Hi there! We checked in with our Support team and it sounds like their most recent post may have landed in spam. We let them know the case was closed by mistake and they're resending a response to help get this resolved for you.Review from Anycia G

I am a one-person social enterprise who was preparing to send my first email campaign. My contact list was legitimate. I was preparing to send my first campaign through scheduled send when I received a message indicating a violation of abuse which I was unsure what I was violating. I responded to the violation indicating I was unsure what had occurred. I received this email: "Kaleb (Mailchimp)Dec 21, 2024, 6:23PM EST Hello, After a thorough review of your account, unfortunately, the risk associated with the account is too great for us to support sending. This isnt an issue of the legitimacy of your business. As a bulk-delivery service, we must protect the deliverability of all our customers. For more information, please reference the following: ****************************************************** We do have to ask that a new vendor be found for your email delivery needs. Export and ********************* *********************************************************************** Account privacy and security are paramount to us, so we're not able to close an account on a user's behalf. However, this article walks you through how to close your Mailchimp account: Close an Account: ********************************************************* Any refund inquiries can be sent to our Billing Team by visiting: ******************************************* Select Billing in the dropdown menu. After that, select ******************* then click Access our contact form We appreciate your understanding in this matter."I am still uncertain what happened, but now I have to delay an already prolonged process to identify another company when I am unsure why I had to close the account in the first place. They did not even afford me the opportunity to rectify whatever issue I unintentionally caused.Review from Kris f

This company denies your EIN to set up SMS text marketing services to get a copy for verification and you never resolve it. I suspect them to committing identity theft and they are so unprofessional they have to be scammers. This cant ve the same Intuit that we trust to complete out taxes. They are not reputable at all. How can I take action?Review from Phyllis G

No wonder there employee that lives next to me is s professional hacker and thief. He suppose to to be working from home. He couldn't be doing much work setting at home watching my family every move. And hacking to our computer and phones... probably why the company has so many bad reviews.Review from Nodari R

The company charged me to "leave". We were charged 240$ to close the account. The first thing that they will do, they will make it as difficult as possible to downgrade the plans. Further they will take as much time as possible to drag time to keep you on the plane. Further in order to "stop the service" they will charge you. Stay Away at any cost!Review from jason m

The company employs promotions to encourage users to maintain active accounts with their email marketing services. However, a notable drawback is the lack of transparency regarding the promotion's end date and overage payments. We were misled as the system indicated a charge of $0 in the upcoming payment, but we were charged $576. Mailchimp does not offer a refund, and you cannot cancel the account without incurring additional overage payments.Furthermore, there is a lack of information about overage payments for cancelling the subscription after promotion. The billing page stipulates, "You'll be prompted to pay $396.00 in overages before your account can be deleted." MailChimp fails to inform about this clawback payment, leaving customers unaware of these charges until they attempt to cancel the plan, which is contingent upon paying $396 in overage payments. In accordance with consumer protection laws, businesses are mandated to provide clear and transparent information to consumers, ensuring fair practices. The lack of transparency about promotion end dates and the initial indication of a $0 charge, followed by an excessive actual charge, raises concerns regarding the business's compliance with these regulations. Consumers have the right to accurate and comprehensive information to make informed purchase decisions. Moreover, under consumer protection laws, businesses are generally required to disclose any potential penalties or additional charges associated with cancelling a subscription. The failure to inform customers about the $396.00 overage payment and the subsequent inability to cancel the account without incurring this cost may be viewed as a violation of these consumer protection regulations.Customers have the right to be fully informed about the terms and conditions of their transactions, and any attempt to withhold critical information until a later stage, such as when canceling the plan, may be deemed as unfair and deceptive business practices.Review from Ivy M

This company will not let me access my own account after my social media person created their own security questions and used their phone number to log in. I proved them I was the rightful owner and yet the rather let an outside of the company person, that has no legal right to our company, to keep access, but me that I am the owner I can't get in.Review from Elizabeth F

This company is outright stealing from me at this point. Backstory: I had an account with them but when I changed my phone number, it is harder to get back into my mailchimp account than get into ***** They sent me an extensive list of things I am expected to remember, including account configuration settings that I have no idea what they even mean. So I decided to cancel my account. I have been trying to do so for two months. By phone or chat "they have no access to billing". You have to email them. I have emailed and emailed both their general email address and billing address many many times over the last month and a half with no answer. They have no interest in removing my card information. Filing with my bank now of course, but it is the worst customer service I've experienced with any company.Review from Christine K

They cannot figure out why I cannot upgrade our account from a free account to a paying account. They have been putting me off with "I don't know"s for weeks. If I could rate this company a negative number I would.
