you can negotiate directly with the driver. He gives me another # and its his ***** sitting next to him and says " I am the driver". I'm like, it sounds like you are in a call center. He then says, well actually I am in the dispatch center. I'm like, I thought you just said you were the driver? Let's report this company and band together to get them out of business. I am requesting my $200 back!
