We received a notice that Mailchimp's automatic "abuse prevention system" detected that we posted prohibited content and suspended our account (see email below). I read their "Standard Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use Policy" and we definitely did not violate anything. I submitted an email to their compliance department and only received another automatic response saying we need to find another vendor (see second email below). I tried to call and was told only premium subscribers can talk to someone on the phone. I believe this is a scam, and they are trying to force us to upgrade our account to fix this issue. I cannot get a human to look into this suspension and reverse it. I am a victim of spam, phishing and financial fraud for which MailChimp is partially responsible. The spam attacks on myself and members of my family assisted by MailChimp are intended to impair our ability to monitor legitimate mail sent by banks and financial institutions where the attackers are targeting for financial fraud. Please note that I have never provided my email address to MailChimp or any of its clients. I believe that MailChimp is carelessly spamming victims such as myself with hundreds of emails a day, possibly without their clients knowing about it.I am demanding that MailChimp be held accountable for their reckless business conduct. I am also demanding that a MailChimp representative contact me at my email address or phone number that I will provide to the Better Business Bureau in order for email addresses belonging to me and my family which they are targeting be removed from their list of spam targets.Below is a sample spam among hundreds of spams I have received, which shows the sender as ********************* sent to my email address. The company Incapala whose website is incalpacastores.com is among many clients of MailChimp who are sending me dozens of spam every day. I have masked my email address in the header below for security reasons. I am rejecting this response because:In light of the multifaceted financial fraud and spam attack that my family and I have experienced, I would like to know how MailChimp obtained my email address ************************************** and why it was distributed among so many of MailChimp clients without my consent as shown below. MailChimp owes me an explanation. I never gave my email address to any of these businesses and I have been bombarded by hundreds of emails a day just from these few clients of MailChimp. There are probably other businesses who have spammed me through MailChimp and I have not managed to document their linkage to MailChimp.

Mailchimp made monthly recurring charges on my credit card. When I noticed, it was almost impossible to get in touch with their billing department (the only phone number publicly available is sales department and they would not provide me with a number for billing). When I finally was able to obtain an email, I had to provide exhaustive information and after several weeks, they agreed to halt future charges on my credit card, but would not issue a refund. I never heard of this company (which is owned by Intuit) and never signed up for any of their services.Business Response

I had a Mailchimp account that I no longer use and closed it on November 2, 2023. I was fraudulently billed at the end of November for services ($69). Then I was billed again in December 2023($75-price increase?), January 2024 ($75) and about to be billed again in February ($75). I have contacted their billing department by email, because they do not have a customer service telephone number, multiple times and initially received an acknowledgement email and a service ticket number. My ticket number originally was (********). But I never received follow-up after a month.I have called their sales department, the only available phone number to reach mailchimp direcly, but nobody will assist me with billing. I was told that I needed to fill out an online form which they send you. They sent it and I filled it out. That was when I got the first ticket number. There was never a response passed the acknowledgement email and ticket number.Today I received a new ticket number (********) acknowledging that they received a new billing inquiry.I have never received any follow-up regarding the fraudulent charges or billing errors or how to get get access to remove my card on file. Because I closed my account, I no longer have access to remove my debit card on file, which they keep charging. I need Mailchimp to refund the previous charges and stop charging me. I am rejecting this response because:MailChimp agreed to remove my credit card on file from my account that I closed 4 months earlier but they continued to charge me a monthly fee. Since I had no way to log-in or communicate with MailChimp, because the account didn't exist I continued to file customers service inquiries sine they don't have a phone number. I was not assisted until the BBB got involved. MailChimp finally reached out, but refused to refund the months of charges that they didn't provide service and told me to take it up with my credit card company to file for a chargeback against MailChimp to try and seek reimbursement. They told me it is against their policy to issue refunds.
That is extremely poor customer service and a sad excuse to refer to an internal policy the screws over a customer for corporate greed. Suspicious how they won't respond to customer service billing issues for over a month until I contacted the BBB. Shame on MailChimp!

I've been trying to get access to my Mailchimp account, which I used to store thousands of customer emails. I changed cellphone carriers and my phone number has changed, so I cannot receive the login code. I have spent thousands of dollars and time building my email list, and I cannot get any help from this company. they only respond by email and they have no legitimist reason to not let me get access. I have the original email, I have proof that the account is mine, but they offer no help to recover my account. Mailchimp will not give me access to an email marketing database I pay for each. month on my amex ending in ****. Their support is terrible.Emails go to someone that asks for/states 1.) Mailchimp charged me more than the original stated amount. When I tried to cancel, they tried charging me again for the same amount. They said the only way to cancel and get a refund is via email, they cannot handle these requests via the telephone. Nobody responded to my email claim and I have since been charged again. I was using mailchimp and my credit card was charged $166.53 without telling me. This was an unreasonable charge and my consent was not obtained. I contacted mailchimp but they did not address the resolution. So I have to turn to your authority to help me. I hope I can get back the amount that was unreasonably deducted.
